  1. Man, I can't wait to post the week after the Central/Maryville game. I bet you maryville sheep don't show your mugs that week. I just wish the game was at Maryville this year so I could dance on the middle of their field after it gets handed to them. Guys, I know it hurts that you can't be as good as Central, but keep on trying and maybe one of these days you'll be back in the playoffs. BTW, I don't blame maryville for trying to move up to 5A. It's a much easier region and they know their time is over in 3-4A.
  2. And with that post you've just proven my point, sars.
  3. Susie, you are right. He must be a brilliant man the way he amuses himself on here everyday. Now, why don't you two find a chat room and continue your lovefest elsewhere. Much more of this crap and I'm going to lose my breakfast.
  4. Butch wax? Guys, there's no need to bring your sisters into this discussion, now. Let's keep it clean on here.
  5. He may play a little special teams by his senior year.
  6. You know, if I was a coach at Carter I think this would qualify as "bulletin board" material. I've yet to see "tradition" win a football game. I just got off the phone with my friends in Vegas and the early line on their first game is Maryville by a field goal. That's a bit surprising to me since the game is at Maryville. Any good spots to tailgate out there? Preferably a nice spot in the shade for myself, JP, and BMorgan to enjoy some refreshments and set up our tables to sell Central state champ t-shirts.
  7. Ridgeway may knock off somebody, but it won't be maryville. My best estimate is that there will be anywhere from 4-6 teams that will knock off maryville this year. Heck, it could start as soon as next Saturday when they host an improving Carter team.
  8. AE's a good program, but they're not ready to run with the big boys just yet. I hope there were some maryville fans watching this one because it's just a little taste of what's coming to them in a matter of weeks. Better get your orders in early for the "Central 2003-04 State Champs" t-shirts cause they're going like hotcakes. Thanks to the rest of 3-4A for getting the champs ready for the playoffs this year and for participating in the regular season.
  9. What's with all this kissing and making up b.s. between you two? IMO, you guys had some of the better arguments on here last year, so why go and ruin it now? Now, go back to your corners and come out swinging.
  10. I hope murville enjoys these victories they are experiencing in the preseason. To bad they won't help improve that 4-6 record at the end of the year.
  11. Preseason scrimmages don't mean jack when it comes to the regular season. Coaches are trying to find out what they have, or don't have in some cases. As for Halls, I hope Coach Sheppard moves on to a program where he is appreciated. Maybe then you whiners out there will understand how difficult it is to take average talent and compete in the toughest region in the state year in and year out. The only weaknesses I see out there are a couple of the assistants.
  12. Clinton's football team has for the second year in a row lost a kid to a trajedy. They had a player who was stabbed to death last night. Keep the team and coaches in your thoughts and prayers.
  13. It's good to see a program being used to help the masses in Blount Co. Just curious, what year did you, starsnsars, and the other rebel faithful on here graduate from Everett?
  14. Stars, the more I read your posts, the more I'm convinced you've been on the kool-aid a long time. As for the Gibbs-Halls matchup, you and I both know that if these 2 teams were to play during the regular season that it would be disastrous for the eagles. I give the Gibbs coach credit for realizing this a few years ago and dropping the devils from his schedule. BTW, I'm told that a couple of key starters for Halls didn't even suit up for that one. I'm ordering Central 2003-04 State Champ t-shirts as we speak. Thanks to Maryville for participating in this years REGULAR football season.
  15. It's embarassing to all of us 3-4A fans when our defending state champs get it handed to them by a team from a lower classification. I hope GQ gets the problems corrected out there, or 4-6 will be right around the corner. I'm definitely going to enjoy this season the more I think about it. As for the AE scrimmage, quit making excuses. I don't care if it was your starters or not at safety, both teams were still supposedly playing their "ones." Man, I can't wait until the bobcats deepen that mudhole and then moonwalk it dry.
  16. Are you telling me that a 3A team shutout a 4A team? Maryville must be slipping a bit. I wish they had the nads to schedule AE during the regular season and let AE continue with they mud-hole stomping they started the other day.
  17. Bobcats 27, Rebels 17 The torch has been passed in 3-4A. Both teams are solid offensively, with maybe a slight edge to Central due to Cassen Jackson. Defensively, McMillan's crew is always ready to create havoc. Maryville's "D" may suffer a bit due to the inexperience. Even with Maryville slipping a bit, don't be surprised if both these teams meet up again in the playoffs.
  18. When do these 2 teams meet? I think an early season match-up favors AE. Fulton always seems to be a slow starting team. I think they (Fulton) have a chance to be a more athletic team this year with Long at QB. However, I'm afraid AE will embarrass quite a few teams before it's all said and done. Either way, I would hate to have either of these teams on my schedule late in the season.
  19. A couple things for you here ronnie. First, I've never "bashed" Carter, Halls, or Powell. I simply bring the truth about your rebels to this forum each and everyday. I've also never "bashed" strawplains or QBdad. I've simply made some critical points regarding some of their posts. Nothing personal, just business. Finally, fortunately no one on here gives a rat's _ _ _ about your book.
  20. Stars, your posts might make more sense if you wait and smoke your wacky weed AFTER you write them. You murville sympathizers need to go create your own chatboard and keep your insider lingo to yourselves. Are you all still going to be in such chipper moods after the bobcats assume the throne in 3-4A and make you like it? My wager is that half of you are on here at the end of the season calling for GQ's job just as you were when he lost the first 4 a few years ago. I believe such fans are referred to as "fair weather," aren't they? BTW, which one of those inexperienced corners is going to tackle Cassen Jackson when he gets a full head of steam around the corner? It's not going to happen.
  21. Friday Night Lights is a good read about high school football in Texas. Feinstein has a good book about the rivalry between Army and Navy.
  22. Packer and Basilio still doing commentary?
  23. billy boy, you sound like you're in the know in the carters community. I heard they had a big turnaround on their staff from last year. What gives? Do they have the proper staff in place to coach all the supposed talent i read about on here?
  24. I'm not sure winning state championships using smoke and mirrors qualifies one to be a great coach. Maryville's run has been all luck and it will soon end. You maryville supporters, get your crying towels ready. You will soon become the cellar dweller of 3-4A.
