Please forgive the Sevier Co. fans, they are still under the grand dillusion that their team can beat Heritage, Powell, and Oak Ridge. It ain't goin' to happen, you purple fairies.

I have been a sports fan in East Tn for many years and I can never remember any baseball players from Sevier Co. High being any good at all. If the coach did indeed cut a good player, perhaps it is because baseball is a team sport and the player lost focus on that?? All you can talk about in Sevier Co. is your slightly above average girls b-ball team.

Have not talked with Hutchins over the weekend, but I do know that he is hoping that Rocky Riley will rejoin the staff at SD. He also has mentioned Lane Corum and Richie Wilhite as possible canidates.

Tribefan, You are more than welcome to stay with me, but you must be mistaken. I am not leaving Jeff. Co. for S-D, no matter how much Hutch begs me. A new name being mentioned around here is that of Mike Turner from CN. Would be an awesome hire if this could get done.

I am sure Coach Hutchins would like to bring seversl people with him, including the kicking guru at McMinn.

For once I agree with ballfreak. East Tn will win the AA with Seymour and AAA with either Powell or Heritage.

South-Doyle has talent and a lot of it was young if I remember correctly. I think if the right staff comes in, they have the talent to match up to DB year in and year out. But they have no tradition and not much disclipine within the program. The new AD (Clark Duncan) was the Powell coach for many years and can really be an asset to Hutchins.

Tribefan, Hutchins has withdrawn his name from the Jefferson County search and is devoting his energiy toward the monumental challenge at South-Doyle. I talked with him at the Maryville-Jeff. Co. b-ball game. As for the front runner,I hear Chuck King and a couple of names from out of state. These guys are like Don Woods, looking to double dip in the retirement pool. McMillian's name is not mentioned in my circle, but I have not spoken with the big dogs lately. By naming a coach in mid-March, Jeff. Co. has already lost out on a couple of coaches and may lose more. We need to make a decision and go. We are getting behind.

Scooter Houston at Jefferson County has run sub 50 the past two seasons and has only gotten stronger. If he can get focused, he should run under 48.

As usual, EastTnGuru does not have any facts but pretends to know all when he posts. First of all, just because he does not have an instant staff does not mean he is having trouble. As a matter of fact, he is interviewing coaches daily and is going to make an educated, informed decision. Something you might consider before posting rumor and falsehoods.

I think it is Tyler brown from Jeff. Co. not Troy. I vote for Parker Clement just because I have seen him play at a consistant level all year.

With Richie Wilhite at the helm, I think the Sevier Co. Bears may be a darkhorse in their district. He is young, eager, and has some talent. Good luck to Coach Richie.

Redupset, Why would McMillian be a leading canidate for the Jeff. Co. job. Does he have ties to the county? And why would a cheerleading article about his wife imply why Hutchins needs to move back home? I would assume that his wife expecting their first child would be more of a reason.

Juliet, Shelbyville and others in the middle TN area are playing far superior competition than the "mighty" Bearettes. Then since your so high on middle tennesee who might shelbyville have played since christmas, that is far superior compertition. Both teams have played Wilson Central, who is ranked.

Both of these teams have improved greatly throughout this season. Greenville may be the best team in East TN north of Cleveland. I say G-ville by 12+

I do not smoke, thank you. You keep bringing up what happened before you lost the two games. Your team has a very fragile confidence now, not the same as back then. As for Shelbyville, the only thing I said was that you cannot compare them to Knox West. Even through your purple shaded glasses you must realize this. You can think all you want, your girls will not mack it out of the region.

Maryland has a higher minority population than TN, plus Maryland is the only DI school worth a crap in football in the area. Not a good comparison, nor is Clemson.

What is truely idiotic is your statement about your competition not being able to beat po dunk little league. You made my point for me, you moron. My point is that when SC runs into good competition, post-Christmas time, they get beat. As for if so-so gets hot, any team can beat anyone.

Beating nobodies puts you in a national poll? Any reference to Shelbyville and West being close is obsurd.

The amount of money for facilities and coaches is so out of whack here in TN it is not even funny. I really think funding has a lot to do with it, but I also think population has more to do with it. Look at the number of DI athletes coming from GA, FL, and CA. These states have a significant advantage in population, especially minorities. TN will never produce the amount of athletes the state schools need to compete. One here,another there maybe. But you cannot argue the success UT has had. If UT or MTSU limits its recruiting to TN, they both will become Vandy.
