  1. EASILY , BA @ Giles Co., two of the best players, two of the best teams, great atmosphere, public vs. private, and a nail-biter ending- this game had it all. The only one with a chance to top it will be the one coming up on Tuesday night.
  2. Just curious......who are the 3 freshman that dress sometimes on the road?
  3. That's real big of you itzme! I ask a question and you have to be negative ( as you usually are unless if it involves BA ) we'll see in 20 years after we do a where are they now? and see who's better!!! hahahaha
  4. Pope John Paul II comes to Brentwood Academy Tuesday night to take on the Eagles who have yet to be beaten in-state, however PJP is having a good year and will be ready to play, do they stand much of a chance?
  5. bball- just because BA has a great team doesn't mean we put that in front of academics, I don't really understand your point......... i'm just saying overall ( maybe not you personnally ) MBA fans enjoy speaking highly of their football team on here and taking jabs at BA, so you shouldn't flip out at a little jab at your weak basketball team.
  6. HAHAHAHA, unbelievable- it's ok for MBA fans to talk all the football trash they want and make fun of BA for losing state chamionships in football but go and cry when they get a little grief about one of their other weaker sports teams. If it's true that good sports = bad academics, MBA would have 100 really dumb students because you have won 2/3 Clinic Bowls, just because a school has good athletes doesn't say anything else about that school other than, they have good atheletes, you should know that. And it is pretty bad that most MBA fans disappear during basketball season, it's about supporting your team through thick and thin. I can't wait until BA crushes MBA ( at least ) twice this year.
  7. I 2nd that about the traffic, it was a mess.......but more importantly what a game, Ryan was absolutly on fire from 3 and Brandon as usual was dominant in the paint, and did a great job staying out of foul trouble to stick around for the entire game+ overtime. Both teams really played to their strengths, but BA was just a little much in the end- congrats to both teams can't wait for the rematch.
  8. Can a FR fan give us BA fans a little info about your team this year- strengths, weaknesses, record, big wins and losses etc.
  9. I'm a BA fan but from what I've seen and heard Giles County seems to be among the toughest places to play in the state.
  10. YESS!!!!! Though I admit I thought BA would win comfortably it sounds like one heck of a game and i'm so excited that BA pulled it out in the end, congrats to both teams, sounds like both stars lived up to the hype tonight, see you guys in Nashville soon.
  11. Giles Co. had their fun last year while Brandon was still young, but this year's team will be too much- Bone, Turner, Wright, and the rest lead BA to a 12 point victory.
  12. I wish BA played more WillCo. teams during the season, these games would draw big crowds, and I remember BA had a classic several years ago vs. Centennial.
  13. BA looked pretty sharp tonight vs. BGA, posting a 14 point victory after losing all three matchups to them last year, can't wait til Tuesday.
  14. I was very impressed with the Eagles tonight. Though I must also say the last minute 3 point shooting by BGA was amazing, the real story was BA working as team to figure out a way to knock off BGA. Brandon was his usual self ( what a dunk!!! ) but Mason and Josh and the other guys really stepped it up and that was the difference this year from last. I can't wait for the results from KY tommorow and the Giles Co. game on Tuesday.
  15. Though I wish BA could've pulled this one out, it's great to hear that Brandon played well against such a quality player. There has been some posters on other threads who have doubted his ability to hang with big time college level players- hopefully this will silence some of his doubters. The Tennesseean had the next leading scorer as 5 for BA- and Turner only had 2? Brandon's supporting cast needs to step it up in these big time games if BA hopes to win them.
  16. Don't forget winning is a mark of a great player, Harrison had 0 titles and Wright all ready has two and will be favored to win the next two. Though I think Brandon needs to and will add some bulk, remember this isn't football and there's some little known guy in the NBA something like.....Kevin Garnett who is built like Brandon and makes a decent living in the NBA.
  17. You're entitled to your own opinion about Brandon but most experts who rate high school players for a living have him as a top 5 prospect for his class, the question isn't really if he'll excel in college but how early he will head for the NBA.
  18. Congrats to BA, I thought this one would be close but I was pleasantly surprised to hear that BA dominated- take care of DB and show east TN what BA basketball is all about.
  19. He's a great player.....glad to see he made the right college choice.
  20. Like you said Berry, Hogan, and Huie are three returning proven lineman, another likely starter will be Drew McElhenny who started several games at center this past year and the other spots will be up for grabs- we seem to have several exceptional players returning but lack the depth of some past years- people are going to have to step up.
  21. Until ANY Williamson County team beats BA you're going to have a hard time convincing the BA faithful that anybody is better. On paper, I agree Franklin was the best, but if Franklin and BA squared off I would take BA in a heart beat. And the Williamson A.M. all-county team had a terrible error, Tyler Grffin made 2nd team defense- at safety- despite never playing a down this year at safety.
  22. BA's biggest hole is at QB for sure, there are good returning backs, lineman, and receivers, but a QB must step up- possible canidates are Drew Bledsoe ( A rising BA Jr. not Bills QB ) and John Garrett. This year is no different than most of the others, lose a lot and return a lot. MBA is in a similar boat losing several but returning a QB and RB, how do the other teams look for next year? In other DII news Baylor JR. lineman Jacques McClendon committed to UT.
  23. Definitly a step in the right direction, I think we need to pick up another bat or two to be back in the drivers seat.
  24. Brentwood Academy basketball -- the new football. Wes, you know I support BA basketball hardcore, but that's quite a statement, we'll discuss it when basketball gets half as many titles as football.
