Iheard Jim Swafford from SOuth Doyle was the front runner for the job. I know that hw was at teh game against Anderson COunty scouting out his next team. THe deal should be final in couple of days with him set to take over at the beginning of 2nd semester.

How about a return of Jim Swafford to McMinnville. I know that he once coached there and he was just recently fired from his coaching post in Knoxville. I think he has some experince with the Pioneers and would be a great hire.

Coach Swafford was offically released from his head coaching duties at South Doyle @ 3:30 this afternoon. He also is no longer teaching there.

South Doyle - great chance at going deep into the playoffs in 5A. I look for a South Doyle vs. Oak Ridge in state semi's.

South Doyle will have to be focused but should come out on top. Alcoa's team speed is a concern, they are young but they do have a year's experience under their belt. Depth will be a concern for both teams as the heat takes a toll on both teams as the game wears on The X-Factor will be coaching. Alcoa's coach first game, kids will want to play hard for their new coach. South Doyle and their embattled coach - do they play hard for him or do they look forward to the expected coaching change.

South Doyle will be the class of Region 1 5A. From what I've heard their defense hasn't allowed a TD all fall. They have played Fulton. Oak Ridge, and Sequatchie County. They are the sleeper pick - we are going to the playoffs and making some noise. Go Cherokees!

I heard a rumor that South Doyle football coach Jim Swafford was politely told that this year will be his last and that he needs to start finding another job? Was this the reason Clark Duncan was brought in? I personally think Jim is a great football coach and that he needs to be treated better and with more respect. I so however agree that alot of the problems that he has are created by him and could be controlled by him. What does everybody think about Jim Swafford and his new boss Clark Duncan?

Who are the frontrunners? Is it the assistant from Farragut that teaches at Bearden or is it the long time Bearden assistant coach? Is it former college baseball coach Mark Blevins or do they go a whole different route? Should be interesting and I think that their booster club plays a huge role in this decision. I know that they have major financial problems, but a ton of potential.

Rumor has it that they are interviewing a boy's coach from East Tennessee. I heard this guy is an outsider and very impressive. I can't remember the name but I am sure that he is interviewing.

that most coaches are staying a way from this job b/c it is a done deal with JD Lambert getting the job. Is this true?

Chad Smith from South Doyle has to be a player in any open job in Knox County. I know Sevier County has contacted him and he supposedly said "no thanks." Central should make contact with him and try to hore him. They would be really good in a hurry.

South Doyle High School now has an opening for head girls basketball coach. Sade Buley is returning for her senior year, this is a good job that has a ton of potential. 4 starters return and you have a solid middle school program. A set of twins are going to be freshman that can play. This is a great opportunity.

This thing has been really quite. Anybody got any INFORMATION? I know that they are receiving applications till Friday. ANybody know who all is interested? Are they going to interview or just hire the assistant? Is it a good job?

What is going on? Is the candidate in house or are they looking outside? I notice on the school systems web site has no notice of looking for a coach. I hope this means that they are taking this serious. Any rumors or anythin gon the search.

Coaches - we put you in an age bracket that best fits you, we do not check ages or require cards. We open this to all AAU teams and spring school teams, so that is why we break it down into ages and grades. My experience is that most 13 and 14 yr olds, could play together. We make it the way you want it. If you want to just play 13 yrs old, then that is how your schedule is made. We work we each team individually to make sure that they get the best experience possible. Remember this is a playday, not a tournament. Use it to get ready for your tournament play.

South Doyle High School Men's Basketball will be hosting their 2nd Annual AAU Playday on April 4, 5, and 6, 2003. Entry cost - $115, with a 3 game guarantee, with qualified officials. Last year we had over 30 teams participating. Great competition at all levels. Hey Gov Man - what happened last night? Is Lsfoy playing still, haven't seen him in the box. I agree that they should really flourish at the district @ home. Who does Coach Baumann want to face in that 1st game - South Doyle or Heritage? or does really matter, they should beat wither one very easiely correct?
