  3. OK, so which is it? SM is OVER rated? or Sp is THAT GOOD!!!!!!!!!!
  4. That's a good point, although I disagree. I know several men and women who have been a head coach and an administrator.
  5. Yes, that is the one, his dad is AD at Bryan.
  6. I hear Maryville has an open date for SP!!!!!!!! The two undefeated teams in the State, Winner Take all in Week 0!
  7. In my opinion, Coach Green should have been allowed by the school board and superintendent to be both Principal and Head Coach. Coach Green brought Stability and state playoffs to the Whitwell Program. I say LET HIM COACH! None of this would be an issue and we would not be having this conversation if they would have allowed Coach Green to remain as Head Coach.
  8. Are we 100% sure that Coach Montgomery is going to Dade Co? Talking to a Dade County assistant yesterday, he was unaware that Coach Montgomery had joined the program.
  9. So who is in line for the Coaching position? Who are the top candidates? Could Coach Zensen coach both girls and boys teams next year? He is an outstanding coach.
  10. I agree, emotion is on Grundy side for this game and inspired ball will be played by the jackets. May God bless Pic and his family and these young men as they start a year that they will remember for the rest of there lives. I am going to say that this will be a low scoring game, Grundy 18 Whitwell 8
  11. Since I dont know anything, I will shut-up... LOL yOU guys are hilarious!!!! I love these message BOARDS!!!
  12. Exactly the point!!! Red Boiling Springs has had a program for DECADES!!!! They know what they are into and those young men know what to expect because they have played those teams for YEARS!!!! Temple has NOT!!! Temple players, coaches, and administrators are way over there head. Have you ever been to a Temple game? Did you see how pitiful Temple looked against St. Andrews? Temple was man handled by ST. ANDREWS!!!!!!!!! I am telling you, the young men at Temple are in danger. Plus, you named three schools that beat you on offense and finesse. Lookout Valley and South Pittsburg beats you by POUNDING the ball offensively and defensively.
  13. It saddens me to see the tribulations that these young players and parents are having to go through as Temple strives to move forward and forget the past. I understand the ramifications of having to cancel games. However, if it means the safety of these young men, shouldn't Temple have thought about either canceling the schedule this year or playing a JV schedule this year? I will be honest...I fear for the safety of these young men when they play the likes of South Pittsburg and Lookout Valley. These young men are in grave danger playing against these two teams. Temple should have known what they were getting into four years ago when they started football, and yes the gentleman earlier that stated Temple did the right thing to Start a program playing only a JV schedule was correct. HOWEVER, Temple did well starting a TEAM but has done a horrible job starting a program. It is one thing to start a team, it is an entire different matter when it come to sustaining a program. Yes, they have a Region title, but at what cost? Is the cost of a Region Title worth getting a bunch of young men hurt this year due to the ignorance of the past administration and coaches? I am pleading with the Temple administration, do WHAT is in the best interest of these young men and do not risk their future for saying you have a team.
  14. Indian, you and I haven't seen eye to eye on anything for the past five years. However, I do think you have a valid point. However, you are telling me you would disallow parents to come to a game because of one incident and NO one was HIT! These parents did not BREAK the law. They got upset about a situation that occured. Again, you were not there and most everybody who has commented has started off with the words "I HEARD". Hard to give an opinion if you didn't see the STORY! These are good parents who have been very supportive of their children and the school.
  15. OBVIOUSLY, Hats off to BOTH teams and coaches for a game well played last night. From what I've heard, it was a hard-fought match and neither team ever gave up or gave in. I understand everyone's entitled to an opinion but I don't understand how any school official can allow fans to attack coaches, players, or anyone else associated with a sporting event or school activity and NOT ban them from attendance. How many times, in recent years, have we read about people asssociated with sporting events being hurt or even killed by an irate parent or fan? In my eyes, they're all just condoning such behavior when they try to overlook it or make excuses for it (for ANY reason). I honestly can't see why the home-team school officials didn't have the guy escorted out immediately and banned from school property. Would they look at it the same if a coach went up into the stands and attacked a fan? I'd venture to say he'd be looking for a new job today (and have a hard time finding one). Players, coaches, other fans, or anybody else for that matter, could get hurt in an altercation and open up a whole batch of lawsuits against a school system and/or their officials. Every fan should be required to act in a dignified manner at all times. Let the people know you won't tolerate such behavior from anyone and let the kids be proud of their schools and their fans and enjoy their sports. The school officials are just as guilty by not punishing the people who behave in such a manner. By making excuses or overlooking it, they give the appearance that they approve of it and only help to promote more of it in the future. Once again, just my opinion Obviously by your quote you were not at the game and you are way out of line discussing what administration did not do, because you were NOT there! If you were there, then you know the Atletic Director and Principal handled the situation quickly, peace was restored and the people involved were escorted out of the GYM.
  16. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. If you are close to the situation then you understand what happened last night. It doesn't make it right, but you understand. Hats off to Coach Zensen and the Lady Tigers for giving all they got. You don't get any more classy than Coach Zensen, Coach Ware, and the Lady Tigers. They have charcter and they will be ready for the Lady Pirates next Friday night. Lady Tigers, you were impressive last night and you never gave up. You made Whitwell proud and we back you all the way!
  17. No, Smith did not play agains FC. He did play last night against SCHS. He played more of a wing than PG. #3 played the point.
  18. The following is my quote from last week when silverrecruite played LV. I still think it applies. By the way, rumor has it that TSSAA has already been notified about Silverrecruite and an investigation has begun. You know, we would not even talk about Silverrecruite if they were playing in Division II with Brainerd Academy. Hats off to Brainerd Academy for playing by the rules. "Coach Allen coaches, he is not a miracle worker, a recruiter, yes, but not a miracle worker. He's a good coach, don't get me wrong, but you can't expect him to work miracles or he would be coaching at a Church of God school, not Baptist. Unless some new players just enrolled in that school, maybe transferring from Bradley or LFO, Silver aint got a "prayer". Sequatchie WINS!
