The JV on Friday will be canceled. Sat tournament will go as planned.

It is my understanding that they do not do this any more. I have asked about a clearification on this rule 3 out of the past four years in the middle tennessee rules meetings. I have not gotten one yet. The half a pound should not hurt anyone. If a kid is getting flagged by the weight management TSSAA will call to find out why. Once they know there shouldn't be any problems.

Tonight I sit at home and thank God for the blessings in my life. As many of you know Clarksville was hit by tornados last night. I don't know about Montgomery Central but many of you will know the Hebda's that wrestle for Clarksville lost thier house. I spent the day picking through what was left of three of my wrestler's bedrooms. What to save what to leave to be trashed. Tonight the Red Cross has put them up in a hotel. You sit and see what has happened in Fl and La, but until it happens to you or someone you know you really can not fathom what it is like. They were lucky we held practice and did not dissmiss like the other schools in the county did. Right now I don't know of anything anyone can do for the Hebda's other than prayers that their lives can return to normal soon. IF I learn of any needs I will post.

I didn't realize Smyrna was in this region. They will add to the mix at this time I think they will make a run but Springfield and Hendersonville will be on top.

Top four teams in region tournament springfield hendersonville Mt. Juliet Beech I think the top two could switch and the bottom two could switch based on what is returning for this year. But it is a long season and anything could happen. Springfield is my top pick because they should be reapping the benifits of last year's second place in the duals and they didn't lose too many.

I was one of the reasons Jeff choose CHS over Montgomery Central the first time and I was one of the reasons he returned. I had better seasons while he was away than what he came back to. I had my taste of being head coach and I'm perfectly content to work for Jeff. I asked him to return. In fact I gave it to him a year earlier than our plan. If I wanted to be a head coach I could have moved to any of the other schools this summer when they called. Jeff and I work great together and I wouldn't want it any other way. The other tournament you mention is Greenville and we can only go every 4 years when Jan has 5 weekends. And yes I'll be hunkered down in my pit with greenheads and snows flying over head that weekend.

Hespinnedref, It's spelled Sharrock. Jeff Jordan and myself left CHS at the same time. He was burned out and wanted time off before coaching his own kids. I knew stepping up after him would be tough. Rossview hired me but did not keep thier promise. Anyone who knows me knew I was very close to the JR class, so I stunk it up and went back to Clarksville. I knew Jeff was looking to coach at Montgomery Central, so I went proactive and went after him. We enjoy working with each other and do a pretty good job. Ryan Tournament- I choose to leave Ryan and it had nothing to do wrestling. I live to hunt and that weekend is spent in Wheatley Ar. duck hunting along with next weekend, Thanksgiving and an other time I can slip away. As far as Jeff not going to Ryan I'd be glad fill you in, but this board is not the place. Why don't you look at Clarksville's past schedules and you will see they wrestle the top teams through out the state year in and out. How many trainers were there? Did they charge you extra since the test was not scheduled?

WrestleSBA Did you're area have a mass testing date during the week? If not did you have to pay the $10 to 15 dollars extra per kid to be tested outside a mass testing time?

Gumbi The 2% you are asking about has already been figured in to the Min. weight a wrestler can drop on the web site. Wrestlers are told at testing what thier 7% min weight is, but when it is posted on the website the 2% is already figured in so it should be lowwer than what the kid was told at testing. And a kid under 7% does not get the 2% and it is not figured by the the website.

I'm wondering if you are going to come clean?

Coaches and wrestlers SHOULD NOT worry about it!!!!! If they do test it will not affect them entering the tournament. If it did it would have been in the fax all the coaches got on Monday. Do not worry!!!

I do not belive wrestlers will have to PASS a test. All the weight management machines will be in Chatanooga this week end. I do belive on Sat. everyone who weigh's in will be checked, not to enter the tournament but to help with next year's rules.

I have not recived it at CHS, RHS is checking also. I will say everyone who weighed in at the duals below thier certified weight was ruled out of the tournament. I can belive they would be checking body fat for stats but not to enter the tournament.

You play too much! You will have every kid scared to death and maybe make someone miss a weigh in.
