How can you say that Mikey should make it? What was his scoring average this year (I would guess less than 10 from the Tennessean and watching him). He is a Jr. on a 2-10 team who averages less than 10 points a game and he makes all district. HOW?????????? Especially when Little is a deserving Sr. on the same team!

I am no expert either, but I did ask someone who I respect as one involved with the tournaments and he said it was head to head then best record against the next highest ranked team. In this case (unless CC beats Shelbyville and in that case probably would not need the tie breaker) the next ranked team would be Tullahoma. CC beat them both times and I think they split with Lincoln Co. so CC would get 2nd assuming they beat Franklin County.

Coffee County won a big district 8AAA game to stake a claim to the #2 spot in the district. 4 players in double digits for 2 games in a row. Great win CC!!!!!!

The big kid is Matt Towry and he is good. They also have some great guards led by the Holeymeyer (Spelling) kid. They will be tough to handle. I did notice that Towry did not play against Marshall County, but do not know why? Anyone have any information on Towry?

Exactly!!!!! Stating your opionion on CC is fine and we all have one, but stating your opinion about a certain kid in a negative light does nothing to help CC baseball. Nothing. The bottom line at CC is that they have a great bunch of kids playing baseball. They, with Coach Jones guidance and leadership will pull it together and we as fans and parents need to, above all else, support them in that effort. I know you and I have discussed this Riddlers and it is the only thing we can do to help. We must be positive and stand behind the program!

I just looked it up at Baseball Almanac's website for stats and another website and I was in error: They say OB% is: Hits+Walks+HBP/ At Bats+Walks+HBP+Sac. Flys You learn something new every day I guess. You would think since this stat is supposed to tell you the % of time you reach base safely that it would not matter how you reached base, but it does so I ask your forgiveness and offer you the wisdom of knowing what OB% is from now on out.

I believe it would help your OB%, however it does not count as a hit and counts as an offical at-bat so therefore it would hurt your Batting Average. So for instance if you batted 5 times and walked once, reached on an error (ROE) once, grounded out once, struck out once and doubled once the stats would be like this: OB% - # of times you reached base/total # of ABs = 3/5 = .600 The 3 times you reached were- walk, ROE,double Batting Average- hits/offical AB (offical AB does not include walks, sacrifices or hit by pitch(HBP)at bats) =1/4 = .250 (1 hit (double)/ 5-1(walk)= 1/4)

Don't have one. Should have used my adult head and not got on here in the first place. The post you are talking about is not the one I replied to anyway, but that does not matter! Sorry if my response offended you or made you think I was promoting "my baby". I can guarantee that I will not be on here anymore giving my opinion about anyone else who mentions my son by name in a negative way because what I think or anyone else thinks does not matter. Robert will only get what he works to get. IF he works hard and he shows he needs to play then Coach Jones will be the one deciding what he deserves. Not you nor I so like I said - - my opinion is just that my opinion and counts for nothing when it comes to who plays or who does not and that is the way it should be and the way I want it to be.
