Lawrence County 1-0 White County 1-1 Dekalb County 0-2 According to the first schedule post. White, Lawrence should be a great matchup this weekend. I think Lawrence is about 10pts. better on a neutral floor but at White County it should be much closer. Coach

What do you guys think of this. Should be a pretty good matchup Saturday night in the boro. Coach Burt vs. Coach Harlowe in what will be coached as a state championship by both. Give the slight edge to Bradley but if Riverdale's guards are on watch out! It could come down to the wire. Good Luck Coach

Blackman may win, which should be expected. But, be ready for the Cumberland County girls b/c they always play hard and very physical. Should be a great game. Coach

Dekalb will have a very tough time of it this year. They will be lucky to win a game in this district this year. Jackson County, Livingston, Upperman, and a pretty good York, Smith, and Cannon County teams will make this very difficult for them this season. But, anything can happen, I think. I saw Columbia this summer and the new coach will do a good job. But, I believe that Shelbyville will step to the top of that district this year. Good Luck to Everyone. Coach

I think Riverdale will have a chance to surprise some people this year. They have one of the top 10 players in the state in LaBrian Lyons leading the way. They have a very a good supporting cast in Jerry Onwu Sr., Chris Perkins Jr., Chris HarrisSr., Michael LavendarJr., Gaston Miller So., and also a very athletic Ramel Oliver at about 6 4' Jr. When Riverdale gets their football players back (Perkins, Miller, Oliver, and also Terrence Savannah), they could be a force to be dealt with in 7AAA. I also think Shelbville will step to forefront this year and knock off the Columbia menace that has dominated that district for years. Coach Thomas will have the troops ready and loaded this year. Just wondering, why would a varsity coach take his jv or freshmen team to play in a varsity jamboree. I do not know this guy but heard that he was the Rick Insell of South Carolina. I guess he thinks very highly of himself. I have been to the Sumner County Jamboree before and that do it up right. I believe he took something away from his varsity kids from a new school to show that community what strides they have made. It is very competitive, but I question his motive on that. I do not know the whole situation, but would like to know more. Coach

CPGB06 Get Real! This is not a knock against York, which will have a pretty good year. Look, I am all for parity and everyone has a chance on any given night, but the only AA team in the state that has a chance is Jackson County at Jackson County. No offense to anyone in AA or in that district for that matter b/c that is one of the toughest in the state regardless of classification. Phone Number: Coaches do prepare their teams for the little things. The players do make the plays, but the belief in the system and the built in tradition will persevere most of the time. The last time I checked, all five starters this year are originally from ole' Bedford County. Before you say Newman, her mother played at Shelbyville. Good Luck to everyone. Lebanon (Dillagard) I believe Blackman and Riverdale will tie for third and will go to a coin toss. Just put those 2 in alphabetical order. Good Luck to All

Is this the tourney that Oak Hill Academy will be in?

How will 7AAA pan out this year. Will the title be in the boro this year or will it travel to the upper cumberland area. Will Coach Burt be able to revamp his team with the loss of Horton? Will Coach Grandstaff's return to Oakland be enough for the Lady Patriots to contend for a district title. Or, will coach Hess or coach Odom be ready to step to the forefront this year. All will have good seasons and good luck.

Mt. Juliet and Wilson Central seem to be the top 2 teams in this district. Smyrna and Lavergne will be much improved. If I had to rate the top 6: 1. Mt. Juliet 2. Wilson Central 3. Smyrna 3. Lavergne 5. Hendersonville 6. Beech 3 thru 6 good go either way at anytime. Lavergne's group is much improved from this summer and very very athletic which can always cause teams problems.

AMEN GT! Everyone played their hearts out last night and all week for that matter. There was not a team in any class or division in the Boro this week that did not want to be there. Congrats to all Champions and Participants. It was a great and memorable tournament!

I know I can speak for almost all coaches in saying I wish that we had to win the state in order to bring a capacity crowd to a game. This means expectations are high and they do not just have a team, they have a PROGRAM! GLTA
