Where is the big lineman looking at for College?

Majors from Maplewood is a potential D1 prospect. Will he have the gpa/act to get into an SEC school? Their HC played with Muschamp @ Georgia so maybe Auburn will offer Majors. Any Maplewood folks out there with any info? We hear about Chris Donald and Walker (Huntington and Christian Brothers) but what about Majors. Are those two guys that much better or are they both qualifiers and Majors isn't?

How far will Mo West go in the playoffs? Do they have a good chance of beating Maryville or Red Bank?

Morristown-West has the best in the 4A (Watkins)

I am going with Hillwood in a squeeker. Hillwood probably has the best kicker in the midstate imo. I haven't seen him get much action but Friday might be his big opportunity. Glencliff may have the best Metro WR in Young and Hillwood doesn't have a Champ Bailey that I know of to defend him. If the toppers can eliminate Young's big play potential, I like their chances to win their only game of the year. Go Toppers

The Semi-final game will be in Memphis this year. Maplewood or whoever makes it the the semi's will have to play it in Memphis with the winner potentially playing Maryville for the Gold Ball. When was the last time the panthers played for the Gold Ball?

Hilltopper could talk the talk. Unfortunately, he was only one of a few who could make the routine tackle. Hilltopper's pride has gotten the better of him on this one. Like the old saying goes....... You can't make chicken salad out of chicken ? Somewhere down the line you need some darn chickens. Hillwood will have a few more chickens to play with in 07. Lighten up Hilltopper, the 12-1 season was a pretty special year. Don't discredit the hard work you guys put into that season.

Hillwood should be a playoff team in 07 if the kids in school come out to play. Baskin is a hard worker and the toppers could be 6-4 with a 4th place region finish in 07 imo. They have a good group of Juniors this year. Maybe they will be able to play their home games at home next year. Go toppers, win em all but 1....

Did Coach Coutras coach at Hillsboro before Overton? Maybe the Shadow knows? I would say Coutras is up there with the best imo. Phil Grammer is in the Metro coaches Hall of fame as well.....

Coach Baskin deserves a pass for this year and he will need one as the Toppers will struggle to win 2 games at the most imo. That will be 1 win better than last year. They have a good group of Juniors which will give them a chance at the Playoffs in 07. They will have Spring practice for the first time in 3 years in 07 which can only help. Hillwood went 9-2, 12-1 & 1-9 the last 3 years. 22 wins in 3 years is not bad for a Nashville Metro Football program. Watch out for Junior reciever Brandon Harris, he is the real deal. Holt is the truth but he did not do it by himself. The Panther defense has been solid with D. Armstrong's coaching the last 2 or 3 years

Hey Boski, Tell us schools that are interested in T Holt. He is the #1 back in the Mid-State in 06 and a great student. A quality year by the Panters would get him some good attention. Any Panthers out there that know where he is looking?

Hillsboro will be in the playoffs in 07, and 08 . The reign will continue imo. Open enrollment means that all the best middle school players will still choose to attend the best Nashville Public School (Academically and Athletically) I believe Hillsboro Principal Lawson and Coach Blade have put together a fine staff

I know that a Coach from Maplewood turned me in for recruiting Deaunte Mason (QB Pearl Cohn) . Mason was not recruited by me but played for me and coach Smith in the 7th and 8th grade at Gra-Mar. I have seen Mason do well for Pearl Cohn but I did not hear of Maplewood turning in Pearl. Ralph , why do you continually disrespect Gra-Mar and the success the 3 coaches have had there? Komisar, Smith, and Cannon? I know for a fact that you recruited Montez Buggs from Hillwood during summer school and it worked for you. Believe it or not , I did not turn you in to the board because i honestly care about the seniors and juniors on your team because I already won a championship with them 4 years ago. I guess coaching matters at every other level of football with the exception of Middle School.

What do you know about the current wrestling coach/program at Hillwood (2005-06) to make such a claim?

The Open-Zoning should help them be successful along with possibly the best Midstate QB returning in D Mason . A Magnet School with an open enrollment opportunity sound a little contradictory to me. Good luck to the Birds
