i play for mba- def. not an acl, prob a high sprain

    Brohm

Brian Brohm is a very very good QB. What impressed me most about him was his throwing power and accuracy while on the run. I watched the tape of the game today, and that one long pass we had was a dart. He must be pretty strong too because he ran the ball hard for a QB. I'd love to see him play for the Vols, although I don't see it happening, but I'll keep my fingers crossed.
  4. I also played in the game for MBA and would like to say every Trinity player was a class-act. They didn't take cheap shots, run their mouths at all like other teams, or play dirty. I snapped on the field goals and PATs and although it didn't really affect me, I wish I could have found whoever had the air horn. I think it reflects poorly on the Trinity fans since any parent or coach could have stopped it. I did hear the story about the cheerleaders and their sign and that also upset me. Trinity fans were extremely rude to the cheerleaders. The Trinity players, however, were awesome competition, and I wish the team the best luck this year.
  5. running through the power T would be the greatest experience an individual could have. I list that as #1
  6. I'm not so sure Burnett's knee is healing like the trainers would have hoped. I'd like to think he'll be ready to play against Fresno St., but I believe he won't be 100% for a few weeks, and it will be a while before he's ross your fingers because we need him.
  7. Dom, let me say I loved your article about the MBA-Trinity game. Thanks for the props.
  8. i am an ensworth grad and we beat mba our 8th grade year 18-12 i think. that game will go down as the greatest contest between two middle school teams in the history of football.
  9. It really is a crying shame people like you have to ruin all the seriousness and professionalism of our message boards. Take your mindless blabber elsewhere. Gettis, show me the scholarship offer and I'll be persuaded.
  10. You had a good scrimmage Gettis- don't think our pass defense is no good though- We had zero preperation for you guys.
  11. Bud, doesn't it seem a little unrealistic for DB to come all the way to Nashville for a scrimmage? I was very happy to be a part of that 2 year series between MBA and DB and I hope the two will hook up in the future. Collarbone- I won't say you don't know what you're talking about, but try not to be so biased in your opinions. What basis do you have to make the comment "just b\c hey do not have 100 kids on there team doesn't mean and a butt load of money to get kids to come to their school means they r no good"? That's not even worth defending. Randy throws the ball well but I seriously doubt he runs as well as Fisher. It really is too bad we don't play Ezell in a regular season game. Oh well, good luck this year.
  12. Again I motion that coacht lock this topic- I think BA has been through enough with the whole recuiting business. Also, I don't think anyone can accuse a school of recruiting without specific names of players and coaches. However naming names would be inappropriate in this forum. Ergo, the topic be locked.
  13. i'm pretty sure this topic has been drained of its life. i say we quit talking about it.
  14. Who is the linebacker from Goodpasture? We scrimmaged them last Friday and not one in particular stood out as a hard hitter.
  15. My favorites are probably The Program and Any Given Sunday.
  16. I haven't heard anything about this, but I'm sure the receivers and cornerbacks out there will be upset. We lineman love the cold.
  17. I'd much rather play the game at MBA. Knowing that the entire stadium will be overflowing with people is very exciting.
  18. Rollred, I don't have the dates of the scrimmages right now. I do know we will scrimmage Riverdale at Riverdale next friday, although I don't know the time. I do know we will scrimmage CPA, Goodpasture, and one other team over the weeks before the Trinity game. As for maxes, I only know a few right off the top of my head. I'll be happy to email you a full list if you want. We worked hard this summer and I hope it pays off. I was very happy to hear an MBA fan saw us running to Vanderbilt from his office Wednesday morning. We had our last day of minicamp today, and starting monday we'll be in full pads. Less than a month until the Trinity game, we can barely wait.
  19. I do believe MBA will be setting up additional bleachers in the endzone for the Trinity game. I also heard the gates will be opened at 4 and that parking will be a huge problem. Good thing I won't have to worry about either.
  20. My two favorites are by far Friday Night Lights and The Junction Boys. If you have read Friday Night Lights yet, today go to the store and buy it. It follows a team from Texas throughout their season and is beautifully well written. One of my favorite books I've ever read. Also the Autobiography of Walter Payton- can't think of the title right now- is a great book.
  21. Troy Fleming has been an awesome fullback for the vols for it seems like the past 10 years. I remember him playing at BGA and he tore it up.
  22. Bearden plays DB this year? That'll be an awesome game. We played in Kingsport last year and from what I hear they alway shave a good team.
  23. AintSkeerd59

    Div. II

lots of people know about d-II schools
  24. If I didn't have a game I'd be at the Bearden vs. Farragut game. Who do you think will win?
  25. MBA always has a good freshman team- although they'll be missing Coach Dan McGugin this year(took a job coaching football at Miami). They always play the best middle TN opponents possible and at least one team like MUS or McCallie.
