  1. I really don't believe Meredith has a good chance. He really isn't that great of a wrestle. He dosen't seem to have that many moves. All in All...he's pretty much an average wrestle!
  2. Some of the best courses in TN are located in the Chattanooga area. For example, we have Chattanooga G and CC, Lookout Mtn. G and CC, Council Fire, Signal Mountain G and CC, and Black Creek. I know that all these are private, but if you can get on them then you'll understand why many people consider them to be incredible courses. I agree that Nob North is an excellent course and it does have that Augusta feel to it. The better public courses are Windstone, Bear Trace, and Brainerd.
  3. 37421- I just recently graduated from Baylor, and if you belive that there are kids getting paid to play for our school, you are terribly mistaken. I Wrestled for six years at Baylor, and also played for the football team and on the golf team. I never saw any type of deal between the coachs/school and an athlete. It is a shame that people think that if any private school is good at a sport, they probably pay there athletes and have somehow recruited them.
  4. I was just wondering if you are talking about the trip to play golf over in Australia is the one that was offered through your high school golf program?
  5. Bosshawg...I don't really understand the point you're trying to explain.
  6. Just wanted to add another response to the question. I agree about the McCallie Invitational. It probably is one of the best tornaments in the South. It gives you a chance to go up against some of the toughest competition around. If you have a chance, you should wrestle in it!
  7. Omar was agressively charging and attacking Baylor's 215 pounder. Also, when he fell down one time, he pounded his fist in the mat and got up in furious rage and charged right back at him. Also, when he got disqualified he ran off into the hallway and closed the door. He then preceeded to scream and pound on the door. Everyone could hear him throwing a fit like some little 5 year old. I've seen a couple of disqualifications this year and each wrestler took it like a man and sat down without throwing a fit. Omar needs to grow up and respect the sport, his opponents,a dn the ref and his calls.
  8. My point wasn't really envolving ya'll two. I was replying to two other people. So, ya'll don't need to enter other people's conversations. Thanks. [Edited by HAMMATIME03 on 1-31-03 8:28A]
  9. Yea, ya'll did beat us in state... I remeber because I was on the golf team, but we did beat you head-to-head earlier on in the regular season and at region. We also beat ya'll two or three times at a couple of tornaments like the Black Creek invitational. So don't call me an idiot like I don't know what I'm talking about. I do applaud the McCallie golfers for winning state, but we didn't really that great of a week up there. And another thing, I know ya'll didn't think ya'll had it won, because wrestling is very crazy sport when it comes to scoring. You never know what could and can happen. Also, your wrestling team didn't go easy on us thinking that they had it won. Coach Connel didn't teach them that way... if he did, then that's some bad coaching. Those were some of a great wresrtlers that won in the end, so don't bad moutn thme either. [Edited by HAMMATIME03 on 1-29-03 11:06A] [Edited by HAMMATIME03 on 1-29-03 11:08A]

    JV

I can relate to that question. I'm a senior now at my highschool in Chattanooga and I've been wrestling ever since 4th grade. But, only until this year did I wrestle on the Varsity squad at 171 and 189. I've wrestled over 25 varsity matches this year and it's a whole lot different than a JV match. Everything is different- the fans, the environment, the intensity, the competition, the physical aspects, the coaching, ect. It's a lot harder wrestling varsity and I haven't done as well as I did as a JV wrestler, but it is soooo worth it to wrestle Varsity- there's nothing else like it!
  11. Also another good tournament, along with the Signal Mtn., is the William Bryan on Lookout Mtn. It's held at the end of the summer in August.
  12. Hey luke. I just wanted to congradulate you and good luck. We played in couple tourneys last summer and the summer before. Hope to play with ya again. [Edited by HAMMATIME03 on 1-27-03 1:52P] [Edited by HAMMATIME03 on 1-27-03 1:52P]
  13. Luke lives in Georgia. Even if you play in Tenn., you're still ranked on where you live.

    who' the best

I would have to say that Baylor's golf team this season and over the last decade. Eventough they lost to McCallie in the state finals, the team dominated everywhere throughout the season and in the region. They had one of the best High School golfers in the nation on team: Luke List. And next year they will still have John Barnett and Seth Brandon on the team as their top 2 golfers. Coach King Ohemig is one of the best and he knows how to get the job done.
  15. replying to godawgsblue's comment: I don't appreciate your message about how you crushed us last Firday night. McCallie did win, but they didn't CRUSH Baylor. And another thing, how could you say that our gym is the worst one in the city when you probably haven't been to every schools gym in Chattanooga. Yeah, it's obvious that it's not as grand and luxurious as McCallie's, but the enviroment it creates for wrestling and basketball events is incredible. One other point, we beat ya'll in Golf also this year.... how can you say that we can only beat you in one sport a year!?!? 16. Why do you think Science Hill is so good. Every team that I've been on has beaten them in my highschool career. Two weeks ago, I pinned their 189 guy at the Greenville Invitational. Don't get me wrong, ya'll are pretty good and have good athletes, but not GODS!
  17. Well... All I have to say is that tommorow will say everything!
  18. If you think that McCallie will steam roll Baylor that easily, you haven't really done any researching. I've seen both teams wrestle and I have to say that each team has there share of really great wrestlers. But, there are a couple of darkhourses on Baylor's team that surprise plenty of McCallie's fans. Lets just wait and see what happens tommorow at 5!
