For the first time in the schools history the Lincoln Co. Falcons LOSE 7 games in a season. I know Louis can coach but I sure wish he would go back to the ways of the BEAR and run off some of these gangsta wanabes. They are killing the tradition of the Falcons. If we're going to lose, lets loose with kids that will give 100+%. Some of these kids we are keeping on the team may be keeping better kids from participating. All they'll do is end up on the streets of Fayetteville anyway so why put up with them? Get rid of them and let's get back to Falcon football! I don't want to call names or numbers but there's only a couple to start with. Lincoln C. is so much better than they ended. They were underachievers! They could have been so much better. I hope Louis stays and rededicates himself and reavaluates his coaching staff and comes back to coach the way I know that he can. Holtz agrees with Clausen: South Carolina Coach Lou Holtz agreed with Clausen that UT would have beaten Georgia had the quarterback played. ''I honestly believe after watching the film they would not have lost to Georgia if they had Casey Clausen at quarterback,'' Holtz said yesterday And if you believe this I have some ocean front property I'd like to sell you in Arizona.
-
Stallworth is what made Clausen his first 2 years and when Washington is not in the game he's not even an average QB. Without a good reciever Clausen is nothing. UT better be getting somebody else ready to play.
-
It's too bad UT can't have atleast 2 QB's ready to play a football game. Clausen couldn't have been as good as the 2nd string QB, yet the coaches stayed with him the whole game. I think anybody could see he gave the game to Bama and gave it to them early. Are the coaches to blind to see he can't get the job done? If they would go ahead and play Banks or Leaks and get them experienced maybe they could salvage the season. If they stay with Clausen they might not win another game.
-
They'll need it. I hope they tackle better tonight. McCallie likes to run the ball.
-
If Casey Clausen went pro he wouldn't make much money. There are a lot better qb's to be had. I can't imagine who would want him.
-
Tennessean Article Friday 10/18/02 ''I think most definitely if I'd played in that game, we would have won by at least a couple of touchdowns,'' said Clausen. ''I could've played on one arm and we probably could have definitely beat Georgia, but [the doctors] didn't want to risk it.'' I wonder if Alabama has this posted in their locker room! Why would anybody want to fuel that fire? This guy barely beat MTSU and couldn't handle the snap against FL. What makes him think he's so good?
-
Well I don't guess so. He went backwards with that 84 on Wed. in the state tiurnament. Better luck next year!
-
That 77 really shows tatal domination! Can Simpson go low?

Clausen status for UGA in doubt.

Amen to that!!! Why would Fulmer even go to California to get a quarterback? You'd think there would be plenty of good players in the south. I think they need to get that Jim Bob Cooter kid ready. Anybody that can make a 34 out of 35 on the ACT could surly learn the plays. I heard them say they were only running about 10% of their plays because the other qb's couldn't grasp them. -
Any stadium that has a track around it is not a nice stadium. I would much rather watch a football game where I can be closer to the action. A track sure takes you away from the field.

What's wrong with the Titans?
Duckbutterbandit replied to pantherman's topic in Tennessee Titans & NFL Football
Eddie has hit the wall! It only takes one man to bring him down now. The hole closes before he can get to it and he has a guarenteed contract. He has lost his balance. They wore him out in 1999 and 2000. He's DONE!!!! -
It's time to "HUNKER DOWN DOGS!" We'll see what you're made of or what the Big Orange has left in em after 6 OT"S last Saturday night.

I don't see shooting an 80 in the region as very dominating!

TnBball, I think Clarksville has a great team, a great jr. golf program, and are deserving champions. My congradulations go to them. The Oakland boys did not dissapoint me. I thought it would be the year for them. They had a great team for the last 3 or 4 years. They will be losing to many and have to rebuild around Phillip Pettit who just came off a huge win in Athens, GA against some of the best players in the southeast. Provow also did well there. It may have taken something out of them playing in a tournament like that so close to the state tournament. I'm sure they have no regrets. The "Fish" and Brannen are great players and class acts. I'm proud for them. They are tournament players. The future looks very bright for Clarksville golf for the next couple of years. I'm not very familier with Reece, but he must be a player also. I'm sure I'll be seeing more of him. Over all middle TN players did very well in the tournament. It just shows how strong golf is in middle TN. Congradulations to Cody Hale a great player and deserving champion. Best wishes on getting to go and play for the college of your choice.

It's pretty easy to see that #28 should be the tailback. No I don't go to any practices. Sometimes players play better than they practice. It's easy to see that #28 is by far a better running back. #11 has a tendency to fumble. Franklin would have a loss on their record if #11 had not fumbled on the goal line late in the game. #11 likes to stop and dance while carrying the ball. #28 will run over people and I haven't seen him fumble yet. #28 has more yards per carry. #11 has way more carries. Yea I sit up in the stands and I cheer for the team. I don't critisize. I don't blame it all on Coach Thompson because he gets his recomendations from his assistant coaches. I think Coach Thompson is still a good coach and Lincoln County can still win State Championships under his leadership. All coaches just like players have bad years. Just ask Phil Fulmer and Jeff Fisher. It doesn't mean they can't coach. Sometimes it seems they just can't see the forrest for the trees.

Pettitt Claims Title at UGA Invitational The 2002 Autotrader.com U.G.A.Invitational was held on October 5-6, 2002 at the University of Georgia Golf Course in Athens, Georgia. Ninety players were invited to compete in this exclusive event, which is a nationally ranked event by Golfweek. From this strong field, one player emerged on top. Philip Pettitt Jr. fired rounds of 69 and 68 to win the overall title by 5 shots. Pettitt of Murfreesboro, Tennessee held the lead after round one by 2 shots. He added to that lead during the second round by making three birdies on his last three holes, including an approach shot on the long par-4 18th hole, which he almost holed!
-
This can not all be blamed on the players but everybody. This is a team loss. The coaches are not getting the right people in the game. I don't know why #11 is getting most carries. #28 is by far the better tail back. #11 need to quit dancing and run straight ahead. There is no way Cookville would have stopped #28 on the goal line on the 2 point conversion. #28 showed a lot of heart on the few carries he got.
-
All you Cookville Cavaliers, JUST BRING IT!!!!!
-
I'm putting my money on Oakland. Pettit is the man!!! Oakland has all of their top 5 back this year and they finished 3rd last year. They they did survive their region which is probably the toughest in the state. Pettit, Provow, Primm, Swift, and Wilcox. This is the third year in a row for these boys. Third time is a charm.
-
I've thought for the last 3 years that is probably the toughest region in the state. Lincoln Co. and Franklin Co. has had some good players come through in the last few years. These Oakland boys have owned that region since they were sophmores. Pettit is just a Junior.
