Wiggins has two small children and currently lives on the Notre Dame campus. Not where you want to raise a family. (no offense intended to anyone at ND). However, he's not interested in the Marion job due in part to the pay. John Allen is the coach at Silverdale. As others have mentioned he doesn't seem to last very long in any one place. There is no way Aikens leaves Ringgold. They are dropping in classification next year and he's got a strong pipe line of players coming. They are going to be really good for the next few years. Besides coaching in Georgia pays pretty well. I would say he probably makes at least 25,000 more per year that whoever the coach is at marion. I have no clue as to who Marion may hire but I think you can take these three guys off the list although they are all fine men and would do good things there. I spoke with a Marion alum tonight who compared the Marion program to Alabama. Bama spent years trying to find the next Bear and Marion is trying to find the next KC. 4 coaches in 11 years since KC left. Amazing. It sounds like the administration over there needs to give whoever the coach is some time rather than firing someone every 2-3 years.

I was not at the game last night so I won't make any comments on the officials. I did listen to it all on the radio and I have to say that the fourth quarter was some of the most intense football I've ever heard. I was a wreck at work pacing back and forth while listening. Very glad the bucs won!! I hope to make it to the final game against Tyner. Best of luck to the Indians the rest of the way, it sounds like you guys have your program headed in the right direction. This should be a great rivarly in years to come. Congrats to the Bucs on the win, I just hope we can find some pass defense next week against Cookeville.

I've been a fan of the Red Zone on Talk FM the past few years. Since Boyd Buc is now being carried live on 1370AM that is now my Friday night listening of choice if I can't get to the game. Hopefully, they'll add some sort of score update show. I've enjoyed Murphy Fair's show whenever I've been in the mid-state area on a Friday night.

as far as chattanooga goes, red bank, hixson, mccallie and baylor all have nice stadiums. finley stadium is excellent also. too bad it's empty every saturday when UTC plays. i'd like to see more high school games there. i saw Boyd play Cloudland and Baylor there over the last two years. very nice place. i really enjoyed it both times. Rural stadiums that I've been to: All three shcools in marion county have nice facilities. marion, south pittsburg and whitwell are very nice. i've heard good things about the stadium in dunlap but i haven't made it to a game up there yet.

Just bumping this one back to the top to see if anyone has any suggestions for me, for tonight. Looking forward to hearing some quality games tonight! I've got these programed into my radio 101.5 either Tullahoma vs Franklin Co or Coffee Co vs Siegel. 1340AM Tullahoma vs Franklin County. 105.5 Lincoln County vs Blackman. I should be able to catch the South Pittsburg pre-game and maybe the end of their game with Sweetwater on my way home. I'm going to check out the "Best Play-By-Play Announcers" thread to find out where the best announcers are.

I'd love to see the Bucs back in it and win it all this year. Don't count out Cloudland! The only way to get to Nashville this year will be through Roan Mountain. From what I heard from my friends from South Pittsburg after they played there a few years ago it's not a nice place to visit. Great atmosphere for high school football though. Best I've Seen: (I'm going off of teams I've seen from the last few years so if any of these teams have changed uni's please let me know.) Hixson - They kinda have the Steelers look to them Gatlinburg-Pittman - They used to look like the Greenbay Packers. I haven't seen them in action in maybe 10 years now, I'm not real sure what they look like these days. Red Bank - Good lookin' uni's. South Pittsburg - For a single A school they look great. The black jersey's and black pants are intimidating at home! Marion County - The uniforms look great but I wish they would do away with they scripted "Marion" on the side of the helmet. If you think purple is not intimidating you apparently never went to Jasper in the mid-90's. Sequatchie County - Got to agree with Sequatchie on this one. I love this look Worst I've Seen: Brainerd Howard Tyner - Great program but they look like a Junior High team from the early 80's! Boyd Buchanan - Now I'm a Boyd fan but those uni's are awful. Thank God we play better than we look most weeks!
