Not so fast, my friend. It wasn't that long ago that we actually led Cookeville with only a couple of minutes left in the game. At Cookeville. And I don't know what that guy is talking about when he says we don't have a good coach. We have a great coach. Maybe not as good as Joslin, but pretty darn good.

Yep, we scrimmaged with defending 3A state champs Livingston Academy. Outscored them 5 TDs to 4, with the opponents' four coming against our reserves.

A bold prediction. I'd go with Maryville, just to be a conformist.

It is Dickie Brown, formerly of Bledsoe County. But this upcoming season will be his FIFTH here, so he's no spring chicken.

Not to mention we'll be at home. And we could beat them and tear down the goalposts. *starts to salivate* As for the playoffs, we'll see. I remain cautiously optimistic.

An "excuse" is an explanation that you don't want to hear.

They need to hire Randy Sanders. I'm sure he could tear up high school defenses, at least.

Name a season that's been better and I might change it. Congrats, Maryville fans. It was more lopsided than it should have been (ARGH! MISTAKES!!!), but you pretty conclusively proved that you were the better team out there. Good luck the rest of the way. At least we did better than Gatlinburg-Pittman.

Apparently Maryville's third string is far better than Cleveland's first string then.

Cookeville vs. Maryville. Now I'd pay to see that one.

Don't worry, I am sure there will be multiple reasons for why we will lose.

Or one that is dripping with sarcasm. Maryville easily wins this one 37-14. But only because the refs stole it from us.

This will be the first step in White County's glorious run to a State Title. Warriors win 34-13. Yert.

Well, who takes the win in this epic struggle for third place? I say...... White County by 13.

If we goober it up against Rhea like we did against Red Bank, we can just say we wanted to play the Rebs.

I think they would be better if Red Bank had beat us, rather than White County beating us.

Both. Dell was rusty and fumbled it away once. JJ had some costly penalties due to his temper, but did play decently.
