This weekend is also the Loretto St. Patrick's Day Tourney.

Sportzter1, I will be there to support both the Lady Eagles and the Lady Mustangs. I hope neither of their seasons have to come to an end 2mara night.

No you are not mistaken Inot2bad, there is excitement in the air in Lawrence County. I don't ever recall a time that two teams from this county making it to the state tourney in the same year. Better yet, playing on the same night, in back to back games. I want to congratulate al the girls on both teams for playing with a lot of heart and for making it to the Boro. Also, I would like to say great season to the Lady Cats of LCHS, it would have been wild if ya'll would have made it as well. But you girls had a heck of a year and don't hold your heads down, there will be other games. See all of you in the Boro come Wednesday night.

I have never seen Seymour play this season, as a matter of a fact, I have never seen them play. So I won't be posting a prediction on here but I think that Loretto should give them a run for their money. I have heard all the stuff about the 6'4'' post of Seymour but the last time I had checked the Lady Mustangs have been pretty successful all season long of stopping tall post players. The coaches will have the Lady Mustangs ready to stop the low post game. I hope after Wednesday night that Loretto's trip to the Boro wont be done just yet.

I was just wondering if anyone out there on this board is giving Loretto a chance to win tonight?????? I know nothing about Chester Co. at all but what I do know is that they have to be good to be playing this late in the year. Loretto has a very good young team and they play with alot of heart. I know this prediction may cause a huge uprising but I am going to go with the Lady Mustangs by 3-5. Now what do ya'll think the outcome will be???

I don't know to much about this Cheatham Co. team, I saw them play last year in the region tourney and they looked pretty good then. But as far as this year goes, all I have seen is their record and that looks pretty impressive. This is the stuff I do know Giles Co. has probably one of the best inside players in girls basketball in Lesile. Taylor Wade isnt to bad herself. The outside play of the guards and the dominating force inside by Giles will be to much for Cheatham to handle. I am going to say Giles by 5 points. The other game is a toss up. I will be pulling for my Lady Mustangs but this game will be a toss up. The two earlier games were two instant classics with Loretto winning both. If Loretto comes out and plays the way they did against Stewart Co. then they will be in trouble. If Loretto plays the way they did against Giles Co. in the district championship game, then Loretto will come out on top. My pick in this game will be Loretto by 2 in overtime. The region championship will be Loretto vs. Giles Co. round number 4.

Well Loretto just beat Stewart Co. Loretto now moves on to play the winner of Waverly and Lewis Co on Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock. Loretto came out flat in this game. Stewart Co. took advantage of that and gave the Lady Mustangs a run for their money. For Loretto to advance further in this tourney they need to come out playing like it could very well be their last game of the season. But good game girls and may you continue to win all the way to the state tourney in the Boro.

Can anyone tell me what radion station the Giles Co's games get broadcasted on????

Once again its funny how everyone on this board can forget about Loretto's field. Come on now, no one can match the outfield wall that Loretto has. The wall just makes it seem that much more like a minor league field. Anyone on this board who has never seen this field needs to make the drive down to Loretto and check it out, it will be worth your drive. Still, it just surprises me how easily everyone can forget about this field.

I think that it is so funny that this same topic comes up about 4 or 5 times a year and everytime it does no one ever mentions Loretto. Yeah, there might be a couple of people that may mention but that isn't as many mentions that it deserves. Everyone that reads this can ask any former or current player that plays in district 9AA and they all will say that Loretto's field is by far the best. I was lucky enough to get to play on it for four years.

When are you people going to stop and realize that the best sophmore is playing at Loretto High School right now. Jana Cross is by far the best sophmore. She gives teams fits night in and night out. She just won district 9AA tourney M.V.P. Thursday night and I believe that she should have won the season MVP won also. I am not taking nothing away from Robin Lesile but I just think that Jana is a better player. So my vote goes for Jana Cross from Loretto.

I honestly believe that it will come down to Giles Co. and Loretto in the championship game. Giles and Loretto have been the most dominating forces this year. I know you Marshall Co. people will bring up the game between Loretto and your selves at Marshall but that game was just a fluke. Loretto proved that when you finally made the trip to Loretto. I want to say that Loretto will come away with the district but Giles has had their number both times they played. I believe that Giles matches up better girl for girl with Loretto and that is why they play better against Loretto than anyone else. But this is tourney time and anyone can win any given night and old records against one another go straight out the window. May this be one of the best girl's district tourney in the years past.

Sorry about that I dont know where I read that they played last night but oh well. Doesnt Loretto host Wayne Co. tonight at Loretto? I dont know if I will make this game since Giles Co. plays Lawrenceburg tonight in the Burg. Tiredbbmom are you Jana Cross's mom????

Who won this game???????

There is no school that even comes close to Giles Co. Last year anywhere that the team played at it was loud. The students travel in large numbers no matter how far the game might be. I remember last year when Giles played Loretto at Giles, that gym had to be the loudest gym that I had ever stepped foot in. So there is no need to even question this one.......Giles Co. for sure!

How does Giles look this year so far????? Will there be any chance to repeat for them?

Come on now JacketPride......wow the Jackets have finally beat Loretto in football. All I can say is it took ya'll long enough. What was it close to 10 years in a row for us??? And about baseball, last time I checked this was a football board not baseball. As far as the number of times that yall beat us, you was right. It was 2 times in regular season and it 2 times in playoffs. Ya'll handed us our first loss in the tournment and then elimanated us from it. But you don't need to be talking smack about a team that has been you pretty handly for quite some time now.
