Just look at the roster in terms of numbers. Martin's team all had 55-70 players ...... since he left less than 40 in both years. I am guessing that Mote does not have the relationships with area middle schools that Martin did. So coaching at Goodpasture is more than X's and O's. And I do not think RP or LJ understand that. With Goodpasture being in the middle of Davidson County the Head Football needs to develop relationships with middle schools in Wilson, Sumner, Robertson, Cheatham, and Davidson Counties. I am not saying recruit kids from these schools, but when Goodpasture was rocking and rolling since the late 90's. They had kids from all these counties on their roster each year ... more players=more depth and in Class 2A that is huge when 90 percent of schools have starters going both ways.

Perry should not be getting a short list together.He needs to go. He is the President he needs to keep his hand out athletics that's why football is in the shape it is in, because he has to show he has power. The AD and Principle should should be making those decisions, but RP wants to tell his yes man LJ what to do. RP is too busy looking to hire friends and friends of friends than to get the right person for job.

Farmer would be a great choice, he played there and coached there, but I don't see him leaving the great situation he has at Ezell.

I have 3 points to make about Monday's Game 1. Look if you where at the same game I was at it was easy to see that DCA was the more physical team. I have seen DCA play a few times this year and that's how they play. They reach, hold, push, set illegal screens, and cause confusion. Ezell is more of a finesse team. So if the officiating crew lets DCA play phyiscal it plays into thier hands no matter the opponent. Especially when they are hitting from the outside like they were Monday. I have also seen about 30 other teams play this year and yes the officating has gotten inconsistent, but that wasn't the reason DCA won Monday. 2. DCA won the game because they played better. They bodied up on Gee, Teague and Jenkins and made the other Eagle players beat them. Great game plan by Coach Ramsey, also lets congratulate Coach Farmer on winning 20 games his first season. Ever since Coach Ramsey has been at DCA his teams play Ezell tough no matter the talent on either side. 3. The atmosphere was a great one for high school game, but some of the parents on both sides need to learn a lot about sportsmanship. Stop telling kids from the opposing team that they "suck" or "your terrible" parents are better than that and should know better. I know there was an incident in the Ezell crowd at the first game as well. This is a kids game and lets let the kids enjoy it.

Got one question I thought Clint Satterfield retired to become director of Trousdale County Schools? So why was he coaching in the press box with a headset on?

What the division II brackets in all regions ?

I am a non-faculty assistant looking for a football assistant position. I have coach for the 5 years at 3 middle tennesse high schools. The positions I worked with were RB, WR, DB, and K. I am in college an in the process of obtaining my teaching lincense

Well unless you are a private school you cant really got find a kicker. Trust me, if there was a capable kicker at the school he would have been kicking. JBS, like every other school in Robertson Co has gotten used too playing w/ the hand they are dealt..... Well I know plenty of public schools that have kickers ..... Trousdale County last year for example .. had an all-state and Mr. Football kicker and speaking of Robertson county school, I know that Greenbrier, East Robertson and WH- Heritage have kickers so its not a county thing its a coaching mentallity...... You can find and develop a kicker if you work on out .... having seen Jo Byrns practice a couple of times over the past 5-6 years ... they do not spend enough time on special teams in practice, and trust that will cost you games ...... I agree there are times to go for it on 4th inside the 20 .... but if you have a kicker you can win more close games ..... I can count the number of teams on one hand that have won a state championship without a kicker, not just kicking extra points and field goals, but kickoffs with field position

Jo Byrns here is a tip for your coach for next year .... go find a kicker .. that can make kicks inside 35 yards ... and can kick off instead your opponents having the ball at the 30 plus almost every possession .. plus when you get inside the 15 you can get 3 points in a close game when thats all you need

Just a reminder to all those Red Devil fans out there last time you guys were coming off a 1st round bye was 1993 and lose to Lake County 26-0 .. now granted that was 16 years ago ... but sometimes a bye is not a good thing .... if Jo Byrns does have some rust from the off it will be impairative for Perry County to jump on them and make them come from behind only been tested 2 times all season, but if Jo Byrns isnt rusty then the game will be over before halftime .....

What is the schedule for next year

i was fortunate enough to play in two of these games ...... Won the one we werent supposed to, and lost the one we were supposed to win ..... crazy things can happen in state championship games .... DL was supposed to repeat in 2003 and kid for huntingdon runs wild and hunt was 48-14, Germantown and Brentwood beat Riverdale back-to-back years 10-7, Friendship kid throws 6 picks and losses, White House upset Melrose in 97, and Brentwood Academy leading 13-0 over Marion County loses thier QB just before halftime and loses the game 28-26 on missed 2pt try with 3rd string QB. Jo Byrns will get an emotional boost from Bourne coming back, but the size and speed of Trousdale will give them problems. JB needs a low scoring game, but they need conver thier PAT(kicks), because the kicker from Trousdale has the advantage ...... No Prediction ..... I think this has all the making for the best game of the weekend

Have these two schools played each other before ? either before Jo Byrns was or when the schools were split in Ceder Hill and Adams ?

Just got word that the game will be broadcast live in the robertson county area on 1590 wdbl friday night ..... pregame will start around 6:45-6:50 ..... Tom Beasley will handle the play-by-play and I will handle the color commentary ...... obviously you greenbrier fans aren't whining and complaining about the officials after friday nights game because you finally won another game sitting in the stands I saw as both games were terribly officiated .... Now i also think that the game at greenbrier was officiated terribly, but it was terrible for both sides, and as was the girls game in the first half I have no clue what the officials did at half time but obviously they just decided to be a focal part of the game ..... the JBS said nothing to get a 2nd technical ... now i will agree that there are some awful refs and good refs .... all i ask is be consistent ....

is the Tournament full for 08 ... if not I might have a team that wants to come play ... let me know Limbaugh
