  1. HTV I think i finally have a definition for hating. It is the response given when i dont have a valid argument ...and can be used in any situation for someone who deosnt agree with me.Especially when I dont have any facts to back up my argument.
  2. Sigh.....I remember when people spoke english. Those were the days
  3. Agenda Alert!(shameless player promotion ) I will agree tho that Mobley has contributed greatly Ill agree they are coming together....This Head coach and staff has done an excellent job . You can see these kids improving so much from preseasons scrimmages to district games.
  4. WOW I would be careful what i wished for....GC has everyone back do they not? I saw the state game you speak of Looked like Heather pretty much had her way.
  5. My bias is showing? Ive seen all three play multiple times. Sorry just dont see it.
  6. I know what kind of player Rachelle is. She's good, don't get me wrong, very good. I just feel Butler is the better PG and have strong evidence to back it up. I saw Rechelle all through the state tournaments this last year as I was there watching Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. She is a very good player. What kind of offers is she holding? Lauren Avant is the best in the state, no doubt. Headed to UT! Good Luck to her! I would have to agree.....Rachelle is very good but not close to Butler nor Mills for that matter. With the exception of Avant were not Butler and Mills both ALL STATE last year?
  7. Welcome to the IMAC panther.. This thread is starting early
  8. td Dont be a hater.....(ive always wanted to say that) Morristown West is going to be a very very good team. That being said unless Mcclanahan transferred shes still at Oak Ridge
  9. The KGC Lady Pride will be holding tryouts for the new 9U AAU team. Call 865-974-9689 for more info.
  10. HTV i dont mean to hijack the thread but what is Powells scrimmage schedule from here until kick off?
  11. LOL Not gonna touch that one Had a friend from Memphis once tell me i was seeing black helicopters and shooters on the grassy knoll. Pssst! elitebb Those black helicopters just landed on my lawn.
  12. Made me think of the old CSN&Y song. "Teach your children well."
  13. Commander while I appreciate your task at hand. The one club one vote principle has no merit. The Majority of the clubs there are now tied to one another.....With possibly the exception of the Memphis Elite. I can name clubs that are all tied to one another but it would serve no purpose. I could also show up at every meeting and my vote would do nothing. And all these clubs that are merged make up the executive committee. You know all this. Now after ive said all of this.....We still love AAU...The State and Nationals are the best thing going for the younger athletes. Im sorry i cant offer suggestions to pick up attendance.....The state of Tn is allready one of the most represented states at Nationals.
  14. Thanks for you and the girls accepting her as one of your own........I know shes enjoying being around that bunch! Tell Jackie to behave.....Dont want her to get upset and leave a trail of bodys
  15. How about changing the executive committee to reflect people that are actually involved in AAU. Im not speaking of everyone on the committee. I think its strange to ask how to get more teams involved when there are committee members who dont even take there teams to AAU nationals. Dual allegiance isnt a problem(nike-aau) because that happens even at the top of AAU at the national scene. It does however seem to be a conflict. I think the first thing to do is decide if you want to be AAU any longer. There seems to be an identity crises.
  16. Can they recruit isnt the question. I think the better question is can they recruit when the playing field is even and everyone can recruit. Just Sayin!
  17. With Nationals in a few weeks you are going to have a tougher time finding a tournament now..There was just a good one in Sevierville And the Hustle are Hosting one at CAK next weekend.
  18. HOOPGURLZ article about the wildcat showdown.wildcat showdown
  19. No problem. The 11u knoxville srt was won by the dayton lady hoopstars....kgc placed 2nd
  20. I would add something to that and shes a fine player but , score more points than her team has and win the game ,well thats the same as stopping her. Its still a team game last time i checked. A concept im not sure all D1 prospects in the state understands
  21. Coach Carr and his staff were excellent hosts. The officiating crews were very professional and a credit to the game. Its always a pleasure to see Mary Ann keeping watch!. Good job Cheatam co. We loved Strattons.!
  22. This could be a first. I totally agree with Heavy D and ELITEBB After a few years in this no matter what angle you look at it from it all looks the same. I dont know what the answer is but i do know we have enjoyed the AAU experience for the most part. After battling windmills for so long you finally start focusing on the reasons you started this. Sooo come what may we will take our kids and compete the best we can with who we have, coach them to the best of our abilities......and have some fun. Let the ones who need the glory have it.....Let hoopgurlz sell there advertising. Let the exposure events brag about how many coaches had to shell out 400 bucks for a listing of players. But most of all let some kids learn the game, enjoy the relationships, and learn a true sense of team. The feeling of serving something larger than yourself is a better feeling than all the accolades or hardware in the world.
