Which schools are planning on moving up and why?

Hey ELA. Where are you now ? Last account I had , you were in the southeast Tennessee.

AMEN!!! These two were devistating hitters.

When MaconCo. can consistantly(3-5 seasons in a row) win and produce huge crowds, then maybe they deserve a new stadium, don't let one season cloud your judgement.

What type of new offense and defense is Clay Co. running this season? Why did they change? Does it have to do with personel?

I will have to disagree with the top spots 1-FCS 2-Watertown 3-G-ville 4-Monterey 5-Clay Co. 6-8 are toss ups Gordonsville will not reign as Champs, This is the year Friendship and Watertown decide the crown.

First of all I am not from RBS and neither is muffin.(just reverse my name,but I am not a MC fan either) But I will defend RBS and say that they have always played in a tough district and have never made any excuses about their losses. they always play with class. I wasn't trashing Macon Co. just only asking a question and stating a fact. Its people like you who ruin this board for those who attempt to use it as it was ment to be(as a source of info on highschool athletics.

Rumors are flying around region 4 3-a that two of Macon Co's coaches are leaving. One is a coordinator and the other is his assistant. What is happening to the mighty Tiggers? Are these two leaving for greener pastures (or is it playing fields)or is this just a rumor started by the Smith Co. faithful? Time will tell. Good luck to MC because if reclassification goes as expected , you will be playing for 5-8 place each year.

Look for Trousdale to move up to region 4-2a and White House-Heritage will move to Reg. 4-1a. Friendship Chr. and Watertown will replace them,keeping the old Region intact with the addition of Pickett Co.

Shouldn't be to hard for the Bulldogs to win this one. All they have to do is keep their concentration throughout the game and not relax too much. GO BULDOGS!!!!

Coach Brown at Macon Co. has been fired. His replacement will soon be forthcoming.

Does this mean that RBS could beat Macon, sence they beat portland 7-5 ? The MC coach better watch out, cause one coach has already been fired probably because he couldn't beat RBS.

Is there turmoil in Macon Co. Basketball? One day after boys coach,Darian Brown, was relieved of his coaching duties' a starter on the girls team quit. What is going on at MCHS. Have the coaches lost control of the program or has football's success and basketballs lack of success been too much for the coaches and players to handle. I don't think change is in order unless they start with the junior high programs. No doubt Coach Carter will rebound(haha) from this setback but sometimes when a leak starts the dam soon breaks.

Coach Brown at Macon Co. was relieved of his coaching duties on Monday. After a one win season , the administration felt there was a change needed. This is BULL@#%$!!!! He had only one senior and very few players with any major game experience. Plus he is in one of the toughest districts in the midstate. If anyone is to blame for the downturn of the boys basketball program it is the lack of proper training they receive in Junior High. Coach Brown is a good coach and a fine person. There are some players,parents and fans upset at this action and they will not let it go easily. we are behind you all the wat ,Coach.

Coach McDaniels is a very animated coach. In order to coach basketball with the officals that call this regions games, he would have to be bound and gagged to keep from getting tossed out. No doubt he would bring some intensity to the team, but coaching three varsity sports would be draining on family life as well as his personal health. If he were to be forced to give up a sport, he would probably would leave baseball behind. It does appear that Clay Co. will hire from within and Coach Mac may be the best choice.

At what age should girls begin serious weight training for athletics? Can someone recommend a good routine for a 14-15 year old?

Is RBS for real? They have defeated 2 Sumner Co. Class AA schools in their first two games in Portland and Station Camp and all of this without Heady. With this kind of start, they must be the team to chase for the district title. I supose only time and the pitching rotation will tell.

Maybe he will go to RBS to replace Coach Owens, who is coming to Macon Co. to replace Coach Brown,who could go to Clay Co. to replace Coach Edwards who will take over the Clay Co. girls, and Clarkrange could go after Coach Rochester after they close Hermitage Springs. Just a thought. :justwrestle:

Hey ELA, Who is the math teacher you are refering to? Whom ever they choose, they will have loads of talent to work with. Will either one of the Hermitage Springs current coaches be considered, especially the boys coach?

Good ole Macon Co. Baseball. They don't Rebuild or Reload they just RECRUIT!!!!!!

You are close.Trousdale may join their old region, Jo Byrns(travel in Region 4 would be a killer. Other than WH- HERT their closest would be 1:30 time ) and White House Heritage will probably go into region 5 with McEwen ,Houston Co. East Robertson(if they come down) and possibly Nashville Christisan(if the multiplier doesn't move them up).

Like Coach 15 says, Chase is the most valuable person to his team. Pickett has been winning without Bailey and I dare say Clay Co. would be just so-so without Stevens. I don't feel the MVP has to come from the 1st place team every year.

The T-N-T is an invitational tournament of schools that are members and non-members of the TMSAA. Most of these teams are from tradition rich schools that are competitive year after year. They are paired up according to the eigth grade enrollment. As for not facing the athletes, come and watch the Class 1 and 2 A teams such as Rickman, Philadelphia, Pleasant Shade, Allons, Red Boiling Springs and others. They will press, play man-D and match-up with the best of the rest.

Why did she not stay at Harpeth Hall? Did she just want to come back to Westmoreland and play with little sister next year? How do you think she can carry them to the state when she will not be able to play until this time next season?
