  1. Congratulations Lady Owls, it's been years since I've seen the Lady Jets dominated like that. Good Luck the rest of the way.
  2. I think last year most of CCHS team played Cyclone ball. Because a few of the girls were too old, they played a lot of 18-under tourneys. Most of them could have played 16-under, but they decided to play up rather than exclude a couple of the girls.
  3. Cumberland has a few girl's banged up right now. They've got capable back-ups, just not sure they're ready to step into a district game with everything riding on the results. Probably need a few more games to settle down. Should be a good game, weather looks good, time to play ball. Good luck to both teams.
  4. I heard that the new school, Stone Memorial will initially be listed at approximately 825 students. That should put them as 3A in football and 2A in everything else. Cumberland Co. High School will have over 1100 students looks like that might possibly drop them to 4A football and 3A everything else. I think Stone was designed for around 1400 students, so obviously at some point they will both be in 3A and 5A together. Rumor has it that Stone would be playing in a Knoxville region though, not Chattanooga.
  5. I was at that game. I, certainly felt like the final score was way out of hand. I'm a faithful Jet Fan and I could certainly not blame the White Co. team if they get a chance to run it up on the Jets. Until the CCHS coaches learn to take those oppurtunities to get younger players some experience, I'm afraid they will have years that are peaks and valleys.
  6. o he wouldn't would he? Wasn't Everett the one who pitched 11 innings last week? Seems a little dangerous to me! thumb
  7. I think most everyone would agree that Cleveland eliminating Bradley in the finals of the loser's bracket was an upset. Bradley and Cumberland split during the regular season and this was the only loss for both teams in the district. Bradley just looked like a tired team against Cleveland for some reason. Having said that, Cleveland got it done when it counted, so you have to give credit to them for that.
  8. Cumberland did win the district last night at Bradley Central. But, they played Cleveland not Bradley. The final score was 2-0. Cleveland finishes 2nd in the district and travels to Soddy on monday. Cumberland will host Red Bank.
  9. Games is in Crossville. I think varsity @ 6:00, JV before that. Will check on time and make sure today. (Make-up game originally scheduled for a saturday)
  10. I saw one hit out @ Tommahawk in Franklin Co. Sunday. That went screaming out directly over the 406' mark in center field.
  11. Where is Seven Oaks Park? How's the best way to go from Crossville?
  12. We have saved three really special Zebras for this game 1 from Linary, 1 from Isoline, and 1 from Hebbertsburg. Ha Ha Ha !!!! Seriously, the game hasn't even been played, and you're already complaining about the officials. It's my understanding that all our district games use the the officiating group out of Athens during the regular season. You really think they favor us over someone from the east side of the river? During the post season they are sent in from areas other than the regions that are playing. We have one good year and it's all based on the officials. I think this will be an excellent game, the last game these 2 teams played was probably the most competitive Women's basketball game I've ever seen at any level. I wouldn't be shocked which ever team wins. I expect both teams will represent our district and region well in the next round.
  13. Itll be tough for the jets without King!!
