I agree with REDSMAN. I really dont understand why Bates is starting over little Shao at short. Did Shao not start at short last season? I think Bates is a good infielder to but I just dont understand why he is at short over Shao. I guess either way you cant go wrong. If Purvis thinks that Bates is doing a better job at short, then I'll take his word for it. I also agree that Cliff Hardy is a heck of a player. Who is going to be at short for Beech this season?

What do you mean by H'ville didnt have the guts to win state last year? I would take last years H'ville team over last years Mt. Juliet team any day. Do you even know who H'ville's 2 losses at state were to?....None other than Farragut. Yeah, you know, that one team from Knoxville that went 48-1 and finished ranked in the top 25 in the nation. Think about what you just said man.

So how will 9-AAA play out this year. I think everyone's preseason pick last year was Lavergne, which was not suprising because they had just come off of a state championship season, but Hendersonville stepped up and proved, I think to be the 2nd best team in the state behind Farragut. So anybody with info, let us know who will be the top teams this year and where they will finish.

Brewer signed with Florida during the early signing period back in November. Great player who I wouldnt be suprised to see get some playing time down in Gainesville next year as a freshman. He's definetly the best high school player I've ever seen play. He's no Lebron or Carmelo but he's pretty good.

This is something I have been curious about for awhile now and just thought I would put it out there for different opinions...When do you think that losing seasons should finally add up to where maybe there shoudl be something done about the coaching? Should a coach be allowed to remain as the coach if there is no progress or success being built for a schools program? I know this a situation that many teams face..so when is enough finally enough.. give me some feedback! thnks guys...oh and this is not pointing fingers at anyone particular..just something that we see not only in high school but all athletics....

I dont think White House has a chance in this one. They'll play and keep it considerably close, but this years team just cant get past Hillsboro. I dont think you can compare this years team to the team of '97. The '97 team was better than everyone thought period. That team had athletes at almost every position with guys like Barker, Finch, Jones, Rogers, Harris, etc. This years team has a few athletes but not enough to overcome a very athletic team like Hillsboro. I'm a White House fan and wish them best of luck but I dont see it happening this year. So hopefully you guys will come out and prove me wrong. Good Luck WH.

From what was going around school last week, on either Tuesday or Wendsday #11 accidentally punched a drill and it did a number on his throwing hand I believe. Dont know how it happened exactly but thats what I was told.

No, he's definetly not a coach from White House. No coaches from White House would ever get on here and run there mouth about an upcoming game or a past game that they had nothing to do with(the Whites Creek coaches 4 and 1 decision). Its called class. Coachchris needs to grow up and act his age and get some class about him. But then again I have never seen a team from Northwest that had any class whatsoever.

Heritage will always be second to the REAL White House. You guys will look good though in the years to come, losing in the stadium that we built. Thats about the only thing you can do, is steal our stadium.

Who cares about buses and police escorts. The police escort they have is the school cop. They dont use WH cop cars or cops to escort the buses. Doesnt anyone have anything better to talk about than our police escorts? I like the idea, if I was on the bus I would want to get home and celebrate my win as fast as I could.

I think if the defense looks like it did last week against Springfield and not like it did against Portland, White House wins easy and big 35-6.

Thats a good enough reason on why May was on the team for me. He's a good pitcher dont get me wrong, he beat us. Bratton is good to but I see your point in him not being much better than May.

I though Bobby Bratton of Columbia was a senior this year. Whats the deal there? Am I wrong or is that just a misprint? Also, no diss to Beech or anything but how did Stephen May make it on this team? He's a good pitcher and all but he doesnt compare to guys like Bratton(if he's a junior), Justin Pickett, Alex Watson and the guy from Farragut. I dont really understand that one.

Do the coaches that are putting on the tryout want the players that made it to last Saturdays tryout to come to this one this Saturday if they can make it?

What will happen now that Sundays tryout got cancelled for the 5/6 region tryouts at Hickman Co.? Will they hold another tryout next weekend or will they just pick from the players that showed up on Saturday? What should the guys that were their on Saturday expect?

My pick is H'ville in this one. Their offense will be to much for Farragut I think. And plus Meador is on the mound so well see what happens at 5 i guess.

About how many players tryout for this showcase at each tryout site and what are the odds of making one of the teams?

How are teams in 9AAA going to be next year? How many seniors are all 8 teams going to be graduating this summer? I know White House is losing alot and Hendersonville is to. How do MJ, Beech, Gallatin, Wilson Central, Lavergne, and Smyrna look for next year? What upcoming seniors will be playing a big role for them?

White House would whoop on every one. And pretty much has in 9AAA.
