Sometimes it is best to leave names out of message board talk...but I assure you the 400 game winner would have been a solid choice. Todd Wilmore contacted him twice but in the end chose to go with a local choice. The coach in question is in the hunt for a couple of jobs in the New Orleans area so yes he will find something but he had a strong interest in WC and liked the way Wilmore handled the entire process.

not sure you can blame todd wilmore. rumor has it he pushed for the coach who is living a couple of counties away. i think he was "influenced" to hire locally. the last few coaches were not local so the board wanted to keep it close. guess you can't blame them. from what i know about todd he is a good guy.

any news or names?

they haven't had much success in the last few years and lack of success breeds dissent. guy that went to lebanon a few years ago was in the process of turning things around. forget that coach's name but he was moving them in the right direction. i know for a fact the afforementioned coach was called...lets see what they do.he could be a great hire for them. just not sure wc wants to make a committment to someone like him.

no offense galilee but that guy has no business being around children.none at all.i admire your coach. tough situation at mitchell but coaches like mr phillips just make the entire school and community better. he is in it for all the right reasons and the fact that his son is at mitchell says a whole lot.

not sure wtn coaches are that superior it is just that they have to compete against memphis teams and they know they have to step their games up in the summer. i dont consider memphis wtn...they are a region of their own. best coaches are in mtn no doubt. competiton is pretty weak in chatt area as well.

this coach is a rural mississippi guy...not a traditional memphis coach...and you could see that in the way they played and behaved. very deserving win for them.

it is almost non existant...i'll be interested to see who whites creek hires...

well they do have an assistant coach but he would not be someone they would turn to i don't think. he is a football assistant. yes i think it would be a really good place just not sure about the committment to roundball.

they dont have an assistant coach there. they have a ms coach they are high on so he might very well get the job. fact is carthage hasnt been relevant in boys bb in well over 20 years. i expect that trend to continue.

this should not be close...but hogeye's discipline and coaching will make it a ballgame...

would someone in that area please tell me when they are going to attempt to move into the 21st century in basketball. that gym is gorgeous. so put some semblence of a team in it. i know it is a football school but with all those athletes at least they can find 5 basketball players and a coach.

As a long time poster on this site, Eddie knows what he posts. Getting a fellowship at Michigan State is prestigious. It is understandable her accepting the honor. Players on her team should feel very honored she accepted the honor. Now lets get on to the task at hand like LHS has done with the last two coaches and find a highly regarded coach like the past two. the next coach should be an LHS alumn or somebody from the area ice...other than bud at wc and bradshaw now at watertown i don't think there are any other LHS grads still in coaching.
