I play for Franklin, although I am ashamed to say it now, after the loss to Brentwood, but this years team is one of the best in the past 2-3 years. We aren't experianced, but next year and the following we will start to pick up. We only have 2 seniors this year, and our freshman class is outstanding. Be looking out for them. I promise they will be making major contributions the rest of this year and as sophomores.

Do not Count the Rebels out. They have heart and will rebound to a fair season- though they aren't the best team they have every had, every school has their ups and downs. Watch Hillsboro in a few years, they will be back to "okay" then, Overton or Spring Hill will be the dominant team. Brentwood is good right now, and I can't say for the guys, but the girls will not be the team they always have been in 2 years once they loose their Juniors. It's all about fun and games.

Franklin went to the tournament as well and though we lost 2 games by a total of 5 points, we got 6th place. It was cool because Page was at our games and we were at Page games cheering eachother on. They played great and are a very good team- Ironically enough, we play Page at Page Saturday January 4th at 5. Good Tournament Page!

There are a few questionable people in my opinion that are in and aren't on the All State team. Maybe I am showing a little favortism, but Franklin High only lost to the State Champs- yes twice, but how do they not get one single person on the team, or Honorable Mention. Otey got the All state sports writers when he played horrible when it came down to crunch time. Does anyone else see this? Why not Murray #1, Refugee #4, Christiansen #14, Green #5 and a few others? Franklin had enough talent to at least have one person represent FHS. I am sure there are other teams who thought they should have had at least one player on the All State team that didn't---- what do you think? [Edited by PG23FHSWR1 on 12-22-02 6:54P]

I was there and I agree, not that ANYONE would know, but the calls were just as bad in the Girls game, but they were at least both ways. We got bad calls but so did Hillsboro. The girls lost by the way, since no one ever shows up to watch our games, it ended up by about 20 something after trying to get back into the game, but they made all their freethrows.

Congrats to Brentwood! I'm from Franklin and when it comes to us vs. them we hate Brentwood, but when you guys are representing our Co., you give us no choice but to be for you! Good Luck next weekend vs. Riverdale. I hope to be there! PG23FHSWR1

Friendship didn't look like they had any heart in the game what so ever. FRA is a good team who went to the State Tournament last year and is back this year w/o losing anyone. Street and Pike lead the team today and beat FCS with heart, not necessarily all talent. But I think FCS is a better team then what they showed today. Page played a great game, but I don't think Ezell is any thing like they were last year (over-rated). Congrats Page (under-rated), goodluck tomorrow vs. Obion.

if you are talkin about the Leigh Little from BA, you need to get out more- There are tons of great Junior girls starting anywhere from Brentwood to Shelbyville to Lawrence Co and Oak Ridge. Not taking anything from Little, but she isn't the best Junior girl by far. (Again, my apology if this is a different Leigh Little)

I agree, boys, you guys are great role models and have proved a lot to the State of Tennessee. Eventhough some people never truely believed in you- I always did! I love you guys like Brothers, Congrats to Brentwood and Congrats to the Rebs on a fantastic season. PG23FHSWR1

I'm listenin to the radio and my Head Trainer just called me from the game (FHS vs. GHS) 21-0 FHS, and the lights just went out at the stadium. A little fishy huh? But it has been raining all day so maybe they can fix it so we can keep the victory on

To any of my boys who read this- I am sorry I could not make it to "our" game tonight. You know how things come up I guess.
