I would add upcoming CPA's Luke Landers name in the mix. I don't have his numbers but at least 8 TD's after missing at least two games this year. He had a great game last night against Ezelll Harding. He is fast and will juke his defenders out of their socks. He does well on defense also.

The CPA/DCA game should be a great game. Both team have great traditions and respect each other. Both teams are on a roll beating their region teams soundly. Both have good running backs with different running styles. I think the creativity of the coaches will be a deciding factor to the outcome. There still a few games to play before this game but I hope the region championship comes down to this game.

Haven't seen them play this season but happy to see their program is up this year. Congrats.

Travis Sikes, Jr. CPA has good hands and great moves.

FRA will have to play hard to take 4th in the region and make the playoffs behind Ezell, CPA and DCA. With each team in the region playing everyone in region this year, this could happen.

Ezell has great air attack and DCA has advantage on the ground. The defense will take this game. I would favor Ezell but close game.

Good Luck Adam! Enjoyed watching him play last season. Had a great year. Hope his receivers do him well like Dan Williams and Travis Sikes did las year. Stay healthy.

I've been attending high school football games for over 40yrs- never paid to park except championship games at the college stadiums and then if you want you can find free parking if you want to do the walking.

Kevin Murray's name not in any stat's - is he hurt? did he play? is he still there?

Gun shots in the parking lot at Pearl-Cohn were eluded to by the CSS announcers at the end of the game broadcast and mentioned on Channel 5 @ 10pm newscast. No injuries were reported.

Goodpasture QB had a great night. He can throw and has good targets. CPA has not jelled yet. Tough loss but can recover with a couple of injured starters back in lineup. Goodpasture running game needs work. I thought CPA handled that well. P.Turner towered over any defensive back on him. Good luck to both teams.

The TENNESSEAN coverage of high school football for 2003 has been non existent to date. I thought they improved last year on the Saturday issue/coverage but I feel sorry for the minor high school sports especially the spring sports. One team may get coverage once a week. After basketball season high school sports activities rarely get any press. These athletes deserve some attention also. Even in the major sports off-seasons, high school sporting events/story do not get adequate press. I think the City Paper helps but agree they focus on same schools. I miss The Banner.

Personally, I do not know why any girl would want to play football with the boys. It is way too physical. But I think if a female athlete is ready, willing and ABLE to compete, she should be given the opportunity. She should not be given nor expect any special treatment on the field (practice or game). Then if she can beat out a boy for a position, let her at it.
