6' 235 Offensive Tackle? You can't be serious. OT at the collegiate level?

6' 235 lbs....at what position? Was he a Rb or LB? What was his 40?

I know Perry Swindle, the now former coach at Russellville, his leaving is a pretty good sign of the future talent level in Russellville. Perry is "the Rankin of Alabama" in the success that he's had at every stop. The Hoover guys have eclipsed him, but I guess its time for him to take another stab at being topdog at a different place.

Will pack be in the running for this job? Would he want to leave Ensworth for an established program?

Lockerby is the guy. You guys have got a great coach.

Whats happened and who will replace at this program?

Can he recruit? I hope that is the question that Tech's AD asked himself repeatedly about every candidate. They key to winning at any level of college football is recruiting. I'm not so sure the last staff did a bang up job. I had some personal expereince with some of them recruiting some I coached...it wasn't handled well. Maybe I can't evaluate personell, but I didn't see a single team in the last decade that compared to some of the teams I was a part of there. The players weren't as big, fast or strong looking. Case in point. Tech passed on 2 playes at the school I was at. Those two players started as true freshman...on of them earned player of the year...Tech beat one of those teams, and didn't play the other. Perhaps Tech didn't have need at that position? Don't Know. Looking forward to some 4 and 5 wide offense. Watson Brown plus Sweeny seems to be the perfect fit at the perfect time? WOW. Lets hope he can recruit.

Not surprised by this, sort of expected it b/c I couldn't really find the words to say what I'm trying to say. Let me first state that it is an unfair, stereotypical generalization of "people from Williamson County", but the direct experience I had was with the rich and influential of the private school ilk. I am not one to buy into this stereotype, but I've been around Ravenwood, Brentwood, Franklin, MBA, BA, David Lipscomb etc... and I just keep coming away with the same feeling when they are on the opposite side of the win column. Does this mean they are all like that? Of course not...just an observation. Oh, and Page didn't give me that feeling at all.

I've had some dealings with some Williamson County fans before. They came to our place got shut out, but in a good close game. The "fans" sent a storm of letters and coacht posts etc.. complaining about unsafe bleachers, fireworks when we scored, questionable officiating, etc...it was really embarrassing banter...not a person ever credited the winning team...that had beat this team for the 1st and only time in school history... Perhaps its a symptom of being rich and influential...you feel like you must get your way or at least come out with some small victory in the face of defeat. Its a pattern I've seen out of Williamson county school supporters...Weird.

I'm no WIng-T coach or Wing-T lover, but the SE position in the Wing gets the majority of balls thrown. Lou Holtz once said "If they are better than you, then you better get off the bus throwing the ball". LaVergne doesn't outmatch anyone athletically to the point that they can run the ball 97% of the snaps (ie. Riverdale). The WIng and its companion formations of double slot and trips lends itself to a passing attack if nec....

White Co. and Tullahom are bonkers for not moving up. Gate from some of the schools they have to play has to be pathetic. There is no guarentee that they would join region 3. White Co. would probably be a lock, but Tullahoma might end up going with chatanooga or Williamson co. Either way, it would probably force a major alignment shift in middle tn. I also forgot that Mt Juliet will be coming up. That could push Region 4 to 9 teams without a change.

Its not about equal coverage...its accepting the fact that the richer and then closer areas to the Tennessean's office are going to get more coverage. Accept it and get over it.

Tennessean Media bias isn't just Williamson County: Here is the heirchy of coverage Private Schools in Williamson County Privates Schools in Metro Public SChools in Williamson County Publica Schools in Metro Riverdale now that Rankin is gone. Very simple why: Money. Circulation plays a part in who gets covered. Tennessean Coverage is at an alltime high. I like the expanded coverage and I'm happy that Tennessean recognized this need. I fully support there efforts, even though I know it means expanded coverage of the privates who have lots of money supporters.

So and So is a good athlete and Linebacker, I just wish he could tackle better b/c his missed tackles are causing them to lose games. Where does this fall? I didn't say he stunk, but it was critical.
