Who are some of the better teams they have beaten this year? :confused:

Disgruntled? Not me. I think it's quite amusing that it took a great transfer from another county for Cookeville to get their first Dist. championship. I would just like to see one person on here from Cookeville admit that she is the biggest reason they won the Dist. Everyone from Cookeville thinks they would have won it anyway. No way. They would be 3rd or 4th in the Dist. without her. ###### poor sport? Go to Cookeville's gym if you want to see that. The student section is the rudest I have ever seen. Just think. If Cookeville wins about 20 more Dist. titles in a row they would be close to catching up with White County. HeHe

In order to beat Shelbyville you have to play with them first. I think several teams can hang with Shelbyville until the 4th quarter and that will give them a chance at winning. I will make an early prediction and say that Lawrence will not win in the region{even though I would love to see them beat Shelbyville}. Dist. 7-AAA teams are better than most think. I personally hope its anybody but Shelbyville and Oak Ridge in the finals and everyone outside of OR and Shelbyville knows what I'm talking about.

One thing is for sure. It will be much easier for Beech{as usual} to get to the state tourney than Region 4{Dist. 7-AAA and 8-AAA}. Dist. 7 is so loaded it will be hard just to get to the region.

I think 80-37 is a fluke. Riverdale is better than that.

I think Riverdale just proved that several teams have a shot at beating Shelbyville. There is very little diff. between Riverdale, White Co., and Cookevilles girls teams{All Dist. 7-AAA}. All are very good and are capable of knocking off Shelbyville. Should be a great region tourney.

The entire starting lineup for White County's eighth grade team is VERY good. They are something like 25-1.

dog11...Make sure you thank Reed. Without her I would say Cookeville would be in 3rd or 4th place in the Dist. behind Riverdale and White Co., maybe even behind Oakland.

White Co. boys are tough. They have one loss and approximately 25 wins. Ross Jolly{Brents brother}, Cory Crane, Kurt Clark, and others start for this VERY good 8th grade team.

Ocoee won by 6 or 7. White Countys Megan Herron did not play. I believe she is White Countys leading scorer.

Herron being out hurt the girls I'm sure. Maybe she'll be back for the TNT tourney. Congrats to the boys. I'm sure they'll do great in the TNT.

No one close to their caliber? Riverdale beat Cookeville. White Co. led the whole game only to barely lose at the end. I think these 3 teams are really close and any one of these teams can win the Dist. tourney.

Did the White Co. middle school boys and girls win the James C. Haile championships today in Murfreesboro? I know they both made it to the finals.

White Co. awful? They have 20+ wins and only one loss. They will show how good they are in the TNT tourney. Science Hill? Bring them on!!!

I think White Co. will win the boys 5A title. White Co. girls won the TNT last year and have a good shot at it again this year. Good luck Warriors and Warriorettes!!!

It's obvious you guys are from Cookeville. Calling people names? Come on, be civilized. Why would I be jealous of Cookeville? White Co. has dominated over the years. White Co. won the District 9 years in a row 1989-1997. During that span Cookeville girls went about 0-25 against White Co. I guess you think Cookeville would beat White Co. and Riverdale without Taylor and Reed? Think again.

Beatings??? If you watched both games you know both could have went either way. Cookeville would still be a good team without Reed, but they would not be a really good team like they are now. No way they would beat Riverdale or White County without Reed{maybe not Oakland either}. They would be too one dimensional with Taylor then. They can thank their lucky stars for Reed.

Oakland is still the best in the District.

I'd say Horton will be high scorer for Riverdale. She usually is. I would also say that Cookeville should be thankful for their transfer{Reed}. If it were not for her they would be 3rd or 4th in the District.

White Co. held an opponent to 30 points or less tonight for the 6th time this year. Keep up the GREAT defense girls!!!
