I am going to go out on a limb and say that Lewis County will blow Perry County out. This is easily the worst team I have seen come from Perry County, and this goes back a very limited time of about 10 years. As for the tallest player on PC, he is about 6'2 I would guess, maybe 6'3. Now about the blowout in past years, I would like to know what the all time record for this supposedly out of district, out of region, and out of classification rivalry is. I would also make the assumption that PC has went years with blowing out Lewis, as well as Lewis blowing out Perry as well.

I see Collinwood winning it. With Summertown taking fourth, there is a good possibility for a sweep. Wouldn't be surprised with three teams from 12-A in the second round, though. Should be fun to watch all of the games at the same gym, oh wait that can't happen now can it. Can someone explain why they changed the format of the first round. It is always enjoyable to go to a neurtral court and watch as many games as possible for my five or six dollars. If it does have anything to do with gym size, well use a bigger court. I am sure that there is a decent gym in Columbia to hold the region in. Columbia is also very centrally located and would help all of the traveling. They must want everybody to waste gas money and travel every which away. It's ridiculous.

So, when does Perry County travel to Moore County. Now Moore girls travel to Perry as well. Why did they change the old format around.

For the first seven minutes I was wondering if the Lady Vikings were going to show up. Their youth really showed at the first of the game, but after the 19-0 start their wasn't much more seperation from 20 points. Well maybe they will play like they are capable of the next go around.

Summertown comes to Perry County Tuesday night which should be a good game. I give the edge to Perry County with home court advantage and the recent turmoil within Summertown. Wanted to know what others thought about this showdown for second in the district.

As far as it is concerned this was the first meeting during the season. The question was about a prediction on who would end up on top. As of right now, yea Collinwood is on top, but I expect it to be too difficult for them to go into Summertown and win, along with a slip up along the way. However, it is basketball and with high school especially, you never know when one could have a let down.

The district has more parity than I have seen in a while. We have some games to play and figure out how it looks for the first half of the season. Collinwood at Summertown will be a big game for both. For first place would be one to start and can Collinwood show that they can go into a hostile environment with so much on the line and play big. As for the next spots your guess is as good as any. Mt. Pleasant has a decent team, Clifton isn't as far behind as previous years, Zion is always in a game with Cass, and PC is inexperienced and will grow over the year in order to contend with the others. All in All it will be another great year of D12 basketball. My prediction would fall like this: (1) Summertown- I believe they will come back strong and beat Collinwood the next time. (2) Collinwood- The win over Summertown was big, but they will stumble to another team in the district. (3) Mt. Pleasant- They are good enough to hold on to this spot with the potential to be a spoiler. (4)Perry County- Yes I know they have started off rough, but they have shown some good playing at times, and their inexperiance at others. They will only grow. (5) Zion- They will go as far as Cass can take them (6) Clifton- They can be in a lot of ball games by coaching. (7) Wayne- Lost a lot of talent, and a lot of games, but you can never count them out. I believe that most of the problem starts from the parents and coaches, as well as society on a few problems. These kids get so much hype and pressure from the society, that if they foul or make a bad decision they like to blame the refs rather than themselves. Parents are so disrespectful to the other teams, refs, and even the coaches because their son or daughter is the best on the floor and should get to play more. My kid never does anything wrong on the floor, the other team never makes a good play in a ball game. Coaches have lost control on a lot of circumstances, but influence good sportsmanship for some of their players. I believe the problem is an inevitable problem for the future, we can only watch in dismay.

There were far too many fouls and charges called. Zion stayed in the double bonus, for practically the whole game. That was the most charges I have ever seen called in a game.

I agree that the refs were bad in this game and they have been that way all year long. PC usually ends up in foul trouble every game though and the refs were even worst in the boys game. I have never seen so many charges called in a game before.

I believe it's going to be in PC this year, but I could have heard wrong.

There is a reason why there is a home side and an away side. Please people, remember good sportsmanship.

Mt Pleasant and Summertown are two good teams with good coaches, but i dont think they're very disciplined. I would say they tend to both take bad shots, but mt pleasant shoots alot of layups. Summertown, however, tends to shoot some bad shots. With this being at Summertown I give the edge to the Eagles at home cause its hard to play there and mt pleasant barely won in mt pleasant. I say Summertown in a very good game by 2.

I think that Perry may end up waking up and realize that they need to play to their potential and win. But if they play like that have for most of the year, they will probably end up getting ran out by a very good Summertown team and a better coached one at that.

I believe that Wayne will end up winning the district, it seems that mt pleasant just doesnt come ready in the tournaments and will end up losing to Wayne in the District Championship. Perry and Summertown always come ready to play and will end up playing for 3rd and 4th instead of CA and SF.

This girl plays her heart out each night. She deserves it.

Perry County girls made it to the final four last year, can they do it again? Does the absence of last year's seniors matter? Can Edney and Weatherly do it all? What's the opinion of the people?

My bad, you are right. I know A.Dabbs will show up, but K.Dabbs on the ohter hand, is iffy. She looks scared out there. What ever happened to Mann? She's a pretty big girl. Has she played at all this year?

Edney is a very talented player and one of the best, but she's not the only one on the team. D Qualls, Rhodes,Leegan, are also great ball players. These girls aren't afraid to step up. Even without Weatherly, I believe that PC will win.

Even though Lee is an idiot, ya'll know if it was you in PC situation, ya'll would have done the same.
