yes tom was held out of today's scrimmage with a bruised fibula, just didn't want to take any chances. His backup #31 Drew Carney (sophomore) did very well in his spot. 4 interceptions forced by the mba secondary today.

MBA just got sponsored by nike this year, with new uniforms resembling the ou sooners, should be really nice.

as a member of the team i would also like to have the game at mba, because i am i senior and with that game we still only have 4 home games during the regular season, and would hate to lose this one. Last year i remember how awesome it would've been to have played in the BA brentwood game because of how packed the house was, and this game would put that to shame.

i completely agree with what you said...i would just like to see the teams like riverdale or maryville, teams that know that they will make it to the playoffs regardless of a loss to a private school schedule an MBA or BA for example to see where the real heavyweights are in this state regardless of class or region.

in no way was i trying to make anyone mad, i just don't like always hearing that the 5a team is the best no matter what. i appologize to those i upset. riverdale, maryville, brentwood or any other powerhouse of that nature...please schedule us so that we can finally end this issue reasonably. and region4fan, your sarcasm isn't ammusing. i'm not trying to brag about my school, or proove anything really... i think MBA has already proven itself as one of the elite teams in the state year in and year out. i sincerely hope that lavergne plays us a good game, so it will send a message to the other teams in your division to start playing us again.

i don't understand your logic behind the 5a comment...MBA begs 5a teams to play them every year, but they will only scrimmage us for some reason. i'm all for the 5a/DII AAA title game to see the best team in the state, confident that the dII will win the majority.

i think the whole football world is still wondering and shocked at how ryan moore won mr. football last year...

haha ok ok rollred..here's my editing....they are a very very good team, and we will have to play perfect ball to stand a chance...i'm just sayin from the one game i have seen many times on tape, they are also very beatable

probable starters Joseph Birdsong - very tall and large, got good pt last year Sam Macdonald - somewhat small but strong and very intense Leonard Edwards - moves from guard to center, has gotten much stronger Matthew Barnes - a projected started last year before tearing up his knee....but healthy and should be very good and for some weird reason i can't think of the 5th man, which is very embarassing and i apologize to my teamate that i'm leaving out this line gained some much needed experience last year, and has really worked hard to get stronger and bigger during the off season, so they should be greatly improved from a season ago which was the weak point for much of the year... the only real spot they must fill is center, with wesley langlois graduating, but leonard edwards has worked hard and should fill the spot well

Well i mean i thought that we would have a really good team this year, but things didn't unfold the way they were expected to, so i don't like these kind of threads, but anyway the big red are returning 7 starters and all of its pitching for the most part, and once wylie jones gets back to top form, we should have a quality rotation. with tom santi, michael fisher, and brad french all returning, we should also have a pretty strong lineup next year as well....but who knows

i will try to get you that information tomorrow after our practice...i do know that he's at Vandy, and will be there for the next few weeks...depending on how the oporations go.

I am i member of the football team, and the coaches told us today that he was moved to nashville late last night, and will be going under a few facial reconstrucitve surgeries tomorrow and friday....the prayers have helped so far, so pelase keep him in your thoughts and prayers the next few days.
