  1. I hate to say it, but high school football is over for Rockwood until next year. Well Tigers, the worst seemed to have come. Looked like revenge coming, but obviously not. But like Magicrooster said, keep your heads up! You had a great season with some awesome seniors that we will be losing. The good thing you can say is you lost to one team, but the bad thing you can say is you lost to them twice. But anyway, the Tigers did great this year and I am very proud. I'm so glad to be a Rockwood Tiger fan! So Congrads and good luck in the up-coming basketball season, and hopefully we can make it past the 1st round at the 'Boro in March. Oh, btw, it would figure that the ones talking the most trash would come back on here and start being all goody goody like they never said anything. Hmm. Oh well. Just typical trash talkers. Anyways, good luck to Alcoa in the Semi's and good luck to the seniors in Rockwood in their futures.
  2. Hmm... I wonder why... maybe because we post on threads that have to do with the team we are playing that week? And for the record, nobody ever said we were gonna "kill" Alcoa. And for another record, there is a big difference between a thread and a board. Yes Rockwood will always be on this board and we will be on this thread for 2 or 3 more posts congradulating the team that wins. Which by the way, we (Rockwood) probably wont be seeing any Alcoa fans, well the stuck up ones that I'm not mentioning, on here congradulating Rockwood. Anyways, once again, good luck to both teams.
  3. Exactly! This is what you people do not understand. You all keep bringing up " Oh Rockwood doesnt play any good teams except Alcoa and they got blasted by them and Rockwood dont play teams like Maryville." How long ago was Alcoa vs. Maryville? Week 2 or 3? But yet just because Maryville is a 4A team, they are being brought up for every excuse. Everybody on this thread knows the people that do have class and the ones the dont have class. I'm not mentioning any names, but most of the are on Alcoa's side, making Alcoa look like stuck-up team and get way ahead of theirselves. I'm not calling Alcoa that by-far, I'm just saying most of the Alcoa fans on this thread make the team look that way. Heard some talk, very possible that the coaches are letting Moffitt play Friday. So that is very good news for Rockwood. Tigers, do good in practice for the rest of the week and be well-rested for Friday and prove these Tornadoes wrong! Go Tigers!!
  4. Yes, I need to know where to collect my $100 bucks please. You do know you will be losing a LOT of money about 10:00 on Friday night?
  5. No team should be garbage, no matter who the team is, to any other team. Doesnt matter if they are as good Alcoa. If one team thinks of another team as garbage, then that team has no sportsmanship what-so-ever. How can you make Alcoa a "royal flush" and Rockwood "a pair of 2's" when Alcoa has lost just as many games as Rockwod has? If you ask me and are all of a sudden comparing teams as poker hands, then I would say they are both evenly "straights." Enough about poker comparisons. Unlike last come-a-round, Rockwood will be coming prepared and ready to play. About Billy Moffitt, from what I have heard, he came close to breaking his ankle, if not broken, when playing against Gatlinburg-Pittman. So in a lot of people's eyes, that brings Rockwood's running team down a notch or two. Moffitt was a big part of the team, but Matt Goddard will have no problem in replacing Moffitt's shoes. Good luck to Rockwood and take it to'em boys! Go Tigers!!
  6. I think they should already know it. On G-P's side, you could tell the players that were not planning on playing.. they were wearing ponchos. I found that quite hilarious, but in all seriousness, Congrads to Rockwood and good luck to G-P in their seasons to come. Lets go for Alcoa next week with a big upset. Go Tigers!!
  7. Nice "stats" as you like to call them, but you cant compare scores from the season in the playoffs. But I'm still with you on Rockwood. I gotta go with the Tigers from Rock-Vegas. Go Tigers!
  8. Atta boy Tigers!! Tigers take the win 31-12. Rockwood seemed to struggle on the D in the 3rd and 4th quarters, but they pulled their heads together showed what they do. Congrads! Round 2, here we come!
  9. Good to know Hampton relies on one person. Potter, or whatever his name is, must be pretty good to get their team to the playoffs since it seems every Hampton person on here relies on him. But he is nothing that Alcoa cant handle. Alcoa wins BIG. Maybe the Tigers will meet ya in the 3rd round for "revenge" maybe? Pfft. yeah right. Good luck teams. Go Tigers!

Your post was not necessary. Good job Tigers
  11. I believe the Tigers can pull this one out with no problem. I think the 35-0 Alcoa game is gonna stick with the Tigers for a while. It did last week as the Tigers pulled over Meigs Co. 35-0. I think Rockwood will come out with the magic number, 35-0, over Oliver Springs. Go Tigers!
  12. I cant believe so many people are still going back and forth with this. I mean yeah I'm for Rockwood and I hope they win, but you dont see me sayin Rockwood is going to stomp a mudhole in Alcoa or vice-versa. Lets stop predicting who is gonna stomp a mudhole in who. The number of fans posting for their team over and over again isnt gonna help their team win. The only thing that helps their team win is determination. Teams settle games not posts.
  13. You say your heard "enough"..... your the one posted that last 3 posts... what makes YOU think Rockwood CANT play with Alcoa???
  14. I think this will be another one of Rockwood's field goal-winning games. I think it'll be Rockwood-17 Alcoa-14... .call me crazy but thats what I think... I believe in the Tigers and I believe they can come out with the biggest W of the season.
  15. All I can say is that the Tigers need to stay focused and not come in with a big head from Kingston, and they will more than likely pull this one out. 28-6 Tigers.
