  1. Does anyone have an updated schedule for Thur and Fri? I know Karns, Siegel, McMinn, and Bearden all won, but who plays and what are the times for all the girls games?
  2. If you are looking for an early team camp, there will be one at Roane St. Community College in Harriman, May 31 - June 2. This was formally the Oliver Springs team camp and it has moved with Coach Wright to RSCC. Call 865-354-3000 ext 4388 for more information!!
  3. Oliver Springs HS is hosting their 4th annual team camp June 1st, 2nd, & 3rd!! Call the school (865)435-7216 and ask for Coach Wright for more info (or email) coachofladycats@yahoo.com
  4. What do these 2 teams schedules look like before the district tournament begins next week? Do they have make up games to play?
  5. This may turn out to be an odd fluke of events. If OS and Oneida Middle Schools play on Thursday, they will be playing the same night as the high school teams play. OS and Oneida High Schools have rescheduled their regular season game for Thursday night!! An interesting evening, and a preview for the next 4 years in that district!!
  6. I just noticed on the TSSAA website, the board of control voted to keep the girls and boys state basketball tournaments the same until 2009!!! Great news for the people that matter the most; the KIDS!!! thumb
  7. The Oliver Springs vs Scott Co game for Tueday night 12/7/04 has moved to Oliver Springs. The game was supposed to be played at Scott, but has been changed to OS, due to some problems in the Scott High gym. GJV @ 5:00, GV @ 6:30, BV @ 8:00!! The Feb 11th game will be played at Scott Co.
  8. That has had to be posponed to another night!! Laura is not going to be able to make it due to obligations with the UTC Lady Mocs. Stay tuned for an announcement about the rescheduling of that event!!
  9. Any scrimmages scheduled for Clarkrange for this weekend? How are they going to look this season? Any news would be appreciated!
  10. You are correct. I went back and added her to the list!!
  11. I think the roster looks something like this: Cait McMahan - Heritage Holly Rogers - Cleveland Crista Burtnett - Cleveland Erin Ogan - Powell Megan Lyons - Greeneville Nakiesha Manuel - Greeneville Melissa Liebschwager - Briarcrest Tiffany Rodd - Clinton Ashley Huff - Jefferson Co. Ashley Kyle - Jefferson Co. Ashley Grey - Morristown West Brandi Brown - York
  12. Girls High School Team Camp at Oliver Springs June 2-4. Contact Coach Todd Wright at 865-435-7216 or coachofladycats@yahoo.com for more information. This will be the 3rd year for this successful camp. Past teams have included Farragut, Clinton, Oneida, York, Cumberland Co, Tellico Plains, Sweetwater, Harriman, Loudon, ect.
  13. From your post, it sounds like your an expert in stopping Laura Hall and the rest of the Bobcats. You need to find a top notch coaching job if you don't have one already. If stopping our girls is simply that easy, why are we still playing? Why haven't other teams ended our season yet? I'm not taking anything away from LA. They're a great team that i know our girls like and respect. How exactly does Hall get out of sink? Doesn't she avg 27ppg aginst LA. I watched the x-mas tournament game against you guys and i never saw her get out of sink. Whoever wants this game better hit the boards on offense and defense and get some second chance points. I'll say that OS will have a very difficult time winning if LA shoots the ball 20+ more times like Cheatham Co. did yesteday. I like our chances.. Go Lady Bobcats....
  14. Just for the record, Obion beat OS by single digits, way back at Thanksgiving, and OS played without the Lankford sisters...but I don't really understand why people are talking about who people played. The only thing that matters is that Gibson Co. will have to play the best game they have played all year to beat Livingston Academy, and OS will have to play their best game all year to beat Cheatam Co. Rankings don't mean anything at this point, the only thing that matters is that the team that can somehow find ways to win, and have enough energy to be left standing on 2 feet on Saturday night, will be the CHAMPION!!!
  15. 4:30 Seymour vs. Lenoir City 6:00 Kingston vs. Fulton 7:30 Oliver Springs vs. Austin East 9:00 Alcoa vs. Loudon
  16. They should have some interest from District 3 & 4 because of possible sub-state matchups. Which of these teams have the best shots at South Greene and Pigeon Forge, from District 2? What 2 do you see representing Region 1? Who will be hosting a substate game from the region? Where is the Region 1 tournament at next week?
  17. Springfield and Portland, according to the scoreboard!!
  18. This will probably get a lot of negative comments back, but it is just an opinion. Brooke Johnson is an excellent basketball player with a very bright future, so don't get me wrong. Something to ponder is this: How many points and rebounds does she get per night just because she is 6'4"? Can she take over a game when she has to have someone get her the ball? These other 3 young ladies are a 5'10" post who handles the ball a lot, a 5'11" wing/post who handles the ball in the open floor better than a lot of point guards, and a 5'5" point guard who controls most games she plays on both ends of the court. No one should be punished because they are tall, but it seems that these other ladies must work a little harder to achieve their goals. This would seem to make their stats more impressive. Also, they all 3 can decide a game by having to make a play the full length of the court. They do not have the luxury of just going down to the block, putting up a hand, and having someone throw them the ball. Some might say, "what about the double and triple teams," but the others are often double teamed as well, without being head and shoulders above the defenders. All 4 of these young ladies are worthy candidates, and all would deserve to win. This was just something to think about, and to stir the pot some more!!
  19. I had a courtside seat to watch this girl play. She is the real deal!! Congratulations to a fierce competitor, and outstanding player!! She will help out the Cumberland program!!
  20. What about when the region tournament arrives? How do the 2AA teams look against the 1AA teams? Where is the tournament being held? Who do you folks think will go to the sub-state?
  21. Congratulations to the LADY CATS of OSMS!!! Great job Coach Bilyeu and ladies!! Now go bring home the big trophy!! GOOD LUCK in the sectional!!
  22. As of right now the game is on!!
  23. Here are a few stats of interest: Brianne Lankford: 7 pts, 6 rebs, 5 steals, 4 assts Laura Hall: 2 pts, 2 rebs, 8 steals, 4 assts Jessie Hackworth: 12 pts, 6 rebs, 3 assts Kara Monk: 13 pts, 2 rebs, 5 assts Casee Wampler: 3 pts, 2 rebs Jennifer Smith: 3 pts, 2 rebs, 2 steals Tia Goins: 18 pts, 6 rebs OS hit 5 3's, Kingston hit 2 OS had 12 offensive rebounds, Kingston had 6 OS had 19 assists, and forced Kingston into 28 turnovers
  24. Anybody out there have any details about this game? Very surprising to see that Cumberland Co beat Bradley, after losing so badly in the first meeting. Clinton travels to Cumberland tonight, and Oliver Springs goes there on Tuesday. Need to know what these 2 area teams can expect!!
