  1. It really doesnt look like Maryville is having much problem moving the ball. Im afraid Smyrna has the problem goodpasture did on the front line. They're big....really big....but nonathletic.
  2. You do realize that most of this (90%) is just people egging others on. You really think as an Alcoa fan I care about Maryville, Smyrna, Greeneville or the 6a/4a state championship games? No....I just like getting under people's skin and ya know what? It works every time!
  3. I dont even see how Trezevant even got here. Greeneville is one of the top 5/10 teams in the state but dear God how bad does 4A have to be for Trezevant to get to the state title game.
  4. Im not even going to mention "the other team". By far the most classless team Ive seen in all my years.
  5. You dont think that this years Alcoa team couldnt obliterate that record? They were 1 point from 700 points this season. Alcoa for the past 5 years had reserves in before the 4th quarter in most "blowout" games. And now they taunt the other team after they constantly hit them with late hits....Again.....stay classy
  6. Sometimes class and sportsmanship mean more then records. Alcoa could go out and hang 90 in just about every game they play. Doesnt mean they're going to do it. (At least not with Rankin as coach)
  7. Running up scores on teams you already had beat!!!! WOOOOOO
  8. 2 Classy teams. 1 team has a player that gets up swinging after a hit and the other team goes for 2 after they've already got the game well well in hand. Stay Classy guys....stay classy.
  9. Doesnt matter. Alcoa is a 3A school and nothing is going to change that.
  10. No apology needed. Alcoa knows who played them best as does CAK. Not to mention CAK is a classy program that shows nothing but respect. You're one rivalry team that will be hard to "not like".
  11. We have an amazing coaching staff. While Im the first one to come to my Head Coaches defense because of what he's taught me on and off the field, I would have loved to have Nix,Duncan,Gossett(sp?) and Rankin on my coaching staff back when I played. Talking to Duncan Thursday Night, the coaching staff feels the future is still very promising with the Tornadoes. These men are doing everything right with our boys.
  12. This year's CAK team is the best 3A/2A team Alcoa has played since 04 Huntingdon. Sorry if that's not what you want to hear but Ive been to every game and the only 2 games I feared were 04 Huntingdon and CAK.
  13. Not too sure about 7-10 as I havent seen most of them play. 1-6 looks great though and I question if Howard should actually be in the top 10. To me the one time they I saw them they didnt look impressive at all and not just because they were playing Alcoa.
  14. What will hurt Alcoa the most is it doesnt appear they will have a bruiser back like Tyson and Warren are. Either #44, #25 or #21 will have to step up to fill that role. #6 and #81 will probably be your go to guys in the WR position. I think we're up for a great off season battle for the QB position. #3 has controlled the 2nd string and JV offense all year long and looks prime to take over. He's also more of the "type" of QB Alcoa uses in their system. A few eyes will be on #17 as well. The key for him this off season is to get bigger. #3 has the legs/mobility but #17 has the arm and field presence. One key will be if #3 can stay healthy. He's done well so far but has missed time do to injury in the past few years. Some have mentioned if he could hold up physically to the pounding like #16 took this year. I expect the D to be solid as well as the offensive line. They may or may not be "up to par" to this year but they'll def be ready to play on friday nights. Alcoa can easily go 4-6 next year with 5 tough non district games and CAK. They can also easily go 15-0 and take another trip to Cookeville for 8 in a row. We're going to find out if these F5's are ready to cement their name in history or not!!!
  15. A Christmas Carol for all..... Tornado Touchdowns, Alcoa Touchdowns Scoring Touchdowns in style In the air There's a feeling of winning Tyson trucking Tallent passing Warren runs for a mile and on every street corner you'll hear Silver Balls, Silver Balls You lost again to the Tornadoes Give him six, Castro kicks We are the Kings of 3A String of Touchdowns Even winning streaks Flashes of Maroon and Grey Even Maryville couldn't handle our play Hear your bones crunch Feel your head crush This is Nix's big scene And above all this pain You'll hear Silver Balls, Silver Balls You lost again to the Tornadoes Give him six, Castro kicks We are the Kings of 3A
  16. This is going to come off rude, as most of my posts do in the morning cause Im kinda like that McDonalds Coffee dude....but that is the dumbest argument of all time right there. Did you really think in 2002 teams like Oliver Springs and Sweetwater were like "Oh mean we beat Alcoa, they wont state 2 years ago and were in the Semi Finals" well yea maybe they were but you know how many players off those 2 teams were still there? Maybe 5 and none were starters. Seriously you cant say "oh we beat so and so that was good last year" because it was LAST FREAKING YEAR!
  17. Ill jump in and just briefly say that I was disappointed to see that same ref from the Maryville game running up and down the Alcoa sidelines. I lost count of how many calls he missed on BOTH sides of the balls. Numerous times a Pass Interference on Alcoa could be called or Holding on CAK could have been called, something that if he's watching the game he can see. Its just a sad case. Either way his suckness was equal between both teams and I dont think it affected the outcome. Now that rant is over, anyone know whos up in the first round for Alcoa and CAK? I know it was thought to be Sweetwater for Alcoa before their loss last night. Are the Wildcats still a playoff team? We're not getting the Chiefs as it appears they're heading up north. Any ideas?
  18. 1) I never stated anyone runs the score up. I said if I was the coach at Alcoa they would have the record because I would run the score up. I have the Steve Spurrier mentality. "It's my job to score. It's your job to stop me." 2)Greeneville might have a very good football team. However, I question their academic credentials. A period will go a long way in separating your sentences.
  19. Just for the record, If I was Alcoa's coach in the past 5-6 years Alcoa would have the record for most points scored in a game and Season. Im just kinda a prick like that though. I run the scores up and never pull starters
  20. How many points did Maryville drop back in like 03? Wasnt it a round 600? I know its not the record but just something I got curious about reading this.
  21. I hope this is true. Alcoa vs Sweetwater wont be much of a game Im willing to bet but there is just some things that are right. The rivalry between Alcoa and Sweetwater was the big game. So much on the line for so many years, shame it had to stop.
  22. Correction!!!! CAK HAS beaten Alcoa in football AND in a State Championship year. Of course it was way back in like 2000 and it was the JV team....or was that TSD? Either way we freaking lost.
