  1. Where are all the purple and gold faithful? It's Friday and nobody is talking football! What's up with that?????? TC takes a little trip across the border tonight and I feel like they will come home with a win. I sure hope the boys have more support tonight in T'ville than they have on this thread. GO JACKETS!!!!!! IT'S FOOTBALL TIME IN TC!!!!!
  2. Also, don't forget about Clint's father, Jim Satterfield. Clint had an excellent teacher
  3. After seeing Wilmore play last Friday, I'll have to agree that he will be one of the top players in the state next year if he continues to have blockers to help him. He is an outstanding athlete.
  4. Smith Co. - Macon Co. will definitely be a good game. This TC fan was at the Smith Co. - Portland game last Friday and thoroughly enjoyed it. I know both teams are on a mission and both want the win badly. I've already told Coach Dyer's wife that I do not envy her this week at all. She's got hte toughest job of all this week. Best of luck to both and whichever makes the trip to east Tennessee next week, watch out!!! Austin-East and Fulton both have excellent programs and will be tough for either. You can be sure that the crowd will be full of TC fans Friday in Macon Co. Some of us will be pulling for the Tigers and some others for the Owls. As I said in another thread, I hope all region fans can put aside any differences and support the region team that does make it to Knoxville next week. I'd love to see our region represented in the championship and will be there if that happens. See you all in Macon EARLY Friday night.
  5. I totally agree. I wish Smith Co., Macon Co., and Portland victories this week. Now next week is a different story. If the Jackets were to lose somewhere during the playoffs, I would be rooting for whoever was left from our region. I also agree!!!!! Region 4 fans are the best to support their schools and when it gets down to a precious few, we need to come together as one. I plan on being around at the games if TC gets put out before the others from this region. GOOD LUCK TO ALL REGION 4 TEAMS!!!!
  6. Hey Del, A few weeks ago you asked if I had any special requests for the concesion stand. I replied that I just wanted a cup of coffee at halftime. Since you're going to be in the pressbox, is that close to the concession stand??? If it is, TCHSNO1FAN and myself might just have to come on up and introduce ourselves. We're looking forward to being there early!!! Look for us!! We'll be wearing purple and gold!!!! HA-HA!!!!
  7. freshman attendant is Lacey Smotherman
  8. It is still one of, if not, the best for a school of TC's size. Thanks for the vote and come back to see us anytime.
  9. All Jacket fans wish Coach Clint luck tonight on going after his 200th win!!!! Exceptional coach; exceptional program; exceptional record. GET'CHA SOME COACH CLINT!!!!!
  10. THoughts and prayers for Ryan from Trousdale County. TO his family, remember and believe in the power of prayer. If anything can help, you can be sure prayer is it and it looks like you've got prayers coming from the entire state of Tennessee. Keep us posted on his condition!
  11. I agree that the intensity of the game leads to some behavior that is not the norm sometimes, but I see nothing that would explain a player NOT shaking hands at the end of a game. I do think that a coach should have more of a handle on his players than to let this type of behavior continue. A coach cannot be blamed for a one-time incident, but when it occurs in more than one game throughout a season, there is a problem. Portland has an excellent program, except for the sportsmanship aspect, and should be proud of it. I honestly don't know what Coach Satterfield would do if a TC player refused to shake hands following a game. I'd be willing to bet that the player would not want to make that mistake again. I know our boys would never think of "flipping off" the visitor's crowd after a game. OOPS!!! I forgot. Someone earlier said that we, on the TC side, didn't see that and that it never happened!!!!! As I have said before, a coach should be teaching more than what play to run.
  12. If we get to visit with you, just have me a cup of coffee waiting at halftime. These JAcket fans hope P-Town gets to make the trip to your place, too. Apparently Walker VAlley has done an outstanding job in building a program over the past few years. Congrats on the region title.
  13. What are the standings in your region as of now and are there any more games on any schedules that could affect those standings? Trousdale County fans are very interested in your region.
  14. I have a question for the G'ville Tiger fans. How does the win over FCS shape up the playoff picture for the Tigers? Who do they have left on the schedule before playoffs? Just interested in what the 1-A picture looks like.
  15. HALLEUJAH!!!!!! Some sanity still remains on this thread.
  16. Just wanted to give Smith Co a congrat on a well played game and to comment on how they won that game with class and dignity. A great team not only handles a defeat with class but also handles the victory in the same way. I heard no crude remarks from any Owl player, only good comments. I also want to comment on the exceptional way the boys met in the middle of the field, TOGETHER, for a prayer while a player was down. This proved to me that both programs, Smith and Trousdale , are teaching more than plays to run. Coaches Maynard and Satterfield should both be extremely proud of their team and the actions exhibited by those teams. As for the one crude comment I did hear after the game, which came from a fan, I don't believe this game could be considered an "a** whippin' ". It was a hard fought high school football game which was won by the best team on that night. It's a shame the fans couldn't act like the kids.
  17. PLEASE don't refer to Clint Satterfield as a Spurrier!!!! A lot of JAcket fans would consider t hat an insult.
  18. WELL SAID!!!! There is a lot more to a great coach than a win - loss percentage. A great coach teaches the plays needed for life and not just on the field.
  19. Satterfield Middle School (Trousdale Co.) is still undefeated after pulling off another last minute win last night .
  20. Hey, all the LA fans! I have a question. When do your cats go against the cats from Portland and where is that game to be played?
  21. This should be another really good region match-up. York is always tough at home. I think they will pull out a close one and also loser of this one may be kissing playoffs goodbye.
  22. Just wanted to give Coach Dyer and his staff and players a big congratulations from the creekbank! The big Tiger win sure made the next two weeks more interesting for the Jackets. By the way, how did Coach Dyer's son Matt do in the game? Did he make any big plays? Gotta be tough living in that house last week and this week. Looking forward to seeing the Tigers on the creekbank in a couple of weeks. GO JACKETS!!!!
  23. What happened to the original topic of Trousdale vs. Smith???? I'd like to hear more opinions on this upcoming game instead of reasons or excuses for last weeks wins or losses. My opinion on this week's showdown: JACKETS - 32 OWLS - 12
