I always dreamed of being a kicker. So just being outside in the backyard practicing, i found i was much better kicking barefooted. I think kickers should be allowed to kick barefooted if they want to, but i guess it probably comes down to a liability issue.

Its amazing, and team can make the final four for 5 straight years, but they never really seem to "deserve" to be there.

One, is to make money. Back before expansion, there were several good teams that didn;t make the playoffs, which could set up for an intriguing game, with a good amount of fan support. Which means money. But now that it has been harder to find quality teams that don;t make the playoffs, you see fewer bowl games across the state.

I know here in Tullahoma there is the Lions Bowl. It used to be a game between 2 varsity teams. But since the expansion of classifications it became hard to find 2 teams with a winning record that weren't to far away. So now there is a two freshman games on that night.

Wingman i can assure you that Barnes will not see any playing time next week. Mitchell will most likely start and i am sure Layton will see a few series. If Tullahoma is forced to throw the ball around you will probably see more of Layton. Mitchell did a good job of leading the team up and down the field. Not much throwing was done, which is rare for a tullahoma team. I think Mitchell had one completion on 3 attempts. But it was for a big 1st down. And Layton i think was 1 of 2. The offensive and defensive lines are what won this game for tullahoma. After the first quarter, Tullahoma dominated up front and in turn dominated the football game. Tullahoma's kicking game looked like it has in past years last night. With a 46 yard field goal and kickoffs into the endzone. George has started to show that he can play at the varsity level. At the start of the year he was tentative, but that is expected from a sophomore. He has now had 2 back to back solid games. This defense has improved over the past 3 or 4 weeks. No one has really been able to run up the middle on them all year. They have run around the ends. Now they are starting to slow that down. They are playing alot of sophomores and juniors. They are up against the wall next week as the play the best team they have played yet.

My only question here is, why is COffee County dropping down 2 classifications to play a team? Is this a rivalry. I can see dropping down 1 class but not 2.

maybe this loss will bring the Coffee County fans back down to reality. Coffee is much improved, but as i said they weren't as good as they thought they were... They are gonna end up in 3rd in the region and make their 2nd playoff birth.

Your right, my team has already been beat by Coffee County. I also picked Coffee County to win that game. But they weren't as impressive as i was expecting. And all i have said is they aren't as good as they think they are, and as the season goes on it will be evident. I know this is the best COffee COunty team since 98, and you have every right to be excited about it. But from what i have seen, this team will finish 3rd in the region and make their second ever playoff appearance. So if i am being immature for stating my opinion, then i am immature. But let the season play out and i think i will be right.

I don't know how good CUmberland County is, so i really can't tell you how this game is gonna wind up. But i can tell you that Coffee County is not as good as they believe they are. This will become evident as they get into the tougher part of their schedule.

Is he not having surgery here coming up in October.

Good game. One Tullahoma should have won, but they didn't make the plays. I don't believe Coffee County is as good as they believe they are. They start to get to the strength of their schedule here soon and we will find out how good they are.

As much as I hate to say it, i believe COffee County is gonna win this game.

questionable offciating....what game were you watching. friday night the officiating wasn't very good, but it went both ways. saturday i thought the offcials did a good job. white county relied on the big play, and they got several of them to win by 1 with around 2 minutes left

White County has gotten alot better. They had three athletes better than anyone tullahoma had. Tullahoma's defense is slow. WHite County was able to get around the corner when ever they wanted. They ran sweeps and screens and Tullahoma could do nothing. It didn;t help either that Tullahoma was prolly missing 2 of its best defensive players. But i don;t think that would have mattered that much Saturday night. Offensively tullahoma couldn;t catch the ball, when they had time to get the pass off. They were able to run the ball some. I think the QB had over 150 yards. White County i was impressed with number 42, 7, and 22. Tullahoma Joe Spence inpressed me with his running ability. He has added some speed.

the administration did not want to finish the game last night. Tullahoma just put in a new 65,000 dollar field, and they didn;t want to mess it up the very first time it was played on. the tullahoma coaches wanted to play, their administration said no. White County wanted to play in week 6. Tullahoma did not because they don;t have school at that time, and there are many on the football team that have vacation planned. If they played then, how many tullahoma players are not going to be there to play. Another option was to play it the monday after week 10, if their were playoff implications. If you were tullahoma, would you want to do that. Cause the Friday before you play Hillsboro. You come back 3 days later and finish a game. And then 4 days later you are either gonna play a 1 or 2 seed. Now if your tullahoma and you have a chance for the playoffs, do you want to do that. NO. White County said no to Sunday afternoon, which is understandable. Ten it come back to playing today. Dicky did not want to travel back here tonight. And he was perfectly willing to let the game go to a no contest. And since not playing this game could effect the playoffs tullahoma had to do something. So they are gonna go up there and finish it tonight. They get a different offciating crew. They get a group from the Lebanon association. They lose homefield, but they really had no other option.

well i have played on both Tullahoma's and Franklin County....they were both nice to look at, but not near as good to play on. [Edited by festor on 4-17-03 3:06A]

When Kenny Griffin has his curve ball working, very few hitters will be able to hit him. WKU is going to get a good one. He needs to strengthen his legs some. He is still growing to. He is also a young senior. By age he should be a Junior.
