    a peom

    What is a PEOM? Duuuhhhhh......
  2. 44, I was feeling bad until I saw RobJim's post! Whew!!
  3. Do they teach you spelling, puctuation, or what a run-on sentence is at Seymour? Your posts are hard to read with all that slop. "reck", "concusion", "freshmen" in the singular context?
  4. The Southerners do not have the talent we had last year. Walland beat us 4-1 in a scrimmage last night. They are the best I have seen them. We were very flat. I think our kids were kind of shell shocked by Walland's aggressiveness and never recovered. Our nines are really good. We will be decent. We should make it to the Super Bowl. GO REBELS!!!!!
  5. AE, I assure you GQ is preaching that exact message to the Rebels. They will be ready for Carter. Hey Stars and MLREB, Have you ever noticed how many goats are up on Nebo? You don't suppose.....??? GO REBELS!!!!!
  6. There haven't been many D-1s from Alcoa. Maryville recruited most of them. Right SillyGoat?
  7. AAAAHHHHH!!!! You know it is football time in Maryville when the likes of B-goat, J-Paul, and B-Morgan begin their posting nonsense. You know you are not dealing with much mental capacity when they say 4-6 teams will beat Maryville, recruiting comments, etc. It has to be embarrassing for them when their rediculous comments don't come true. Surely they know we consider their comments good comedy. GO REBELS!!!!!
  8. They got beat by a large margin in the championship game. They played Ft. Sooy No Limit from Illinois. Congratulations guys on a great run
  9. This thread is "greatest coaches of all time". What is the definition of that? Won/loss records? State Championship games? Years of tenure? I would define it as the one who had the most positive influence on a young man's life. ClemsonDad mentioned the Alcoa Coaches and I played for two on his list, but in my humble opinion he left the greatest coach I ever had off. He coached with Dan Webb and then Head Coach Bill Cochran. That would be Steve Fugate. Coach Fugate is my most fond memory of my High School days and I see him around town today and get just as thrilled as I did 27 years ago. It was 1976 and we were playing Cleveland in the last game of the season for a region birth. We had to win to advance. We threw a screen pass that had been very successful for us all season. The problem was that we normally ran it with our fullback Barry Lail and for some reason our tailback Greg Osborne was the receiver. Not being used to running it with us Greg was in front of us pulling linemen. We always looked behind us for the receiver to hold the formation tight when he caught the ball. The pass had to be in front of us so as I turned to look for the back the ball was right there in my hands and without thinking I caught it. I ran that ball for about sixty yards to the one yard line. I was 73 and Lail was 33 so alot of people thought it was Barry who had just broken several tackles for a huge play. It even took the officials some time to figure out what happened and of course called the play back on an ineligible receiver call. Coach Cochran jerked me out of the game and gave me a well deserved butt-chewing that I will never forget. As I fought off the tears I walked down and stood by my coach Fugate. After standing in silence for a moment he bumped me in the side and leaned down to say" That was a heckuva run!" Saying that to me took away alot of the pain as we went on to lose that game 38-37 in triple overtime by a miss-snapped extra-point attempt. "That was a heckuva run!" He was a heckuva coach! Sorry for the length of the post but that is my favorite story.
  10. Wed; 30 July 03, 1230 ET The Eagles are in the final four of the Championship Tournament. They finished #1 out of pool play and have advanced deep into the tournament. The semi-final game is over but I can't reach Andy for a report. The Championship Game starts at 1330 ET. I just got word that the East Coast Eagles won the semi-final game by one in a nail-biter. They advance to the finals @ 1030 PT/1330 ET. Th; 31 July 03, 1450 ET They got beat by a large margin in the championship by Ft. Sooy No Limit form Illinois. Great run guys. Congratulations on 2nd place.
  11. The East Coast Eagles are 2-0 in pool play and play tonight @ 6:10 pacific to win top seed in the pool. They have beaten "Salt Lake Metro (Utah)" and "Dallas Hoops Elite". They play "North County Basketball Academy (CA)" tonight. We are 12 points up on them. They are 1-1 in pool play.
  12. Andy Tipton (Maryville) and Tevah Morris (Clinton) of the Tennessee Breakers are in Roanoke, VA practicing with The East Coast Eagles. They drove up yesterday and are practicing last night and tonight. They leave there tomorrow morning for Las Vegas to play in the "18th Annual Las Vegas Summer Basketball Classic" July 26th-30th. Coach Allman called to invite them after they returned from Morgantown, WV. It is my understanding that there will be 400-500 college coaches there prospecting. I talked to Andy this morning and he said his ankle feels as good as new after his first real test last night. Good luck to Andy and Tevah. Represent Tennessee proud. http://www.visionsports.com/
  13. How seriously is Pickel hurt? He left us (Tn. Breakers) after Indy to come to the camp. I hate that he didn't get to play it through.
  14. I don't understand how six players that are only rated by Gomab as DIII or NAIA prospects could make it to the Hoosier championship game (which they only lost by 3)? The Breakers then went to the West Virginia Jam-Fest and went 2 and 1 only to get beat by the East Coast Eagles. The Breakers, with only 5 players, (Pikell went home to another commitment and Tipton had a severe ankle sprain) were ahead of them by 12 half way through the second half (they don't play quarters) when the Eagles had to press and sub in fresh legs to wear the Breakers down. I don't care about the "self proclaimed expert's" individual ratings. I know that there are five kids from the Breakers that showed more heart and determination than I have ever witnessed. What they did in those tournaments was inspiring. Way to go Zack, Zack, Tevah, A.J., and Tyler.
  15. The following teams are going to the 17U "Hoosier Shootout"in Indianapolis next week: Breakers Ballerz Thunder Travelers The Breakers are leaving from there to play in Morgantown, West VA. Is any one else going? I am not sure what they are calling it. It was a Charlie Weber tournament last year. I heard that he had NCAA problems this year and did not get to host it. Does any one know their web site? What are your thoughts on these tournaments?
  16. Go get'em girls. REBELS ROCK!!!!
  17. What are the dates and venue for play in 17U?

  19. Congratulations Lee! You are a true testimony to what hard work and commitment will bring. Thank you for letting us enjoy your success with you. Good luck at Florida and I assure you when you come to Thompson-Boling, I will be there wearing my Gator hat and doing the "chomp". BJT GO REBELS!!!!!
  20. rimjob, I heard the Military product sold for $1268.oo per case, was one-ply, and didn't even have a cardboard roller. What's up with that?
  21. His t.p. has only been used once and on just one side.
  22. You know rimjob, you have really insulted me with this thread. I happen to be a used car salesman from Maryville! There is an old saying, "Would you tell one to sell one?" GO REBELS!!!!!
  23. MyCubs, You act like you know something about basketball. How many times have you seen Lee play. If you are judging him on the Greenville game alone, you are up for a surprise. Words are hard to swollow. Be careful about how smart you think you are. GO GATORS!!!! CHOMP, CHOMP!!!!!
  24. GovMan, That is exactly what Maryville did. Maryville jumped on them and never looked back. Bearden came out ot start the second half with their hands on their knees and a look of despair. They have alot of heart and a mission, but just could not match up to Maryville physically. This was probably Maryville's best team play of the season. They were hitting on all cylanders. You can tell that by the scoring stats. Tipton 17 Houser 14 Gaskin 13 Humphrey 12 Stout 12 Eppolito 5 Burchield 3 Lambert 2 GO REBELS!!!!! [Edited by Rebelsman on 3-8-03 7:49A]
