UC played well tonight. OC couldn't make any shots. Several missed FT's. UC may have had something to do with the bad shooting night as they challeged every shot and didn't allow OC to set their feet. What about the Westview/South Fulton game?

I saw one game this summer in which they lost to South Fulton by about 10 I believe. I thought they looked like they could care less. No much hustle or intensity. Lake Co. can beat anyone on a given night, no doubt about that. the question is will they play consistent.

Sorry for the spelling. Not a strong suit. But she is very good, unfortunately she has been injured the last 2 years and hasn't been able to display her ability.

Clay is the big girl, can be unstopable, but sometimes is just out there.

Wescharge, you left off the 2nd best player from Gleason, Phelps. No one has seen her play much due to injury but she is really good. Also Clay from Lake Co. one of the best when she wants to be. I guess your judgement is kinda off this week from having your head in the pukebags after Friday night.

Geanes is a SR. I believe but they do have some talented soph. though.

Both teams will be very good. Westview will go through an adjustment period because of the change in the defensive philosophy but they will be there come tournament time. Gleason will be as well. Who is the better player Hudson or Edney?

Anyone know how the Gleason/Westview scrimmage went? Should have been fun to watch, 2 really good teams.

Hopefully she will get back 100%. I hate seeing athletes get injured and miss time, knowing how hard they have worked even if they don't play for team I root for. How is Phelps doing I know she is coming off an injury as well.

They should be very good. Most, if not all the players did return. They have a really good coach, in Coach Stephenson. Their district is extremely tough. Gibson, Dyersburg, Obion, and Crockett as well as Westview have all been to state in the last 2 or 3 years. Should be fun and they should have a great year.

Gleason is the obvious pick but after that, I have to go with Greenfield or Lake Co., I think everyone is picking Trenton really high, yes they have Perry back, but it will be different playing when SHE is the one everyone is game planning around. Union City should be in the mix as well. They can beat anyone on a given night. Also Bradford is much improved and I think there are a couple of others that are being overlooked. We'll see.

Westview and Milan proved that UC isn't in the same class as the top of 7AA, and Huntingdon, Peabody, USJ, and probably even my Pioneers would also show you that. If you will read again it says "my Pioneers" I think that means his Pioneers.

After seeing your Pioneers last Friday I really doubt they could show UC anything but another victory for the Tornadoes. UC would beat USJ, Humboldt and Gibson, and the would be very competitive or beat Peabody and Dresden. They don't control what class they are in, just like Gibson Co. doesn't either. Gibson dropped for 3a to 2a and nobody is complaining about that.

Chris Donald is big-time D1. I think he was at knoxville last week for an unofficial.

I don't want this thread locked up either. Just tired of people bashing high school kids when they really no nothing about the situation.

I bet the people in Dresden are glad your son attends Martin as well! Parents like you only cause problems. What kind of 42 year old gets on a message board and puts down 15-18 year old kids? One that doesn't have a life and they are trying to live their sport dreams through their kids. Now to the other topic. The only win UC was against Dresden, actually they beat Martin as well that year so they won 2 games. Get your facts straight. Who knows right now who is going to win Dresden or Martin. That game is about 4 weeks away and I'm sure that coaches and players from both teams are worrying about their other games more than that one, because if they don't take of business before then it won't matter what happens in that one.

If I remember correctly Clements didn't play much at all. I not sure if he is hurt or if Adams played more because he was running so well. I think Clements had 1 carry for a couple of yards. Hopefully for Dresden they have everyone healthy and ready to go this Friday for the big region matchup with Humboldt. Good luck to OC in their region game this week as well.

If you were at the game what I really believed happened had nothing to do with being in shape or not. It was a total change of momentum with punt going for a safety. Up till that point Dresden had dominated the game. East Robertson took advantage of Dresden's mistakes and deserved to win. They have a good team and 3-4 players are outstanding.

Heat Index was 105 is that not hot enough for you?

Are they going to be throwing it every down? Moving a player like Hudson to WR would make you think that. Who is going to be playing RB?

Flowers did play, I think he scored both of Dyer Co. tds.

How do they look this year? I know they have a very talented RB back this year, who else do they have? I've heard they may line up in the shotgun and throw it a lot. Any truth to that? Who are they scrimmaging this fall?

Why is everyone so high of Humboldt? I know they have the Donald kid back at rb and I think one other starting lineman but to my knowledge they lost every other starter. Is my information incorrect? Is there something I missing? I really think that you have Huntingdon & Westview at the top and then there is not a lot of difference between 3-6 or 7. Should be very interesting and I believe there will be several so called "up sets" in this region.

If Donald is indeed transfering to Liberty, it will be a MAJOR blow to Humboldt. I think that they only had 2 returning starters back from last year, now that leaves only 1. This region is going to be really exciting every Friday night. Obviously the favorites are Huntingdon, Milan and Westview, but there are some other teams that will be very good and could win many regions throughout the state. Can't wait for the season to start!

What kind of weight program is Wartburg on? Those are some great numbers for a high school team.
