As tournament director for the 2004 Dragonfire Inv. Tourn. These are the teams committed at this point: Collierville Cordova Memphis Central West Memphis, Ark Marion, Ark Clarksville NE Olive Branch, Miss. Memphis Hamilton Byhalia, Miss Memphis Kirby We have 2 teams from Louisanna that desire to come and would like to have all teams from last year return. This is a 16 team tournament. It will be held Dec. 27-30. 4 days, 4 game guarentee. You can reply to this post if you are interested.

Nothing against Bartlett, and they do have the advantage of brackett, but I think Cordova or Dyersburg will get them in the second round. With Bolton and Jackson Northside in same side, I believe that 15AAA and 16AAA will each have a rep in the state tournament.

Looking gonna schedule it tonight at the Surbuban lodge in Nashvegas.....Where we stayed at sub-state.....

i need a roommate for the state tournament...We didn't make it. nothing kinky.. Just 4 great days of basketball. Will probably stay in south nashvegas or Brentwood area.

Houston- Bartlett was early. It is hard to beat a team 3 times if they are close. Bartlett - Bolton is an example of that. Houston - Ridgeway will see that tonight. Whitestation and Ridgeway boys also. I believe Northside has proven it can handle 14AAA so 14 AAA's second place team can't play with Craigmont. Houston or Kirby with a healthy Willis can beat Northside. This is just my opinion from the outside looking in. I would love to have the chance to still be playing....18-60fg and 11-22 ft and lose by one. that stinks eggs.

Sorry, the reply is late. Yesterday I had to have a puke bag, really not just a comment. Craigmont for sure, then Central, Houston, Bolton or jackson Northside. You have to make lay-ups to win and we didn't.

Carmel I think Coach T needs to advertise in Memphis and Shelby county...

There is not much difference in the top 6 teams. Kirby would be a clear favorite with a healthy Willis, but she is still at about 70%. Ridgeway is the prime upset candidate at the 3rd seed vs White Station. Collierville Wooddale is a toss-up. Houston and Kirby have easy 1st round games. The second round will be a cat fight with all 4 teams wanting to play anyone but Craigmont in the opening round of region.

Houston can make it.

Everything Carmel says is true on this point. From the outside looking in she has matured and lost the attitude she had when she was younger. Over the past 20 years there have been 3 girls from west Tennessee that deserved Miss Basketball, and Latoya is the 3rd. The other 2 McCray and Shields. latoya may be the best of the 3....
