  1. I’m thinking a low score game favors Mt. Juliet. Especially at home. If it’s a high scoring game, I’ll take Hendersonville. Being that it’s at Mt.Juliet, I’ll take MJ in a 16-14 kind of game.
  2. Liberty Creek is scheduled to open in 22’. Beech will play in 6A for at least the next two years. That 22’ season they will lose about 4-600 kids. I guess the saving grace for Beech is they will have the 6A numbers next fall. I don’t think it will matter too much though, Crabtree is a very good coach. He’ll have them ready to play in every game.
  3. This is the new classification numbers released today. They were in the 6A numbers two weeks ago but not today. Everyone has until the 29th to declare if they are moving up. So I will wait until about 2 more weeks when they release the final numbers to see where teams get placed. If they stay at 5A it sure sets up some interesting playoff matches in the early rounds,
  4. Whitehaven has dropped to 5A. That’s huge if they stay.
  5. Will Whitehaven stay 5A? That’s a huge change if they do.
  6. Maybe I’m seeing things wrong but I don’t think Columbia makes it. Page goes to 2 region wins and has Franklin County next week. Columbia has losses to both teams . I’m seeing the matchup of Page/Franklin County winner gets 3 and loser gets 4. I guess if Columbia beat Shelbyville next week, they would get the 4 over Franklin County because they would have 2 region wins to 1, that is if FC loses to Page.
  7. Beech was given ticket access Monday. Check with the school. Gallatins tickets sold out before the season started. Not many available this year.
  8. Winners of regions 2 and 6 are home until the semifinals as long as they continue to win. Winners of regions 3-4, 7-8 quarterfinals host the semifinals. Good luck to all teams and let’s be extremely thankful that we have been allowed to play and get to watch these teams play this year.
  9. I am completely on board with you on this one. Even if it means one of those mid state regions is region 7. 30 teams in the mid-state.
  10. I thought the same thing but they currently already do. A 5 team and a 4 team making up regions 7 and 8. Who knows what they will do and who exactly has representation.
  11. Thank you for the reply. You cleared up my confusion nicely.
  12. Henry County fans, I have a question that I’m curious about and I’m merely looking for clarity. Not an accusative inquiry. Is the student population in the building 9-12 or is it 10-12? I seem to remember (correctly or incorrectly) that the school is only 10-12 and that’s the number that is turned in. Again, I’m not asking to start anything. I honestly am looking to get some clarity to your student body. I know there are some county schools in the state that are K-8 and then 9-12 and others have K-5, 6-8, 9-12. I myself am part of the first freshmen class to attend Gallatin in 1984. Until that time we had a separate building for our freshmen.
  13. I counted 9 current 5A teams moving up and about that many 6A moving down.
  14. Don’t beat me up over this but here’s my first look draft at 6A. 1. Science Hill Dobbyns Bennet Morristown W Morristown E Farragut Bearden Jefferson County 2. Bradley Central Cleveland Maryville Oak Ridge William Blount Hardin Valley 3. Riverdale Rockvale Stewart’s Creek Blackman Coffee County Shelbyville 4. Siegel Oakland Smyrna LaVergne Antioch Cane Ridge Warren County 5.Gallatin Beech Hville Lebanon Cookeville McGavock 6. Indy Summit Franklin Brentwood Ravenwood Centennial Overton 7. DC NE Clarksville West Creek Rossview 8. Germantown Houston Cordova White Station Arlington Bartlett Collierville Southwind Again this is merely my guess as to what I can gather from the current information. That and $5 will get you a happy meal at McDonald’s. Im not sure how but I missed Jefferson County and Southwind in my original post. Sorry about that.
  15. If the number is 50 which I counted as 300 public schools. I didn’t count private’s that play public or how many of the public’s don’t play football. If that 50 holds, I have 6A as Collierville at 2865 down to Morristown West at 1477. If your school is inside those numbers, you’re 6A.
  16. Like I was saying, just a heads up. Hope you guys have a safe trip. Like others have said, plenty of good eating around the square that’s not chain restaurants.
  17. I hope the HC fans realize there are no ticket sales at the game. Your school should have a GoFan account where 350 tickets were available. I wouldn’t want y’all to make that trip thinking you would be able to get a ticket at the gate. Our County is kind of sticking to this policy this year. Just a heads up.
  18. Gallatin’s non-region games were from 4-6A. We are a 5A school that played 6A teams as non-region.
  19. I would guess Republic. I thought they dropped football.
  20. That’s good for the kids. I hope they get things worked out.
  21. JV is what they will play this season. It has a lot to do with rising Sr’s staying. Plus the fact that they are opening during year two of the two year cycle. Plenty of JV games will get scheduled. When Station Camp opened almost 20 years ago, they had to do the same thing. It’s not uncommon. I will be interested to see if they get classified as 4, 5 or 6A for the 21’ season from their enrollment numbers this fall.
  22. They haven’t been placed in a football region. They will play all other sports in 9-AAA beginning fall of this year. They will be placed in a region in 21’ when the new classifications and regions are announced in November with September 1 enrollment numbers.
