Are you refering to the small but very active lb that played for Oakdale last year? And if you are, where is he moving on to, I thought he was an underclassman?

I'm just wondering if this is Satterfields way of retiring from the TCRS and double-dipping with a rocking chair job? The second option is, did Grace seek out Satterfield in an attempt to surpass CAK and be the CPA or BGA of the Knoxville area for the next four years before they get booted out of the publics into Div. II? Third option, he got struck by a bolt of lightening like Sgt. York and got the "using kind of religion" (quote Walter Brennen as Pastor Pyle) and if he did, we won't have to worry about using his reputation and prowess as a great coach to recruit the best Baptist boys Knoxville has to offer in order to accomplish the 2nd option. lol..............tongue in cheek...........etc......etc......

Eligibility has nothing to do with working out with the weights. TSSAA rules state that weight room workouts must be open to others enrolled in school and not just exclusive to the football team, eligible or not. If their workouts are closed to anyone not on the team they may be in violation unless there is non-pads football practice attached to it.

The fact that Cocke Co. is a just run-of-the-mill as 4A teams in East Tenn. go and Halls is a rebuilding team with a new head coach doesn't give a fair assessment as to how the Ccougars will stack up in their region this fall. Need input from volviking or CCMAN84 as to where they stand in comparison to last year and where they might finish this year in the region standings......... thumb Come on guys, get off the couch and get the ball rolling!!!!!!!!!!!!

With Lamberts' 50 defense, it was the noseman rather than the two traditional 40 tackles on defense. As usual it was the fullback on offense.

Oneida and Jellico held a duel practice/situation scrimmage at Jellico Tues. may 17th, under the two new head coaches each team has. As usual Oneida showed their long standing tradition of quality 1-A playing ability with about 12 seniors. Jellico after a couple or three dismal seasons showed some sparks of strength and life. The final analysis - Oneida looks to be very good in Region 2-A and Jellico looks to improve to the point that they make the playoffs in Region 1-A without it being a one win default this year.

Bump and ditto on who they are or might scrimmage????????????????????

In 1-A, Jellico will play Williamsburg, KY, a team that went to the state semifinals in KY last year.

Third off, learn how to spell or type, one or the other. Fourthly, they (T$$AA)don't have a classification system with region schedules and Blount County doesn't require in-county games for nothing. $$$$$$$$$$ and tradition!!!!!!!!!!!

First off I'm not a Maryville Rebel nor am I from Blount Co. so my reply is not in the heat of defending "my team". buttttttttt........ This is one of the most childish and obviously high schoolish oriented posts I've read since the boards closed in December. (you get this stuff with the freebies) The Rebels are 4A and have a full slate with region play and the intercounty rivalries that are seemingly very important in Blount Co. This years Maryville/Alcoa game is shaping up to be THE premier game in the state as regular season nonconference games go. It just doesn't make sense to play a 5A school just to satisfy the curiosity of a few adult fans or satisfy some high schooler who wants a little pay back if he got his butt kicked in a pre-season scrimmage and is jealous of their post season championship vs a 2nd or 3rd round knock-out of his team.

I really hate to disagree with you on this one, but PUBLIC schools are run by the PUBLIC throught the democratic process of voting and any school authority or school board that keeps the names of prospective employees private from any concerned citizen or group of citizens is violating the laws of public disclosure.
