i would have to agree with AE in 03,i saw the film of their game with fulton AE had the better team has hard as it is to belive that someone was better than fulton ................... and in 02 i would have to say boyd-buch with their ot lost to cpa

Watertown takes the region this yr they would of been #2 last yr if it wasn't for 1 call of unsportsman like conduct on adam patterson this yr ,but the real tigers of the region this yr will come from watertown and the co mvps adam patterson,and dusty ray will be the only thing representing gordonsville this yr i also have to agree with it bein the sofest region along with region 1

1....Smith Co.....tough in regular season ,but will choke in playoffs like usual 2....L.A.........maybe #1 but if past repeats itself they will get off 2 a slow start 3......Portland....tough team lots of experienced and underated Qb maybe region mvp intead of wilmore 4......Macon Co....i know they lost alot but they have speed and speed kills they will be late bloomers that do better than epected in the playoffs of 04 5..trousdale co......not there year wait untill 05 and mybe you'll beback at the 1a level just dont see them hanging with the other 4 region 4-aaa the best football in Tn

Divepix, The question I wish someone would answered is the comment that Ezell coach made in the paper. He made the statement that they simple outwork other (public)school. If that is the case, I can"t remember him having more than a 4 win season while coaching at Greenbrier. Why didn"t he outwork all the other school then. I know that Greenbrier had more students to select from than Ezell. But, I also know that for the last two years Ezell could have won in 3A ball! :confused:

The word is that #25 is back and ready to run. His average per game has made a major jump. G-ville was touch with some injured on key player in wk.6,7,8, in the cascade game one of their good player was ejected in the 2 quarter, and miss the Friendship game also. They had some more players injured during that period. I think #33,#32,#18,#10,#11 was all spending time with the trainer during that time. But, word has it they are all healthy now.

Fan, They have a 6ft 4in.-200# quarterback that throws it everwhere. He from Califorina,( enought said) Right. Wrong! His father or uncle played for the big orange or Vandy. A number of teams can beat Friendship this year.Westmorland,Gordonsville,Watertown,and Hartsville. Talking about a fluke last year ,If the cf and rf of gordonsville wouldn't have collided on a routine flyball(giving fcs their only 2 runs of the game )G-ville would have won.just for example......oh well theirs always football

Here they are: 1a- G-ville-Collinwood in 2a Goodpasture-Sweetwater in 3a Smith Co. or Trousdale Co. vs Anderson Co. or Austin East in 4a Melrose-Maryville in 5a Riverdale-McMinn Co. Look for these teams in Murf. :confused:

Smith Co. and Trousdale Co. both have showed that their defense is on track in 3a. G-ville looks like their defense is in gear with three straight shutout in 1a.

T.T. Harper is one of the top receivers in 3a or any other class . He is one of the best open field runners you see after a catch.

Dusty Ray of G-ville was pretty impressive against S/C in a tough game for a soph. With being 6ft. or better with good and speed and hands, He has a great future ahead of him.

chosmule, How is Powell shoulder? I saw that he had his shoulder iced down at the end of the scrimmage. Is the back that got his bell rung alright?

old chs man , the monkey in jr. high did better with the seniors of 2001 than the monkey they got now. I think you need to keep your home boys at home. Coach Goosbly played under Rankin and coach the way that he had learn under Rankin. I guess you didn"t like Coach Rankin either!!

If I remember correctly coach Anderson was awarded the 2A coach of the year. And the follow year he was run off. If he is such a great deal for the middle school, shouldn"t he still be coaching at the high school?? And I still say mr. Goosbly has the best record in jr. high over a three year period as long as I can remember.

It"s seems to me that alot of you are glad that Mr. Goosbly is gone. I remember when he was head coach in jr. high we had some of best teams that Smith County had! He did a lot better than Gentry!

O chs man, I thought that goosbly was with the high school instead of the middle school and I thought Gentry was the jr. high coach. Which one are you saying good bye to??

I have heard alot about gordonsville being good this year and I have heard alot from smith co. people talking about killig them so I would like to know who is gonna be the big players for smith co and how good the owls are gonna be .......because i havent heard much about them
