  1. LOL. My bad, man, I didn't know. I didn't mean for it to sound like I was mad...just askin. By the way, are you a former CC qb?
  2. To get to Bell's stay on Main Street until you go past Freed-Hardeman and come up on a four-way stop (you should pass 2 traffic lights). At the 3 of the 4 corners of the four-way stop there will be gas stations. Turn left and Bell's will be a very short drive down that road (can't remember the name). The sign's not really big so keep a close eye out. Supposedly, they have "the best burgers this side of heaven." And it's not a drive-in, at least not what I think of as a drive-in; you go in to order and eat. TheBoredGuy, thanks for the compliments, and the same can be said for the CC fans. (Don't judge us by our big-mouthed fans, every team has them.)
  3. HAHA I've done that all week, dcw. I'm ready for some football now.
  4. As far as I know, Jamison isn't playing collegiate ball anywhere, and Patrick Willis is playing LB and special teams not RB. I saw him on the punt team when Ole Miss played Memphis, he's #39. And to answer your question, I don't really think Orey is gonna be nearly as good as his two most recent predecessors. He lacks the size of Patrick, but may have a little bit more speed. Give him time to mature though, I think he's only a sophomore or so. He'll pick up the slack as he gains experience.
  5. Primetime and Showtime were the nicknames Porter and Bell started calling each other by as sophomores. Then last year, as juniors, they went overboard with it, and that arrogance is what cost them against Fairview in my opinion. In fact, I've heard that Coach Mansfield even had a talk with them about it, so they've stopped doing it this year. C'mon people you're killing me here...it's DISDAIN, and "noone" is not a word. Sorry, pet peeves. No offense.
  6. Dresden - 28 Trenton - 13
  7. Grow up and stop all the trash talking on here. That's not why I started this thread. As far as I know, there has never been any bad blood between these two schools whatsoever and there's no reason to start it now.

    Homecoming

At Huntingdon there are also dress-up days throughout the week ending with blue and gold day on Friday. The football players nominate 2 representatives for Homecoming Royalty from their grade only. The eight girls are escorted onto the field at halftime usually by either basketball players or others guys who are asked (football players not involved and winner isn't known until halftime). There is also a Homecoming Parade on Friday afternoon that ends in a pep rally on the Court Square. At the pep rally, Mr. and Miss HHS are announced (chosen from 5 senior boys and 5 senior girls nominated by seniors but chosen by student body). Each class always builds a float, too. Floats are usually built on fairly large trailers; there is usually a lot of time put into them and they can be pretty elaborate sometimes. Do other many schools do that? The cheerleaders always have a Homecoming dance they do on the field before the game.
  9. trulyhuge1, that was a good analysis, but I have to disagree with you on one point. I don't think either team has an advantage when it comes to determination, heart, hunger, and desire. Let me explain. I do believe that the Eagles posses all of those attributes becuase they've, "won more games this season than the last 20 years combined," as one of my Chester Co. friends put it (yes, i know he was exaggerating). But don't forget what happened to the Mustangs in the first round last year. In my opinion, they are as hungry as ever after not showing up in the first round, and remember most of the seniors started all of last year as juniors. The way I see it, they're on a mission to prove that it was a fluke. Supastar24, you are the only one I can think of that has predicted a W for Chester Co., care to elaborate on that prognostication? (That's not sarcasm, I really want to know.)
  10. Yeah, it's Milan by at least 6 TDs.
  11. baseballfever13, if you're from Huntingdon, you need to stop acting like a punk, because that's not how we do it. westtn2004state, don't forget that Huntingdon has won two of the last three regular season home games v. Milan.
  12. I couldn't have said it any better.
  13. I just heard a short time ago that Mckenzie's super soph. QB has injured his knee, possibly a torn ACL. Is there any truth to this or is the rumor mill working overtime?
  14. BigH_Outlaw, it may be a lot higher than 21-7, I don't know. I'm basing my opinion of Chester Co. solely on what members of this message board have posted. That may be a mistake, but I do think that the Eagles are improved. Stangfan also makes a valid point: Chester Co. is a lot more confident about this game than they ever have been before. However, according to the way everyone has responded to this thread, maybe sls' 42-7 prediction is more legitimate. TheBoredGuy, I guess you're right about the two teams only playing twice. I don't why I thought it was three or four. Seems like realignment was a longer ago for some reason.
  15. Since these two teams started playing in the same region after realignment 4 or 5 years ago, the Mustangs have blown the Eagles out every year. In fact, the game was probably decided at halftime in each case. This year, however, the Eagles are flying high after a 3-0 start; the Mustangs also enter undefeated. I don't expect this game to be a blowout, but how close do you think it will be? My prediction: Huntingdon - 21 Chester Co. - 07
  16. Let's not forget that the last TD of the game was scored after a blocked punt wasn't it? Huntingdon was only 15, maybe 20 yards out. I don't quite see that as running the score up or padding stats.
  17. I wish I could've seen the beginning of that Riverdale game; that sounds really cool. And I also agree that playing was the right thing to do.

    Union City

did barnes really retire? i haven't heard that.
  19. I was getting ready to say the same thing, Mosh. Give the Primetime and Showtime stuff a rest. BigH_Outlaw and rumley, you're giving off the wrong impressions. We don't want a persona of arrogance in Huntingdon. I know you probably didn't mean for your posts to be taken that way, but that's how they come across. Try to be more humble in your posts and you'll be given much more respect.
  20. i'll have to admit, there's been little if any trash talk done by mckenzie on here this season, and i haven't seen or heard tell of a shirt that talks about killing huntingdon either.
  21. i'm thinking jcm by less than 14.
