I know he is not a goat. A goat can spell better than that.

MLREB, I believe old JohnPaul hit a nerve there didn't he? I've never seen you chime in so quickly. Hats off to the Maryville feeder programs. Go L'il Reb's! Go Southerners! Go Rebs! Go Bulldogs! GO RED REBELS!!!!!

Goldenboy, If you tossed the coin in three games, how did you go 2-0. Did you tie one time? LOL Helmets definitely off.

Sheeeezzzzz..........Louise............... Y'all are making my head hurt!

Way to go billmorgan. For your info, ClemsonDad's son earned a scholarship to Clemson but his career was ended by a terrific knee injury. So, go ahead and make fun of him and show what a true dumba** jerk you are.

JP, I see you finally talked them into giving you your old job back. Congratulations! I know it must be thrilling for the parents to have such a fountain of spirit and optimism leading their youth.

sdfan, Do they teach capitalization, punctuation, spelling and run on sentences at Soddy Daisy? Your posts are very hard to read and understand.

I think his wrestling tights have cut off the circulation to his brain. I mean all that elastic is in the right vicinity of his brain. Isn't he the one in the cowboy hat? GO REBELS!!!!!

Jamie is about fifteen years younger than Jack and I. Sam is two years younger. Mark was my age. Mark, Barry and I ran pretty close together.

WOW, Did anybody get the number off of that truck?

I talked to Chris last week and he has a pretty serious pulled hamstring. He was hoping to be back this week but the way he talked, I didn't believe he would. That old hammy just has to take it's own time to heal. He sure doesn't need to take a chance on pulling it again. I was told by one of the starters last night that neither player would play tonight. If Maryville can contain the corners (which should be their strongest suit) they will win by three touchdowns. Just don't let those Alcoa backs get into the open field. Alcoa does not have the depth or experience to "bang heads" with Maryville. Their only chance is with big plays or special teams.
-
From what I understand you will be without Byner and McCord. Maryville has too much depth. I say they win by three touchdowns without them.

Right class, wrong playa. I went out with him alot too.

What happened to Pancho the Bull's head???? He looks more "Pancho the Little Green Martian Man" from the Bugs Bunny cartoons!!
-
JW, There's no way you can let him quit.....he hasn't even got to go to a frat party where the little sisters have a wet t-shirt contest. All of the true social experiences of college life lie before him.....make sure he does not spend too much time on academics as anything over a 2.0 gpa is a total waste of party time... If you would like me to counsel him, I would be glad to help...just have him pm me. He has to be convinced what a great experience college is.....it was the best eight years of my life.... Rebelsman

Speaking of rivalry. I am probably throwing myself to the dogs (or possibly some other domesticated animal that resides in these parts). However, what do you do when your wife went to Maryville your wife taught at Maryville, your kids go to Maryville, you attend all Maryville games, but YOU went to, and played at ALCOA?? I guess I will stand in the end zone exactly under the center of the uprights and cheer for both sides. I mean, it is terribly frustrating because deep down you can't turn your back on your alma mater. Some of my old Alcoa buddies have called me a traitor for years. The Maryville people don't accept me 100% because I am not a "true" Maryvillian. (You see them whisper behind their hand, "HEEE went to Alcoa!") Just the other day STARSNBARS congratulated all of the Maryville posters by name for their comments on the Carter game..... but did he mention the old Rebelsman who also had posted in that thread? NOOOOO... I just don't know what to do!! Well, anywaaayyyy....... GO REB.... er GO TORNA...... AAAWWW SHOOT.......I think I'll just stay home and watch Jerry Springer re-runs.

Coach Carroll of Gibbs High School in Knoxville is currently serving a three game suspension for getting angry after a pre-season scrimmage. He alledgedly cursed and threw a dry-erase marker against the board. The marker lid came off and hit two players (I am sure causing great physical pain and causing mental stress that only years of therapy will ever render). The kid's parents make a big issue out of it and Coach ends up in the stands for three weeks. What happened to the days when complaining to parents about something like that would have brought down a wrath of whoop-butt that would leave you standing for days? I thought football helped us make men out of boys. Being tough is one of the many life lessons learned in football. I have a senior basketball player. If he ever complained of something like that I would tell him to grow up. Perhaps the parents of these kids should enter them in a less emotional activity such as piano or art.

I also have reservations about a two quarterback system. However, what impressed me last night was the fact that Cade and Alex are both on the field when they change. It should be fairly easy to defend from a surprise standpoint. If Alex went under, you knew the option was coming. I don't remember seeing him hit the pitch man a single time. Not that he needed to. He gained good yardage every time he came down the line. Cade's arm is awesome. I think my boy Tyler Gaskin should get more looks. If you throw it in the same zip code, he will come down with it. He has the best hands on the team. The line play was even weaker than I expected. Not only did we get whipped here and there, we also missed assignments. If anybody can get them going it's Coach Ellis. Valentine did look good at backer and should do nothing but improve now that he has tasted blood. Harrington did not look like the blood thirsty linebacker I am used to seeing at Maryville. Maybe that was first game jitters? Hannan and Parnell were o.k.

You all ain't right!!! GO REBELS!!!!!

The namesake of the stadium and long time mayor of Maryville, Stanley B. "Skeeter" Shields was the best announcer to call a game. He could mispronounce the simplest name. Stuttering and stammering were his strong suits. I sure do miss hearing his voice over the PA system. God rest his soul. GO REBELS!!!!!
-
I hope they do a better job of hotdog management at "The Skeeter" this year. I usually don't get my pre-game butterflys settled until half time. I then watch "the band". Then it is suppertime. Last year they ran out of hotdogs at half time during several games. I have reserved seats, maybe I could get "reserved hotdogs", yeah, thats the ticket, reserved hotdogs with chili and must.......... GO REBELS!!!!!

I can't do that with you, you're my cousin!

44, I was feeling bad until I saw RobJim's post! Whew!!

Do they teach you spelling, puctuation, or what a run-on sentence is at Seymour? Your posts are hard to read with all that slop. "reck", "concusion", "freshmen" in the singular context?
