  1. there's no way that ba can earn homefield advantage over MBA am i right?

    Tom Santi

he's also long-snapping so that could bode well for him...i hope he goes a long way so i can bum some tickets and money off of him on sundays if it comes to that

    Tom Santi

as one of his good friends i can say that he is ranked in the top 15 tight ends in the country, and just committed to UVA to play football as of last night.

this is a game between two very run oriented teams. however, the key to CBHS is that their defense is what produces their offense. it's very hard to get a drive rolling to gain field position, and can easily force turnovers on you. if Mcallie can hold onto the ball and find a way to drive they deffinitely have a chance, but yes CBHS is big, strong, fast, and just that good.
  5. I would like to apologize to all readers in this thread for the post by this screename earlier about MBA. i am a student there and check coacht.com from the same computer everyday in the computer lab so my password is stored...someone else must have come on as me and posted that ignorant comment. Although i was pretty angry about the post about DII i would never have publicly announced my frustration. to all gallatin fans i would once again like to appologize to you all for the comments that this person made, and would like to inform you that absolutely everyone in the MBA community has the upmost respect for your program, and sympathy for your new situation and would like to wish you the best of luck for the rest of the year, and hopefully use this stupid rule as inspiration that'll get you into the playoffs and a ring on your finger in the long run.
  6. Who has Lincoln County defeated this year?
  7. MBA is going to have to win their region's golden ball in november in order to be in the top 10 in usatoday. so it's not wanting the rankin over the ring, or the other way around, it's more of wanting the whole package. and trust me, the Big Red wants nothing more than a ring on their finger, but the national ranking is very important to fans and players who are involved if you respect the feat or not...and i think it's good that almost all teams in those rankings must be undefeated, it keeps a team honest with itself, and forces them to never overlook anyone in fear of losing that ranking. and jaco you are right in saying that DB can play with anyone, just as Karns showed friday night that they can...anything can happen any night in high school football which makes it so exciting week in and week out...but i see no logic behind verbally bashing 64Tn because he's just giving his honest opinion, he likes no state more than another, he just loves high school football as a whole, and travels the nation to watch big games so he can fulfill that love of his. He's been posting on many of the MBA threads with RollRedRoll and their knowledge of stats and high school football continues toamaze me so maybe we should just listen and learn somethin from them. and for the record Trinity is now 4-4, with loses to MBA, Elder, St. X (a team that just knocked off #7 St. Ignatius), and one other that i'm not aware of...so they are a good team, whether they should've been ranked or not. #7 St. Ignatius from Ohio and #6 Lincoln from florida both lost this weekend, so MBA should be moving from #13 to #11 in usatoday as of this coming Tuesday.
  8. sadly...i was that receiver that convered santi up...
  9. to clear up the PI call on tom santi on the touchdown that got called back. MBA's receiver Santi's side was on the ball in a two tight end formation, meaning tom santi was "covered up" and not allowed to go downfield and catch a pass. instead on the penalty being illegal man down field, the ref said that since the ball went to santi, and he touched the ball, that that made the penalty PI instead.
  10. offense: Michael Koban, Michael Fisher, Tom Santi, David Holbert, Ryan Karl deffense: Clay Haury, Corey Mills, Holbert and Koban again, Kyle Willis
  11. second most in school history behind 22 in 1986
  12. Coach Floyd Elliot from MBA, no doubt about it...could be a college D.C. for sure.
  13. i agree with flyby, this guy doesn't go to mba. i say this because no one on our team or a member of the community would speak in such a way. he is obviously from another DII-AAA school with a great disliking for MBA, and wants to provide inspiration for CBHS, BA and McCallie. and i'm sure his plan worked

CBHS has a very good team this year, i was not shocked to see that they beat BA, their defense is very strong, and will "shock" a lot more teams this year before it's said and done. i can easily see them playing at vanderbilt this november, anyone in DII AAA can beat anyone, it's just that strong.

from the film we have watched, they are a very very big powerful team, they line three blockers infront of the running back and just play straight power football, rarely passing the ball. Their offensive line is very large, Their backs are all right at 200 if not a little larger. Their smallest man on the roster is 160, but he is a 6' 2" db. Should be a great challenge for us, if we don't stop the run, we won't win, for they will just control the ball the large majority of the game. They run a wishbone type offense very similar to Baylor.
  17. hey i play on the MBA team this year and am i senior. i just wanted to put my two cents in really fast. i love all the pride ya'll have put into TN football and am grateful of your support for us the other night. But i wanted to give credit where it's due here. Coach Elliot, our defensive coordinator, was the master mind of the MBA defense against Trinity, and he does this to teams week in and week out. He is a defensive genious and should be at the next level. Coach Ruttledge has put all defensive matters into his hands and and Coach E was nothing short of perfect in containing Brohm.

  19. haha actually those girls were both seniors, it was no form of hazing, they do it for every game.
  20. FrankL, yes i just had cramps as did matthew jacques, brad french, and jed crumbo, we were really struggling with them. Tom Santi suffered a high ankle sprain in the 1st quarter and sat the rest of the game. I think he will be fine and hopefully ready for next week. That's the only injury that i know of luckily
  21. the pants are the exact same as last year, the jerseys are the only things that have changed. THey are just red and white, but the pnats are still silver so all the school colors are well represented.
  22. FHS if i were you i would go down to MBA sometime during the work week and get your ticket. They are selling them all week in the main office and in the athletics office. I would say they'll probably stop letting people in by kickoff. But to help out, they have opened up three entrances to the field. There will be one entrance for the trinity fans and busloads. one for local and mba students, and then one for the public, just so the lines aren't too long.
  23. no the game will be played at mba for sure. the tickets are already on sale on campus at $6. and i've heard that this game can be sold out, so you really should get there early if you want access.
