This was another typical Cookeville- Oakland game. This game was decided in the last few seconds as some have been in the past. Great game played by both teams. Good luck to both teams the rest of the season. Should be another good one when they meet in a few weeks at Oakland.

For your information there were also all tournament awards given to 2 Brentwood Academy girls and 1 from Chester Co. Those trophies were given to there coaches before they left town. Not sure who the awards were given too but they had players as well that were recognized as all tournament. That game wasnt played due to the fact that Chester Co. went home before the bad weather hit.

Chester Co. and Westview both received calls from there administration to get home ASAP.

I am looking forward to this game. I have been reading post on here all week where the majority of the people give cookeville no chance. I am about tired of hearing that. Especially after I just watched FOX 17 sports and they were at Riverdales practice today talking to Rankin etc. and the last words from the broadcaster regarding the game was "DONT COUNT ON IT" meaning Cookeville has no chance. Yes, RIverdale has a great team and has proven there worth over the years but no one will know for sure until the game is over tomorrow night who will win and lose. Riverdale may very well win this game but never say never. On paper it appears that Riverdale should win this one but that is why the game is played. If Cookeville was to win everyone on here and in the Boro would collapse I do believe. If I remember correctly Cookeville was in the game with Riverdale last year till the 4th and had a chance Cookeville deserves to have the opportunity to play Riverdale and give it there best shot. You will never see Coach Joslin blame the refs for losing a game for his team. Also, the time that was put back on the clock at the end was correct cause there was a change in possession and the clock keeper must have had problems stopping the clock at that point. The last play continued because the whistle never blew on the field and you play until the whistle blows in football. Great Game by both teams last night and good luck to both the rest of the season.

I know that Cookeville is also 7-5 in the district with 2 games remaining with Siegel.
