This game will show one of two things. A. If Gordonsville is really a threat to make a deep run in 1A then I expect to see them pull this game out. (Even with injuries) B. If Watertown wins then to me that is an indication that they aren't as down as say Trousdale and I put them as still the favorite in that region. I'm going with a back and forth game and Gordonsville pulling the game out late.

Good luck to both teams tonight I pray it is an injury-free game that is full of competitiveness and sportsmanship. Regardless of the outcome tonight I hope these two teams get to play each other again in the playoffs.

Going to be a cool wet night on Main St, with a very wet field. The weather the rest of the week is not going to allow the field to dry any. The stat that sticks out to me is the strength of schedule. Clay Co has played nine games and their opponents have a combined 24 wins and 52 losses. Gordonsville has played nine games, I'm including the Covid with against Oliver Springs and their opponents have a combined 41 wins and 35 losses. Clay County has played one team this year that is currently .500 or better while Gordonsville has played five teams that are currently .500 or better.

DeKalb seem to have one of the better RB's that they have had in several years to go with that pass happy offense. I give the advantage to DeKalb in a close one.