  16. How do you see Rockwood as one of the armpits of Roane County? I see them more as the Heart of Roane County more than anything. What did Rockwood do to your town that makes you think that?
  17. KTownJackets, I do agree with you on one very small part. Its a money-grabbing Amercian family. Thats the only part I agree with you on, but I got to add another small part to that. All of Kingston is about money. Just like TigersBball42 said, there is no reason to keep bragging about this, because the people supposedly giving them this "punishment," are not going to listen to what the people have to say or what they think. Its all about if Kingston can keep their players on the team to try to win a championship, which their not gonna do anyways with or without the hazers. Enough said.
  18. And what makes you think, Flashy, that Rockwood will get killed by Sweetwater this week? How do YOU know that Rockwood will be killed? Do you think the Tigers will go in with big heads because they beat Midway last week and Midway beat Sweetwater in a scimmage? Flashy, if you will please, can you tell us how you KNOW Rockwood will be killed by Sweetwater?
  19. Does anybody have the score for Rockwood's scrimmage??? Thanks
  20. I just read the Roane County paper and read Goose's article on Sonny Moore computer predictions. I thought that the predictions were somewhat believeable, but for the people that do not get the Roane County news, I have taken the pleasure of typing it out for you. “If Sonny Moore’s preseason compute ratings are any indication, then fans of Roane County’s five football teams had better by some Rolaids because there will be a lot of close games in the upcoming 2004 regular season. According to Moore’s computer, Oliver Springs will again be the top team in the county with Rockwood and Kingston nipping at the Bobcats’ heels. With that being said, let’s see just what the computer rankings say. The computer predicts that Johnson’s Bobcats will finish with a 9-1 overall record and a 4-1 mark in region play. Taking into consideration the computers three-point advantage for the home team the Bobcats (78.41 rating) will post the following victories Lenoir City (16 points), Alcoa (4 points), Midway (24 points), at Harriman (31 points), at Kingston (3 points), at Wartburg (8 points), Seymour (4 points), Rockwood (4 points), and at Sequoyah (16 points). Oliver Springs’ lone loss will be a 5 point-loss at Sweetwater in week 10 of the regular season. Rockwood will have the second best record in the county as they enter the season with a rating of 77.75. If Moore’s computer is correct, the Tigers will post the following wins: Midway (23 points), Sweetwater (1 point), at Kingston (2 points), Wartburg (13 points), Bledsoe County (32 points), at Meigs County (11 points), at Rutledge (10 points), and Harriman (36 points). Rockwood’s two losses will both come on the road in region play. Alcoa will defeat the Tigers by 3 points and Oliver Springs will beat John Webb’s squad by four points. Kingston enters the season with a 72.49 rating which is third best in the county. The Jackets, however, play in the state’s roughest Class AAA region and that plays a big part in Moore’s computer saying Kingston will finish with a 4-6 over all record and a fifth place finish in Region 2-AAA. Kingston is picked to win at Harriman (25 points), at Gibbs (13 points), at Scott (2 points) and at home against Lenoir City (10 points). Besides home losses to Rockwood (2 points) and Oliver Springs (3 points), the Jackets will also lose at home against Anderson County (12 points) and Fulton (26 points) while dropping road games at Fulton (2 points) and Austin-East (23 points). Midway is another team that needs to keep the upset stomach medicine on hand as Region 2A appears to have four teams in a dog fight for second place. The Green Waves have a rating of 57.39 while CAK (56.54), Coalfield (57.69) and Oneida (58.93) are each expected to battle it out for a home playoff game in week 11. Adding a home field advantage to the equation gives Oneida the advantage in the quartet, but Midway is still picked to finish the season with a 6-4 mark. Midway’s victories will come against Jellico (21 points), CAK (4 points), Watertown (8 points), Coalfield (2 points), at Oakdale (24 points), and at Sunbright (15 points). The Green Waves’ losses will be at Rockwood (23 points), at Oliver Springs (24 points), at Oneida (4 points) and at home against Greenback (14 points). The worst news for any team in Roane County is the computer’s prediction for Harriman. According to the numbers, Harriman will suffer a fourth straight winless season and the Devils will only have two games decided by less than two touchdowns. Moore’s computer says Harriman’s best chances at victory are at home against Oneida where the Devils will lose by 12 points and at home against Union County where the Blue Devils are a one-point underdog. Harriman’s other losses are at Sequoyah (18 points), Kingston (25 points), at Wartburg (26 points), at Coalfield (16 points), Oliver Springs (31 points), Sweetwater (33 points), at Alcoa (36 points) and at Rockwood (36 points). Although these computers rankings are fun to look at and will be good for some conversation before the season starts, remember that Sonny’s Moore’s computer cannot judge how graduation losses can hurt a team or how the pigskin will bounce on Friday nights this fall.” Remember, this was Sonny Moore's computer predictions so dont hold me personally to any of this please. Thanks.
  21. Does anybody have any updates or final score to the Rwood/Gpasture game???
  22. I think everybody is underestimating the Tigers. Rockwood has a great team and I believe they will go all the way and win their first State Titles! GO TIGERS!!
  23. Hey guys. Congrads on another big win against Harriman. I was just wondering if they have found out a time for the game and just makin' sure its at Rockwood, right?
  24. Congradulations to Rockwood! They won the championship against Harriman 6-0 I believe the score was. Congradulations again!
  25. Oliver Springs wins over Rockwood 16 - 7.
