  1. I was going to go to CPA... but since I knew they'd be doing live updates... hmmm, sounds like maybe Coach Pack should keep the computers out or force delayed reports. I'm kidding Del! I'm kidding! Looking forward to the updates!
  2. Grrr, I really wanted to be there... oh well. Make sure my announcement sounds good! I'll be checking often while watching Pittsburg and Dallas. Thanks for keeping us updated tonight!
  3. Boy do I ever agree with ya Rebelguy! Then again... I never heard him. LOL. Just know what all my Franklin people have said. Thank God he retired! You all should listen to the CoachT.com game of the week... they have a pretty decent play by play guy on them.
  4. You seem like you are a little unsure of yourself... OK folks, seriously now. Let's get in some good last-second discussion. We've got a great battle on tap for tomorrow night. Let me just go ahead and say it since I've said it to quite a few people: I think Franklin will win tomorrow night. The point spread will be anywhere from 1 to as many as 10. I also think this will be around a 28-21 or so game. Not too high scoring but not a defensive battle. Lincoln County will have to be able to get the ball to someone besides Edmitson as the night goes on. He can't carry the whole team (no one person can do that on any team if you ask me) and with it being the first game, conditioning will be a huge factor.
  5. I'm very confident in my Rebels this year as well... and I never called you cocky. I called you bold.
  6. Ha, good point... kinda pulled myself into that one? Hope y'all win tonight, I was just going based on what in Murphy's book. Grundy sounds tough. Good luck though. Surprise me!
  7. Wellll, it now appears that I won't be able to go and hear my CoachT announcement. The brakes are just too bad on the car... get payed tomorrow, brakes fixed one day late on Friday. CoachT, wanna pick me up on your way to the game? Hahaha, I'm kidding. OK, seriously now, this should be a very good, very close contest. If CPA doesn't want to start off at least 0-2, they need to win tonight. If they don't, it won't do much for momentum heading into next week's battle with Riverdale (which I won't be able to see becuase I'll be in a three hour long music appreciation class at Columbia State.... no comment). Looking forward to a detailed report from the CPA/CoachT faithful. And hey, why not, GO LIONS!
  8. Ok folks, here we are, less than 42 hours away from the kickoff of Franktown Football 2003! Which means it's only about 38 until I leave Franklin on my journey towards the Pit... ah, how exciting. So I'm at work tonight at the Old Navy in Cool Springs. I'm ringing some people up, look at the girl's driver's licence and notice that it is from Fayetteville. So I naturally ask "y'all ready to get beat Friday night?" And she looked at me like I was an idiot. Then she realized, "oh, the football game. Never have been, won't be going this year." Must be one of a very few! So what are everyone's last-second thoughts? Anyone want to offer up a prediction or perhaps chance a previous one? I'm still not going to, too dangerous after my week 7 last year. I do think Franklin has all the tools to win... it's how the tools are used. We'll see come Friday night. GO REBELS!
  9. I feel like the Black Eyed Peas but folks, where is the love? I guess we're just going to have to do like last year and prove that we are as good as billed, if not better. Franklin is 2-2 in the Pit as a Falcon pointed out. I have tried to stay cool but Franklin IS the better team. Franklin IS pumped for this game. Getting started on the right foot is very important and Franklin realizes this. Just be ready come Friday night. I won't be surprised but you might be! I'm especially disapointed in you wildcatfan. You NEVER give Franklin any credit. Perhaps I'll stop being so nice to BGA. Ok, sorry, but I had to vent. GO REBELS!!!
  10. Have the Jefferson County fans always been this bold and I just haven't noticed it???
  11. Even with all those reasons I gave you to pick Franklin???
  12. With Kevyn Murray on the cover, naturally, I'm very pleased with the insert. The City Paper has always concentrated on Nashville with some emphasis at times in Williamson County. It's their choice who they cover. If you don't like it, you don't have to pick it up. They deliver the Tennessean to Knoxville, but I'm sure they don't complain that Knox County scores aren't it. Not exactly the same thing but close... Way to go guys at the City Paper!
  13. Centennial 21 Brentwood Academy 20 Grundy County 20 Page 14 I will not pick the score of my Rebels game. I'm going to abstain from doing that this year.
  14. Centennial 21 BA 20 (I have to be consistent... though an Eagle victory is more than likely possible) CBHS 28 Melrose 21 Franklin County 10 Father Ryan 0 McCallie 27 Hixson 7 (don't know anything about Hixson, don't feel like consulting Murphy right now) Whitehaven 22 MUS 8 (that'd be an odd score) Trinity (KY) 52 MBA 48 (that'd be an odd score, too)
  15. Oh... I don't do that too well so I never imagine anyone else being able to do it either. GB, I'll make a prediction... you'll make more than 3 posts on this thread.
  16. As long as wildcatfan and Commish5238 don't sing Take Me Out to the Ball Game we'll be ok
  17. As a proud alumni of the FHS theatre department, I must say I am very dissapointed in Mrs. Sweitzer. She knows how much I love high school football and how excited I was about this season. But stealing Brad from the team! That's gone too far! I will have to call her immediately!!!
  18. Perhaps Del is the one that convinced them to do it tape-delay...
  19. Won't your fellow CPA people need to be paying attention to the game? Doesn't sound like they will be.
  20. Indeed... but maybe the representative from CPA wouldn't show up and the case would be tossed once again. Are we going to know a winner from your little contest soon??? I'm anxiously waiting...
  21. I'll take a legal pad with me so I have a detailed report for you. It might not be till about 10:30 or 11:00 though... I'm sure the Lincoln Co. folk and CoachT will be home before me and will let ya know how it goes.
  22. I didn't want any of your Sundrop anyways! I'll bring my own.... Mountain Dew! Let's hope the esteemed visitor doesn't bring his dog! There could be a big issue deciding who has jurisdiction in another court case: Williamson County or Davidson County>
  23. Can I pray that he's able to come back AFTER week 3? No, in all seriousness, I hope that this injury is not major at all. Hate to see any guy go down. He's got a prayer from me tonight.
