What time is the game? Will anybody have updates?
-
I am pulling for BA 100% and believe they can pull this off if they play great, but either way this will be great expierence for the team and should help them come tourney time. And I agree with Wes.....nice to see an MBA fan come out of hiburnation, RRR- did you see Brandan's dunk on Thursday @ MBA?
-
I read in the paper that this is a tournament.....will BA keep playing if they win or have to come home? Also, are there other any big name schools participating?
-
Definitly BA, Father Ryan, BGA from the middle, I haven't seen enough of the west and east to guess those. Does anybody know where region tournament is for the middle this year? Also, are sub-state and state at David Lipscomb again?
-
WOW, guess BA wasn't too hung over after their huge win over Giles. I'm not going to even try to break it down. There was just domination from BA from the opening tip to the final whistle in almost every aspect of the game, let's just hope BA doesn't get too big-headed, there's still a lot of basketball to be played. But as for tonight, GO EAGLES- i couldn't be more proud.

BA pulled out an OT thriller two weeks ago at Father Ryan. The rematch is tommorrow night @ BA , can BA stay undefeated in the state?

Carlton Flatt's Quote re. BA/Giles
7059527176 replied to theinternetpolice's topic in Boys Basketball
I was caught off guard by the quote also, I assumed possibly the overtime football win over MBA two years ago, or maybe one of his 9 state championships would qualify as the greatest night in BA sports history. There is always the possibility of a mis-quote, which I hear are very common in The Tennessean or that Flatt was just trying to show some love for the basketball team-which is a classy thing to do, either way I don't think a huge deal should be made about it. -
I know Giles is bitter about losing, but that's pretty weak- chalking it up as a win just because you think Smith outplayed Wright- which is definitly up for debate. Yes, Smith had one AMAZING dunk, but Brandon had 3 dunks and swatted Tyler out of the gym one time. I personnally don't remember who outplayed who last year but I do remember that Giles Co. won both, I think in a few years I will remember that BOTH players played very well this year but BRENTWOOD ACADEMY as a team pulled both of them out.

EASILY , BA @ Giles Co., two of the best players, two of the best teams, great atmosphere, public vs. private, and a nail-biter ending- this game had it all. The only one with a chance to top it will be the one coming up on Tuesday night.
-
Just curious......who are the 3 freshman that dress sometimes on the road?
-
That's real big of you itzme! I ask a question and you have to be negative ( as you usually are unless if it involves BA ) we'll see in 20 years after we do a where are they now? and see who's better!!! hahahaha

Pope John Paul II comes to Brentwood Academy Tuesday night to take on the Eagles who have yet to be beaten in-state, however PJP is having a good year and will be ready to play, do they stand much of a chance?
-
bball- just because BA has a great team doesn't mean we put that in front of academics, I don't really understand your point......... i'm just saying overall ( maybe not you personnally ) MBA fans enjoy speaking highly of their football team on here and taking jabs at BA, so you shouldn't flip out at a little jab at your weak basketball team.
-
HAHAHAHA, unbelievable- it's ok for MBA fans to talk all the football trash they want and make fun of BA for losing state chamionships in football but go and cry when they get a little grief about one of their other weaker sports teams. If it's true that good sports = bad academics, MBA would have 100 really dumb students because you have won 2/3 Clinic Bowls, just because a school has good athletes doesn't say anything else about that school other than, they have good atheletes, you should know that. And it is pretty bad that most MBA fans disappear during basketball season, it's about supporting your team through thick and thin. I can't wait until BA crushes MBA ( at least ) twice this year.

I 2nd that about the traffic, it was a mess.......but more importantly what a game, Ryan was absolutly on fire from 3 and Brandon as usual was dominant in the paint, and did a great job staying out of foul trouble to stick around for the entire game+ overtime. Both teams really played to their strengths, but BA was just a little much in the end- congrats to both teams can't wait for the rematch.
-
Can a FR fan give us BA fans a little info about your team this year- strengths, weaknesses, record, big wins and losses etc.
-
I'm a BA fan but from what I've seen and heard Giles County seems to be among the toughest places to play in the state.
-
YESS!!!!! Though I admit I thought BA would win comfortably it sounds like one heck of a game and i'm so excited that BA pulled it out in the end, congrats to both teams, sounds like both stars lived up to the hype tonight, see you guys in Nashville soon.

Giles Co. had their fun last year while Brandon was still young, but this year's team will be too much- Bone, Turner, Wright, and the rest lead BA to a 12 point victory.
-
I wish BA played more WillCo. teams during the season, these games would draw big crowds, and I remember BA had a classic several years ago vs. Centennial.
-
BA looked pretty sharp tonight vs. BGA, posting a 14 point victory after losing all three matchups to them last year, can't wait til Tuesday.
-
I was very impressed with the Eagles tonight. Though I must also say the last minute 3 point shooting by BGA was amazing, the real story was BA working as team to figure out a way to knock off BGA. Brandon was his usual self ( what a dunk!!! ) but Mason and Josh and the other guys really stepped it up and that was the difference this year from last. I can't wait for the results from KY tommorow and the Giles Co. game on Tuesday.

Though I wish BA could've pulled this one out, it's great to hear that Brandon played well against such a quality player. There has been some posters on other threads who have doubted his ability to hang with big time college level players- hopefully this will silence some of his doubters. The Tennesseean had the next leading scorer as 5 for BA- and Turner only had 2? Brandon's supporting cast needs to step it up in these big time games if BA hopes to win them.
