Someone explain to me why Liberty is an "underdog" here. Pretty much everyone--7-2A coaches included--are high on Humboldt, yet Liberty just about beat them in week one. Don't have the stats in front of me, but I believe Liberty outgained them significantly.
Sure, they lost a lot. But so did Lexington. In fact, you could argue that Lexington lost more. Liberty graduated more seniors, but they field a lot of seniors this year as well. From what I understand, Lexington is primarily juniors and sophomores.
You also have to remember Liberty is a 3A school with 4A enrollment.
Does that mean Liberty wins the game? Nope. But I sure do see a lot of people here writing them off not only in this game but also in the playoff hunt, and I cannot figure out why.
