Give Ramsey some slack, his first game starting and he is a sophomore. He was hit about every play. That INT-TD was a mistake, but he'll have growing pains. The kicking game played a HUGE factor in this game. Estes was much better last year, I don't know what was wrong. Blake usually does the kickoffs, so hopefully that will improve. I miss having Terry Hall boot in the endzone. One kickoff tonight the BALL went to about the 40!! Coach Seals does a good job and wouldn't be surprised to see him as the head coach whenever Smith retires.

Rob Davis from Mo'East won the fastest lineman over 250, once again, by a lot. Allen Estes won the the punting contest.

The baseball player is Austin Davis, but he is like 5'5 or 5'6. I don't see him starting though, it'll be one of the sophomores, Jerry Harris or Brad Ramsey. As far as 4 returning OL that unfortunately is incorrect too. Brandon Pritchett has moved back to Texas. The transfer from NC was at East in the spring semester and was on the baseball team but never played so he quit, he is actually Austin Davis' cousin, his name is Zach Causby, he looks like a WR/DB.

Kent Basile is pretty good for Morristown East. This year as a FRESHMAN he has had a lot of playing time, and has even started a couple games. He plays very hard.

Decker not only a great coach but a good man as he is a deacon at my church.

Morrison didn't do well at all at East. Of course were lacking in talent those 2 years.

Kent played football in 8th grade and I'm pretty sure his only year. He is about 6'2 or 3 freshman. Basketball is his sport, not football.

East played alright before the game got out of reach. Coach Smith if you read this message board, you've done one heck of a job but we have got to our players disciplined. Every time we get a big play we look for the flag before we cheer. We get silly personal foul and holding penalties all time. And to any band people or anyone who knows of the incident involving an East student stealing the feather things from the colorguard, he got caught obviously and shall be taken care of. He represented our school very poorly.

I heard that he's gonna be ok, that it was basically the same thing that had happened to Wahkeem Simpson at the Cocke Co. game. I have no idea if he'll be able to play friday or not.

Good game, as Charvez Francisco gets closer to the school rushing record. What about #1 Shawn Penland? He's made a lot of big catches this year as a sophomore, he'll eventually be in the database on here I would think. Another player was taken off the field on a stretcher after being down for about 10 silent minutes, scary moment. It was #45 Geordie Larsen, If anyone finds out anything about it post it on here please.

It was 7th in a row actually. We were in the game until that kickoff return, that lost all momentum. We had a to or 2 and we just couldn't stop that running back with that kind of delay pitch to the left, you gotta a big gain off of and a 3rd or 4th and short. We didn't have any kind of running game and dropped passes. To sum it all up, WE GOT SHALACKED. Hopefully the tables might turn in the near future....

Larry Smith of Morristown EAST. He is in his first year coming from North Carolina, where he won state championships, to a team that had won 4 games in the past 3 years. Through 5 games this year we are 4-1, of course we've weakened our schedule this year though. He's getting the feeling of winning back to EAST High. Thank you Coach Smith.

#35 is Matt Southerland and I've heard he has 13 tackles for loss, and he has had at LEAST 10 sacks that I can remember. #48 is Brandon Sturm, but I don't think he has 6 sacks, I think you are confused with #45 Geordie Larsen, who does have about 6 sacks.

Isn't he the guy who just last night was 20 for 25 for 300 yards and 6 TD's against NFL talent, and the most consistent QB year in and year out. I think so. You're right STL, Tennessee is lame. MOVE. Football is one of the best parts of this state. Casey Clausen gets NO respect, he makes ill-advised passes occaisionally and has no coordination in his legs, but the guy is a winner, 2-1 against Florida how many times did Peyton beat Florida. We overlooked South Carolina who is a pretty good team, and we needed to wake up to be prepared for our next 3 games, Auburn, Georgia, and Bama(lol).

Very True, remember what happened this past Saturday to Tennessee? I thought it would be an easy win (I predicted 38-7 UT), but I was very wrong as the game went to OT. We SHOULD HAVE lost to South Carolina, they outplayed us by far. Their TRUE freshman RB made us(very good defense) look pretty silly. Just a thought, hey it could happen.

You're hilarious dude. We are already 4-1, you all are 2-3 of course we haven't come close to playing Jeff Co. or Maryville so it's understandable why you all have lost. I get what you are saying but you're taking to extremes like we're (no offense) hancock co. (if they had a football team) against like carson newman or something. It's the same city I don't think the talent is loaded that much. Wahkeem will probably play Friday, they just took him off on a stretcher to be precautionary since it was dealing with his neck. Stupid remark? Son you shouldn't have a diploma as bad as your spelling and grammar was. But back to football, we did lose to Lenoir City but it had nothing to do with our defense. You probably weren't even there, it was because we had like 5 turnovers and one of our punts was blocked and they got a couple big plays on us. West has by far played better teams than we have. I have been to every East game, and I haven't seen West's D, but ours is pretty good, not too much size but still quality. I think we have as good a shot as any this year as long as we don't get so many penalties, but we'll see on Friday.
