  1. This really makes me glad to be in Region 4. For the mostpart I think we play out the rivalries on the field and pull for each other when the playoffs come around.
  2. Mercy I never thought I'd say this but this thread is making me long to hear Dandy sing next week. /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
  3. Play for your pride, DeKalb. Senior night should be your biggest night. This game will be the prelude to what DeKalb will bring to the region next year. Forget what your record is, forget what has gone before and play like it's the last football game you will ever play. This is your field, your game so finish BIG. Go out and TAKE it, DCHS.
  4. I was pretty surprised at Station Camp's strong defense. They don't just stop an offense, they put them on the ground. Moore is as fast and elusive as they come, and even though Payne and Dixon may be fast, Camp has defense that flocks to the ball and they can run down a reciever. I may be wrong about this game, but I don't think so. It don't matter to me one way or another. Right now all I'm thinking all I want is what another post said--for Region 4 represent by taking the four best teams to the playoffs and I am glad the Bison and Blue Devils are in the mix. Hopefully Greenbrier will at least be the caboose.
  5. Station Camp is good. White House is at home. Bison better load those semi's with fans to counteract the noise the Devils make. This one could go down to the wire but the the Bison will end it at 21-17. Johnson is much better than Greenwade and that will make a difference. Good luck to both sides.
  6. Good luck to Greenbrier this Friday night. Just play with the intensity of the PJP game, the momentum of the Cheatham game, and the determination of the Pearl Cohn game and you will be unstoppable. Go GREENBRIER
  7. But aren't you forgetting that they LOST to ALL those teams?
  8. Just to provoke thought, IF your own school does not win the Region, who would you like to see win within your Regional play? Again, DO NOT choose your own team, no matter how good they are...and only choose a team in your region. Go.
  9. Work will prevent me from being there, but this should be a good game. Did I read on the DL/Goodpasture post that there were some injuries that night?
  10. Way to go Cats. What a great run and great season. It has been a pleasure to watch you boys play. Good luck in the future! Maybe Coachhard or another poster could answer you better. I am not sure about these particular boys' plans, but I know personally that we have many recent Greenbrier football players on college teams from Austin Peay, Tennessee Tech, Lambuth, Cumberland University, UT-Martin, etc. The Greenbrier coaches encourage GHS graduates to pursue their goals and to do their best, on and off the field.
  11. After gettinig the Robertson County Times today to read the sports and noticed what an accomplishment has occured in this little "country" county of Robertson County. Out of the only five Robertson County high schools, three of them won their region title. Kudos to the Greenbrier Bobcats, East Robertson Indians, and Jo Byrns Red Devils. That is pretty cool. To not single out one team, I thought I'd just post the link that Josh Wilkins, the RCTimes sports editor article. It's a little evident, he enjoys his job. Good luck Robt. Co. schools on your home playoff rounds. http://www.rctimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/artic.../311020104/1305
  12. Way to go Greenbrier! Being away was harder than most times last night. I wanted to be there but couldn't because of work, but I got updates at the end of each quarter. Can't wait to get home and see the replay. Keep up the good work! Be all that you can be!
