ROBERTO, I checked each and every one of your 14 posts; do you have anything positive to say?
  2. RHS Tigers, Good luck Tuesday. Play to win, keep your heads up and go for it. Eight teams will be going to Memphis; the road starts at the district tournament.
  3. pennyplay6254, I didn't disgrace Oneida, their baseball team disgraced Oneida High School. I sincerely hope that Oneida does "return to greatness", to build up the competitiveness of our district. I would hope the future HS baseball players of Oneida and their parents will look at Oneida's rich tradition, and work to build a great program. I do not think Rockwood is "amazing" or anything else, but I am proud of their ability to put together a competitive team. If Oneida can do that, then maybe they will come back to "pummel" Rockwood (or anyone else who gets in their way on their path to greatness).
  4. 123baseball123, OK, why do you think Rockwood is garbage?
  5. No, I think it is "The Wood"
  6. what happened to Rockwood Rocks 2?
  7. You're right, RHSfan. Rockwood needs to play ball. If some of these rinky-dink schools aren't going to field a team, they should drop that sport at their school. Maybe they could get some softball players to fill in on the baseball team.
  8. I don't see a multiplier working successfully at all. You have some Div I privates that would need a multiplier of 4 or 5 to put them in a competitive classification. Some of the weaker Div I privates already have problems competing in single A now. For the stronger Div I privates, a multiplier of 1.5 would be a joke. You would just be moving the problem into AA. Same song different verse. I hate to see a split, but I don't see any other way of solving the problem. A multiplier will not fix the problem.
  9. Most AAA schools take baseball seriously, most A do not. Larger urban areas embrace competitive summer baseball ie. elite travel teams, USSSA, AAU etc. Most small towns are still stuck with Little League and Dixie Youth baseball. Do you see a correlation? In urban areas where competitive summer ball is played, the parents are serious about baseball. In small towns where Little League and Dixie Youth are played, parents consider baseball a recreational activity. If parents take summer baseball seriously, they will support and push for a high quality HS program. If parents see summer baseball as a recreational activity, that's how they will view their HS program.
  10. I can't believe how far some of the teams have moved up. Harriman, in the top ten? Yeah, they have scored 120 runs so far, but all the teams they have played have a combined 5 wins between them all.
  11. Badman15, woooooooooooooo, you are bad. I'll bet that last post makes you feel big.
  12. themagicrooster, You are right, I should quit bickering. I hope our basketball boys do well Monday night; I was just irritated that the baseball opener was cancelled. BTW, I am not an athlete, just a fan. I didn't want you or anyone else to think a RHS athlete would secretely wish another RHS team to loose.
  13. Well, it looks like the RHS baseball team has been banned from playing any day the basketball team is playing. The almighty basketball team will be playing Monday, so the season opener with Cumberland County has been postponed or canceled. March 10 is to HS baseball what the Daytona 500 is to NASCAR! This is the pits. If one is forced to choose just one sport at a time, then I will secretly hope Rockwood looses the next basketball game. I am sorry I feel that way. The baseball team can play with out the basketball players until they finish their season. That is a hardship, but we can live with it. It is an outright dictatorship when the baseball team is told they can't even play.
  14. RealGoEagles, You should send your child to a public school if: you live in a rural county with no private schools in close proximity. you are poor and can't afford the tuition of private schools. your son or daughter didn't make the grades for acceptance to private schools. you just don't really give a crap, and you send your children to school because it is the law. same as above, but you send them because public school is a very good baby sitting service. your child need special education. you are a looser (according to VolunteerGeneral). you are a whiner (same as above) etc. etc. etc. Would you like any more reasons why parents CHOOSE public schools? I have more reasons, but I seriously doubt if you really want to hear them.
  15. Hey pujo, Every thing you said is correct, but they (the privates) do play by the rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. tcballer29, What is your email address?
  17. If he has a 1.5 pop time on a full sized field, he can play for any team in the state of Tennessee.
  18. Rockwood Junior Robert Gilmore should definitely be included on the list of the top ten.
  19. Maybe there is nothing worth talking about on the Kingston thread!!
  20. rcpatriot, You asked 99AllTheWay to "Please clean up you grammer"???? She passed CoachT's test with flying colors; she told him that she was from Roane County!! I would like to think your post was in jest.
  21. hhsmike23, I can't remember, just which big name schools did Harriman beat to get the 3rd best record in the state?
  22. Bubba Herbold, Chris Kirkland and E.T. McCreary are some of the best 2004 catchers I've had the pleasure of watching. McCreary from Rockwood has some of best receiving skills of any catcher I've seen.
  23. 99ALLTHEWAY - check it out at: http://www.tbca.org/2003%20class%20a%201%20&%202%20.htm
  24. So, divepix, what you are saying is; If there are private schools in the classification, they are dominating. Is that a correct assessment of your post?
