A name that has not been brought up is lavon King at Moore Co. Great coach and would be a good fit to keep the Oakland program going.

The teams in region 5 will play tough but so will the teams from region 6. Last year both number 1 seeds and both number 3 seeds won in the first round. It seems to me that the 2 and 3 seeds are pretty even and the 1's are a step above but that is what made them number 1 seeds. The respect that needs to be given should be to all of these teams give them there respect or leave them alone.

What school was your son at last year?

I have a good job and I am very happy with the players that I have. I just want Lincoln County to be as good as they can be and put everything together. They did win 9 games this year and that is something that alot of teams dream about. By the way this is not my screen name nor do I have one but I thought it was very important to show my support for the program and for Coach Thompson so I borrowed it from a friend.

The things I am about to say are from a true Falcon. I played at LC and I coached there by putting things on this board you do not help any of the problems that Lincoln may or may not have. Why do people watch Jerry Springer because in my opinion it is to laugh at the people who will bash a family member or break a family apart. Lincoln County has great tradition and will always have that but if there are problems don't give other people fuel for the fire. Handle the problems in house Lincoln Co. business is Lincoln Co. business not just anyone who can get on this board. A house divided will fall so put the efforts into getting everything back together. I am proud to be a Falcon and I will always be but I can get disgusted with all of these opinions with no effort to improve anything. Make the problems go away fix them don't just have opinions and do nothing else. Coach Thompson has and will continue to be a stable part of Lincoln Co. support him he has earned that. Since Lincoln County has opened they have always played in the highest division. There titles were won against Gallitin 1982, Germantown 1990, and Riverdale 1993. Coach Thompson has and will continue to be the best thing for Falcon football. I would like to see the crowds come back and the fever to really take hold of Lincoln County again I would also like to see some energetic young coaches with the burning desire that COACH THOMPSON so often refers to. There is no doubt that Coach T is the man just get the assistants to bring the fire that I know still burns in him. Hey don't forget 2 of those state championships were lead by COACH THOMPSON.

This is from someone who was there and paid attention. There was only one bag and only one hat he had no intention of misleading anyone. It could be funny to some people the way you wrote the message at first but Dont'a and his family just wanted to make the announcement not to rub it anyones face. Quality young man who just made a choice.

Yoyo you don't have many good things to say about Marshall county. Were you one the guys that left after they gave up thirty points a game last year because if so that is pretty bitter the players didn't do anything wrong to you.

I think Dont'a Hightower at Marshall County would be a great choice for the 3a lineman according to the Tennessean he has 100 tackles, 5 interceptions, and has scored 13 or 14 touchdowns. I also think what hurts some of these players aroung the state is that they play a lineman position on one side of the ball and a back position on the other so some people don't know where to vote for them.

DL is fundamentelly sound with very few turnovers. Giles moved the ball but then turned it over and the same can be said for Creekwood. Marshall county has played slow or sloppy and still won ballgames. The key to this game is how sharp will Marshall County be and how many turnovers DL causes. DL will not beat themselves can Marshall County do the same?

Sir if you have watched it all year and it bothers you that bad then you must be very bored. What I mean by that is if it bothers you that bad don't you have something better to do with your time?

IMO there has been no brainwashing. What I see is a coaching staff, community, and solid group of players working together for the common goal of being as successful as they can be. There ways may not be yours but if that bothers you why do you even pay any attention to it. The negative stuff that you post only gives them more attention and from what I see out of there fans they are just worried about Marshall Co. and thats all they have control over.

Our coaches will be around for a long time. They have a job to do and I can't see any of these guys not staying the course.

I have to disagree with this opinion. I know Coach Thomas personally and he is very proud of his staff and there work efforts. He has aquired young energetic coaches who still have alot to learn but every coach on the staff is a proven winner and he will stick buy them just like they will stick buy him they are like a family. The job at hand is to build character and the football program at the same time these guys are what he needs to reach that goal. Patience is a virtue STAY THE COURSE!!!!

He has been offered by UT, Bama, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Middle Tn, Ga Tech, Aubuurn all full offers. South Carolina, Lsu, Florida, Colorada, And NC State are interested.

The team and the coaching staff are starting to gel but that was a nice shot at the end since you are a coach yourself. Good luck to your squad tonight, but you don't have a game tonight do you.

Fan base drops off at any school when the wins aren't what the fans expect, but when thats what you are know for it really hurts. Fill the pit rock the house and bring back the swagger, and stop making excuses statman. Lincoln Co. is just like Gallitin, Oak Ridge, and Oakland constant powers of past decades that have fallen. Most poeple want it to be the way it was but what are they doing to get it back to that point. Man-up get the fans out there support the players and the program and let them know how much pride you have in them unconditionally. That means if they lose a game get more fans there and get louder.

Its hard to believe that you watched the same game I did without Hightower on defense HC scores at least 28pts. I do agree that the young man was not used enough on offense but maybe the coach has learned his lesson and if you have a future SEC player you better use it they don't come around every year.