  13. Due to work travel, I hate it that I can't be at this game. I have to hear updates by phone and have been reading the online news. I am envious of each and every one of you that gets to sit in the stands tonight. It has been my pleasure to get to watch the Bobcats play this season. Troy, Justin, Kyle, Dale and all the rest of the Cats have been amazing to watch and need to just get out there and finish this season off big. I believe you can do it. I can't wait to hear the updates. Keep this thing rolling. Go Bobcats! P.S. Hit em, #55! My prediction: Greenbrier 20 White House 14
  14. Bobcat56, the italized and non-bold info below is a quote from FatCat from the other day: Bold is from me: C. In the event of a tie for the region winner, runner-up, third-place, or fourth-place team, if either team(s) has defeated the other(s) in regular-season play, the team(s) shall be rated above the other(s) in the standings. (After the region winner has been determined, the tie-breaker procedure shall begin all over again starting at the top to work out the runner-up position. The procedure shall be repeated to determine the third- and fourth-place teams.) D. The following tie-breaking procedures shall be applied and all regular-season games, both region and non-region, shall count (After each of the following steps have been applied, item C above shall be applied.): 1. The team with the greatest number of victories. 2. The team who has the greatest number of victories over teams winning 50 percent or more of their games. 3. The team whose opponents have earned the most victories. 4. The team whose opponents have received fewer defeats. 5. The team who has the greatest number of victories over teams in its own class. 6. Ten yardline overtime procedure at neutral site Monday night at 7:30 P.M. So, according to this, it does matter who Greenbrier loses to. If Greenbrier beats Macon and loses to White House, then Pearl Cohn would be region champs based on team with the most victories (Step 1 in Part D). Then, the tie-breaking procedure starts over again at step C (notice the part in bold and underlined above in Part D). Then, White House finishes 2nd due to the head-to-head over Greenbrier according to rule C. Greenbrier MUST beat White House to win the region championship or to even have a home playoff game! Losing to Macon would mean the difference between a #3 seed and a #4 seed unless they beat White House. Bottom line is that there are still TOO MANY scenarios left to figure it all out. The Bobcats have to just take 'em "one game at a time" and keep on winning! The Cats are OH SO close. Let's GO Bobcats!
  15. Don't be so sure, this year. You White House fans may want to start looking through your "blues" collection....
  16. The Bobcats seem to have come into their own. They seem to be only getting stronger. White House seems back on track, but comparing White House's loss to Pearl Cohn and Greenbrier's shutout at Pearl Cohn, I feel that not only they are growinig in strength, but in confidence. Who knows? This could be the year. We'll see next week. Good luck to both teams.
  17. I hate that I couldn't be there to see Greenbrier win over Sycamore. I checked in during the game by cell, and was pleased to hear the end results be a second shutout in as many weeks. The Bobcats need to get mentally up for this game as well as emotionally pumped. Pearl Cohn need not have a mental edge over the Greenbrier just because of their reported size or speed. Greenbrier IS a powerhouse team and the Bobcat teams need to put on that mentality and wear it. No overconfidence but definitely no underconfidence. Know what you have already accomplished. Don't lay down the next three weeks, and finish the season bigtime. You boys are making the legacy happen. Keep it up! My best to the Green Machine.
  18. I am writing my for my husband, "HoosierDaddy", who is having open heart surgery tomorrow and won't be able to be at the Whitehouse-Greenbrier game tomorrow night. He has four requests, and one of them is that his boys get away from waiting around at the hospital and go to the game. He has been very disappointed that he won't be able to be at this game and he has told me for two days that after seeing the Beech and Creekwood games he has a GREAT "feeling" about tomorrow night for the Greenbrier team. He believes this team can do anything it sets its mind to, and he wishes the Greenbrier Bobcats the best of luck in the game tomorrow night. The second request is Greenbrier and he want this streak to end. He really wanted to be there to see Christopher rack up the points with those kicks. Although he will be very groggy by game's end tomorrow night, he has requested for us to try to wake him to be told the final score. Let's go Bobcats and make him a happy man! And the fourth request. Please make a good copy of it for the community channel. He and I will look forward to watching the game during his recovery. Good luck Greenbrier. We all believe in you guys.
  19. And even though unfair, that, my friend, will be the only reason.
  20. not good? exactly how do you get over 2000 yds in rushing unless the other teams forgot to put their defense on the field? Or are you saying all those teams defense was no good? Which is it? (And he's not done yet. )
  21. I believe #16 Roger Herndon from Greenbrier will take it home. He has led his team to the semifinals this year and he has over 2000 yds rushing, and is no. 2 midstate scorer. If he doesn't get it, it will only be because he is a junior and will back next year to rack em' up again.
