if the saints win it will not be from the effort of one player especially not a lineman. Big Mike is a good player but it will take a team effort to win this. They are going to have to do something about Simmins see you guys in about five hours

Just a little advice, If you ever go to melrose dont ever say something like that or you wont live long. Like ive said befoure the melrose players are good guys and cannot be held responsible for how fans act at thier games. I would love to see anyone go into O.M. and "dispose" of anyone who lives there especially anyone from Maryville. I would like to wish both teams goodluck on friday and to the winner, go beat the crap out of Maryville, because i know im not the only one tired of hearing crap like this from them. thumb

All im saying is I hear the same kind of stuff over here. Maybe even worse because East and Middle Tennessee have never given West Tennessee teams much respect. Not that those guys are not wrong to do that, its just the same over here.

A west TN radio station bragging about west TN teams, wow imagine that. Im a former west TN player, and now i live in east TN. I have not heard very much about Melrose from here. All I hear about is east TN teams thats just how it is.

Its great that you love your team and are coming down to support them but dont walk in O.M. expecting to see a good old fashioned football game. I am a white guy that played for a mostly white private school in Memphis. I played against melrose for four years, and those guys are great. They play hard and clean but going into O.M. is not like going into most neighborhoods. Melrose fans although great fans have been known to loose it at times. I just hope the MPD will have the game covered. Other than that i see melrose to win in a close game

Saints will pull it out if they come to play. They should have won earlier this year. They went into that game with big heads which was stupid knowing that ECS always comes to play. Bcrest has a great team this year. It will be close because it always is with with ecs and briarcrest. Good luck saints, Ill be at the game along with some other former players. We will wear our 2002 rings for luck. thumb

I will give it to Knox. Catholic or BGA This years Briarcrest team is cocky and undiciplined-especially those players who have transfered there from shelby county schools.(HHS)

hey wesley, we lost six seniors seven if you count westberry which i dont, but still six sounds more correct. I should know, I was one.

Briarcrest has some tough teams in there division, I would ask them to remember that and not talk to much before the season has even started. As a former player I will always want Briarcrest to win, but I would advise them to wait untill something is proven before anything is said about state.

Thats what most people say about Briarcrest however it is not quite accurate. Thats what Harding said befoure the reigon tournament. They set up their defensive game around Mike and lost by the biggest margin againt Briarcrest this year. "Big Mike" is a great player, but he is not the only great player. Briarcrest has some great shooters on the team. However I also know that this season Harding does not compare to any of the teams at state so it will be interesting to see what happens.

I go to Briarcrest. I was on the front row of the student section right in front of the goal where the shot took place. From what I saw the basket was shot preceeding the buzzer. Even if it was not, one ref said basket the other said no basket. There was a ton of yelling from both sides, and people were all over the court. This may have been one of the reasons for ending the game right there. The ref made a final no basket call and ran off the court. The officers at the game even came to midcourt to make shure there was no fighting. I dont agree with the call, however the game is over and it doesnt matter. I hope to see Briarcrest win big in the next game and go to State for another shot. I would also not be surprised to see an oppology from tssaa after they review the film.

I believe that briarcrest has a tough scedule this year: East Ridgeway Callaway county Tredwell CBHS MUS St. Benadict Carver ECS Harding

I believe this year may be far from close to last year. BGA will probably have another strong team this year. and you can never underestimate teams like HA and ECS. My only hope is that Briarcrest players dont let last year go to thier head. This years scedule is one of the hardest that they have ever had. This will be a very interesting season.

I think ridgeway will have a good team again this year. MUS in my oppinion will be a team to watch out for this year i think that they may have the win over CBHS. Other promising teams include: Germantown, Melrose, and Hopefully Briarcrest

truerebelplaya, you must realize that i infact am on a state championship team this year and do know what a champion team looks like. I would also like to point out that I have seen both teams play and i am not putting either team down i just think melrose is stronger this year than they have been in a while. They want it bad, and i believe it would be a good game. but they have to win tonight, cant wait [Edited by bcs72 on 11-29-02 1:54P]

i do not go to melrose nor am i a melrose fan, but i have seen them play and i think they have got what it takes to win this game,and the one after [Edited by bcs72 on 11-28-02 7:53P]

i have a feeling it will be a closer game than that
